Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penerapan edu parenting dalam mengembangkan karakter anak di PAUD TK IT Pelita Hati Palu. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini mencakup: (1) bagaimana penerapan edu parenting terhadap perkembangan kepribadian anak; dan (2) apa saja kendala serta solusi dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi, serta diuji keabsahannya dengan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program edu parenting mencakup kegiatan seperti parenting day, sosialisasi program sekolah (tentang perkembangan anak usia dini, teknik pengasuhan positif, serta manajemen emosi orang tua), dan pertemuan rutin setiap tiga bulan. Program ini berkontribusi dalam membentuk karakter anak, khususnya dalam hal kedisiplinan dan nilai-nilai agama. Evaluasi program dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan pelaporan perkembangan anak kepada orang tua. Adapun kendala dalam penerapan meliputi kurangnya waktu orang tua, perbedaan pola asuh, serta keterbatasan pemahaman. Solusinya adalah peningkatan komunikasi antara sekolah dan orang tua, pelatihan pengasuhan, dan penguatan sinergi dalam pendidikan anak. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, perluasan wawasan orang tua, peningkatan prestasi anak, pengembangan kemampuan mendidik, serta penguatan hubungan antara orang tua dan anak.

Abstract

Mastery of number concepts is a crucial foundation for cognitive development in early childhood, but is often hindered by learning methods that are often abstract and monotonous. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Mathematical Intelligence Stick media in improving number symbol recognition skills in 5-6 year old children at Harapan Bunda Kindergarten. This study applied a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving 15 children selected through saturated sampling techniques. The findings showed a substantial improvement, with the average score of children's abilities increasing sharply from 12.73 in the pretest to 20.46 in the posttest. Effect size analysis using Cohen's d yielded a value of 2.64, indicating a powerful effect. This indicates that the integration of manipulative sticks successfully bridges children's understanding from the enactive to the symbolic level, while stimulating fine motor skills. This study concludes that the Mathematical Intelligence Stick is an effective pedagogical tool for fostering concrete, interactive, and meaningful mathematics learning in early childhood

Abstract

Abstract Early detection of toddler growth and development is a crucial step in identifying developmental abnormalities early so that intervention can be initiated as early as possible. However, many parents still do not understand the importance of routinely monitoring their toddler's development. This community service activity aims to improve parents' knowledge and skills in early detection of toddler development through educational activities and the distribution of brochures. Implementation methods included health education, interactive discussions, and pre- and post-activity knowledge evaluations. Results showed an increase in parents' knowledge regarding toddler growth and development and their ability to perform early detection of developmental delays. This activity is expected to prevent delays in toddler development by increasing parental involvement. Keywords: Community Service, Early Detection, Toddler Development, Health Education Abstrak Deteksi dini tumbuh kembang balita merupakan upaya penting untuk mengidentifikasi secara awal adanya penyimpangan perkembangan sehingga dapat dilakukan intervensi sedini mungkin. Namun, masih banyak orang tua yang belum memahami pentingnya pemantauan perkembangan balita secara rutin. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua dalam melakukan deteksi dini perkembangan balita melalui kegiatan edukasi dan pembagian brosur. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan kesehatan, diskusi interaktif, serta evaluasi pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan orang tua mengenai aspek tumbuh kembang balita dan kemampuan dalam melakukan deteksi dini perkembangan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mencegah keterlambatan tumbuh kembang balita melalui peningkatan peran aktif orang tua. Abstract

ABSTRACT Oral and dental health problems are still common among school-aged children. One contributing factor is their low awareness of the importance of maintaining dental hygiene. Educational methods that are engaging and tailored to children's characteristics are essential to improving their understanding of dental health. This community service activity aims to increase school-aged children's awareness of dental hygiene through interactive storytelling. The implementation method included delivering educational stories about dental health, interactive discussions, distributing educational brochures, and evaluating knowledge before and after the activity. The results of the activity showed an increase in children's knowledge and awareness of the importance of maintaining dental hygiene and the habit of brushing regularly. The interactive storytelling method has proven effective in increasing children's understanding because it captures their attention and increases participant participation. This activity is expected to foster dental hygiene habits from an early age. Keywords: Community Service, Children's Dental Health, Interactive Storytelling, Health Promotion ABSTRAK Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut masih sering ditemukan pada anak usia sekolah. Salah satu faktor yang memengaruhi kondisi tersebut adalah rendahnya kesadaran anak mengenai pentingnya menjaga kebersihan gigi. Metode edukasi yang menarik dan sesuai dengan karakteristik anak sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang kesehatan gigi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran anak usia sekolah mengenai kebersihan gigi melalui metode cerita interaktif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian cerita edukatif tentang kesehatan gigi, diskusi interaktif, pembagian brosur edukasi, serta evaluasi pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran anak mengenai pentingnya menjaga kebersihan gigi serta kebiasaan menyikat gigi secara teratur. Metode cerita interaktif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman anak karena mampu menarik perhatian dan meningkatkan partisipasi peserta. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membentuk kebiasaan menjaga kebersihan gigi sejak usia dini. Kata Kunci: Pengabdian Masyarakat, Kesehatan Gigi Anak, Cerita Interaktif, Promosi Kesehatan

Abstract

ABSTRACT Digestive tract infections are a common health problem in children, especially in environments with inadequate sanitation and suboptimal hygiene practices. These diseases can cause health problems such as diarrhea, dehydration, and decreased nutritional status in children. One way to prevent gastrointestinal infections is through health promotion activities aimed at improving children's knowledge and hygiene practices. This community service activity aimed to improve knowledge and practices on preventing gastrointestinal infections in children through a health promotion program. Implementation methods included health education, demonstrations of clean and healthy living behaviors, distribution of educational materials in the form of brochures, and pre- and post-activity knowledge evaluations. The results of the activity showed an increase in children's knowledge and behavior regarding personal hygiene, particularly handwashing before eating and after using the toilet. This health promotion program has proven effective in raising children's awareness of the importance of maintaining personal hygiene to prevent gastrointestinal infections. Keywords: Health Promotion, Digestive Tract Infections, Children, Hygiene Behavior ABSTRAK Infeksi saluran pencernaan merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang sering terjadi pada anak, terutama di lingkungan dengan sanitasi yang kurang memadai dan kebiasaan hidup bersih yang belum optimal. Penyakit ini dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan seperti diare, dehidrasi, serta penurunan status gizi pada anak. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi saluran pencernaan adalah melalui kegiatan promosi kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku hidup bersih pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilaku pencegahan infeksi saluran pencernaan pada anak melalui program promosi kesehatan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan kesehatan, demonstrasi perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, pembagian media edukasi berupa brosur, serta evaluasi pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku anak dalam menjaga kebersihan diri, terutama dalam kebiasaan mencuci tangan sebelum makan dan setelah menggunakan toilet. Program promosi kesehatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran anak mengenai pentingnya menjaga kebersihan diri untuk mencegah infeksi saluran pencernaan. Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teaching assistance programs in improving the learning motivation of twelfth-grade students in English Literature at SMAN 9 Toraja Utara. The program, part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, involves university students assisting teaching activities in schools to support literacy, numeracy, technology adaptation, and administrative tasks. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over four months. The findings reveal that the teaching assistance program significantly enhances students' interest and enthusiasm in learning. The use of creative methods, such as learning through games and providing rewards, has proven effective in fostering a positive classroom environment and improving academic engagement. Furthermore, the program allows university students to develop essential skills, including leadership, collaboration, and empathy, while contributing to the improvement of teaching quality in schools. This research highlights the importance of innovative educational strategies to support student motivation and academic achievement.
