Abstract

Capital is an important component in the establishment and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially in the culinary sector. This study analyzes the use of personal capital at Rumah Makan Ayam Geprek Surabaya as a form of MSME, with a focus on effectiveness in operational aspects and business development. Capital is divided into two types: initial capital (for equipment, renovation, and promotion) and operational capital (for raw materials, salaries, and utilities). Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study examines the competitive strategies and financial independence offered by the use of personal capital. The results show that self-funded MSMEs have higher flexibility, faster decision making, and lighter financial burdens, thus supporting sustainable business growth.

Abstract

Menghafal Al-Qur'an sejak usia dini bukan hanya sekadar kegiatan spiritual, tetapi juga berperan dalam membentuk karakter dan kepribadian anak secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak konkret dari hafalan Al-Qur'an terhadap kehidupan sehari-hari anak, khususnya dari sisi akhlak, kedisiplinan, dan pengaruhnya terhadap pembelajaran lainnya. Data diperoleh dari wawancara dengan beberapa anak laki-laki dan perempuan penghafal Al-Qur’an serta orang tua mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak yang menghafal Al-Qur'an menunjukkan peningkatan dalam sikap sopan, rajin, lebih menjaga kebersihan dan ketertiban, serta lebih mudah diarahkan oleh orang tua maupun guru. Selain itu, mereka juga lebih siap secara mental untuk menerima pelajaran, terutama pelajaran berbasis agama seperti Fikih dan Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hafalan Al-Qur’an sejak dini sangat penting dalam pembentukan karakter Islami dan mendukung perkembangan akademik anak secara umum.

Abstract

The continuity of MSMEs is supported by sound financial management. Financial records play a role in business management to assist owners in making financial decisions. Assistance activities for preparing financial statements are carried out to provide new insights into financial records. Assistance is carried out by directly visiting MSME owners and helping to prepare financial reports. The results of the mentoring activities found that MSME owners did not have adequate financial records. Assistance activities help prepare financial reports according to data availability and have not been prepared according to EMKM standards

Abstract

Effective animal waste management remains a persistent challenge in rural communities, often resulting in environmental degradation and economic inefficiencies. This community service program aims to empower local farmers and livestock keepers by promoting the conversion of animal waste (kohe) into organic fertilizer, thereby supporting sustainable and economically viable agricultural practices. Employing a Community-Based Research (CBR) approach, the program incorporated participatory training, technology transfer, and hands-on composting activities to build community capacity in organic fertilizer production. Data were collected through structured surveys, in-depth interviews, and laboratory analysis to assess improvements in knowledge, fertilizer quality, and economic outcomes. The results indicate a significant enhancement in participants’ understanding of waste management, with 75% demonstrating readiness to adopt the technology. Laboratory tests confirmed that the produced organic fertilizer met established quality standards, contributing to reduced reliance on chemical inputs, lower production costs, and improved soil fertility. Furthermore, the initiative stimulated local economic resilience by fostering new agribusiness opportunities. In conclusion, the CBR-driven model effectively integrates environmental sustainability with economic empowerment, offering a scalable and replicable strategy for community-led agricultural development.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam pemanfaatan buah nipah (Nypa fruticans) sebagai bahan baku bioetanol terletak pada rendahnya kadar gula alami yang dimilikinya, sehingga fermentasi alami sulit berlangsung optimal. Penelitian ini menawarkan solusi melalui fermentasi tradisional dengan penambahan ragi tape dan gula pasir untuk mendukung pembentukan etanol. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi buah nipah difermentasi secara sederhana dan menguji kandungan etanolnya melalui metode organoleptik dan destilasi. Proses fermentasi dilakukan selama tujuh hari dalam wadah tertutup tisu steril dan diamati setiap hari secara visual. Uji pembakaran menggunakan hasil destilasi dilakukan pada media tisu untuk mendeteksi senyawa mudah terbakar. Hasil menunjukkan adanya aroma khas alkohol dan nyala api bertahan selama ±20 detik pada tisu yang dibasahi cairan destilat. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa fermentasi menghasilkan etanol dengan estimasi kadar berkisar antara 1–3% volume per volume. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buah nipah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku bioetanol melalui metode sederhana, meskipun kadar yang dihasilkan masih tergolong rendah dan membutuhkan optimasi lanjutan.

