Abstract

The halal food industry in Bangka Belitung is a rapidly growing sector in line with the increasing awareness of Muslim consumers about the importance of halal products. This study aims to analyze the market power of halal food companies in the province using the Lerner Index, and to relate it to the price concept proposed by Ibn Khaldun. The method used is a quantitative approach by calculating the Lerner Index based on price and marginal cost data from 173 halal food companies. The research results show a variation in market power, where some companies have the ability to set prices above marginal cost, while others operate in a more competitive market. In Ibn Khaldun's perspective, excessively high prices due to market power can create injustice in the accessibility of halal products. These findings underscore the importance of policies that support healthy competition and fair pricing, to create a more equitable halal market in Bangka Belitung

Abstract

This study discusses the dualism of the education system in Indonesia from the perspective of Iksan Kamil Sahri, a pesantren anthropologist and one of the most productive young scholars. He explained the massification of pesantren, such as the institutionalization of pesantren, which is firmly rooted amid society with various challenges. In collecting data, this study uses library research with qualitative methods emphasizing meaning through a qualitative naturalistic approach using content analysis. The final result of this study states that the educational dualism that occurs creates a value crisis in human civilization that considers science to be value-free, so the impact of scholastic duality is the decline of Islamic educational institutions that do not emphasize mastery of empirical knowledge, even though in terms of morality it can maintain the value system and scientific disciplines classical science. Meanwhile, public educational institutions emphasizing practical knowledge are very fragile regarding religious knowledge. In addition, the disparity stated by Iksan Kamil Sahri between pesantren and general education, which is managed differently by the two ministries in Indonesia, is due to the different educational objectives that exist between the two. Pesantren education aims to make graduates religious experts, while national education in Indonesia aims to produce graduates who meet industry standards to be ready for work.

Abstract

This article examines the construction of electoral regulations in Indonesia concerning representational and identity politics. Although Law No. 7 of 2017 on General Elections governs electoral processes to safeguard national identity and interests, gaps remain in addressing the legal dimensions of identity politics. This study aims to analyze how identity politics is constructed within Indonesia’s electoral law and to assess the extent to which these laws accommodate the principle of representation without fostering identity-based discrimination. Employing a non-doctrinal research method with a normative approach, this study utilizes documentation and literature analysis as its primary data sources. The findings reveal that electoral regulations are designed to make elections an instrument for protecting national identity and interests. While the Election Law does not explicitly incorporate regional, ethnic, or religious representation, its implementation reflects the influence of specific legal arrangements, such as those governing the Special Autonomy of Papua Province, the Aceh Government, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. These special regulations provide limited space for representational politics based on regional, cultural, and religious affiliations. Furthermore, electoral regulations prohibit various campaign practices that may evoke or exploit identity politics. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the dynamics between representation and identity politics within the legal framework of Indonesia’s electoral system. Abstract

This research explores the importance of integrating environmental interests into the legal system, advocating justice for nature, and realizing a greener and more sustainable world. Based on a comprehensive literature review and critical analysis of relevant sources, this study identifies the key elements needed, namely effective environmental law enforcement mechanisms, active participation of stakeholders, and synergies that link community participation with environmental law awareness. A reliable law enforcement mechanism is a key pillar in environmental protection, involving a fair and efficient judicial process supported by robust law enforcement agencies and adequate sanctions. Stakeholders, including governments, law enforcement agencies, civil society, and the private sector, play a central role in policy formation, implementation monitoring, participation in decision-making, environmental advocacy, and increased awareness of environmental law. The combination of active community participation and environmental law awareness has a positive impact on maintaining environmental sustainability, with community participation covering environmental management, engaging in decision-making, and community empowerment. In contrast, environmental law awareness strengthens law enforcement, understands environmental rights and obligations, and encourages sustainable behavioral change. Thus, this comprehensive integration paves the way to a world in which the interests of nature are heard and protected, creating a more equitable and sustainable global ecosystem.

Abstract

In the modern era, gender roles in Muslim families have undergone a striking transformation, giving rise to exciting new dynamics in a society previously dominated by tradition. This study explores these changes using literature study methods through integrative and comprehensive literature analysis in collecting, evaluating, and integrating findings from previous studies that are relevant to the topic of study. The study's results stated that the change in gender roles in Muslim families today reflects social, cultural, and religious evolution. This brings balance and inclusiveness between men and women regarding family responsibilities and individual aspirations. Religious influences, especially in Islam, provide a framework that supports diverse interpretations of gender roles. Despite challenges and resistance, especially from groups that held traditional values, these changes increased family well-being, political participation, and economic growth. Greater gender equality in Muslim societies requires education, awareness, and mutual support. With commitment, these changes can lead Muslim communities towards inclusivity, gender justice, and benefits for all members.