Abstract

This study analyzes the representation of foreign workers in the United States agricultural industry using the critical discourse analysis (CDA) model by Teun A. Dijk. Using a case study from a CNN Business article titled "America's Farmers Are in Desperate Need of Workers. Foreigners are the answer" (2016), this study explores how mass media shapes public opinion on employment and immigration issues. The Dijk model, which includes the structural dimensions of the text (macrostructure, superstructure, microstructure), social cognition, and social context, is used to uncover the symbolic discourse and ideological construction of the media. The analysis revealed that CNN Business systematically framed the labor shortage problem as an urgent national crisis, positioning foreign workers as the "saviors" of agricultural productivity by using positive diction and problem-solving narratives. The study also compared it to CNN Indonesia's article on the potential abuse of social assistance in regional elections, highlighting how the media shapes social realities and directs public opinion according to their respective ideological contexts. This study concludes that the mass media play an active role in shaping and directing public opinion through linguistic strategies and hidden rhetoric embedded in news texts. Therefore, critical media literacy is essential for the public to understand biased narratives and potential hidden agendas in media coverage.

Abstract

Road infrastructure development is a crucial aspect in supporting the improvement of community welfare and mobility in rural areas. This study aims to describe and analyze the planning of road infrastructure development in Soni Village, Dampal Selatan Subdistrict, Toli-Toli Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study included the village head, head of the Village Consultative Body, educational figures, religious leaders, women's representatives, and local residents. The results show that the planning process has gone through the formulation stage in a participatory manner through hamlet-level deliberations; however, the plan determination stage still faces challenges due to limited community involvement in official planning forums. Implementation control was carried out by the village implementation and supervision teams, although land acquisition issues remain unresolved. Meanwhile, the evaluation stage has not been conducted in a structured manner and lacks instruments to measure the impact or community satisfaction. The conclusion of this study indicates that the planning stages have generally followed participatory development principles, but improvements are needed in implementation and evaluation aspects to ensure that road development in Soni Village proceeds more effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

Pengaruh Inventory Intensity, Intensitas Aset Tetap dan Return On Equity (ROE) Terhadap Tax avoindace pada Perusahaan Manufaktur Sub Sektor Industri Makanan dan Minuman yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) Tahun 2021-2023, Pembimbing I Indra Saputra dan Pembimbing II Rara Gustiana. Objek penelitian adalah Perusahaan Manufaktur Sub Sektor Industri Makanan dan Minuman yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) Tahun 2021-2023. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling menghasilkan 26 perusahaan dengan total 78 data penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat uji statistik software SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa Inventory Intensity dan Intensitas Aset Tetap tidak berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance dengan signifikansi masing-masing 0,158 dan 0,662. Sementara Return On Equity (ROE) berpengaruh negatif terhadap tax avoidance dengan signifikansi 0,000. Secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance dengan signifikansi 0,000 serta mempunyai kontribusi sebesar 38,3% terhadap tax avoidance, sedangkan sisanya 61,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Inventory Intensity dan Intensitas Aset Tetap tidak berpengaruh terhadap tax avoidance. Adapun Return On Equity (ROE) secara parsial berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap tax avoidance. Secara simultan memiliki pengaruh terhadap tax avoidance. Saran dari hasil penelitian bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat menambahkan variabel independen lain seperti sales growth dan economic value added yang dapat mempengaruhi tax avoidance dan memperluas jumlah sampel.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and describe the categorization of village names and ecological wisdom in the toponymy of villages in Sei Kepayang Barat Kabupaten Asahan. This study uses the theory of toponymic aspects by Sudaryat and the theory of ecological wisdom. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, listening and note-taking, and recording. The findings of this research are as follows: 1) The village names in Sei Kepayang Barat Kabupaten Asahan can be categorized based on the aspects of manifestation and culture; 2) Based on the aspect of manifestation, these village names can be divided into two categories, namely water-based (hydrological) and natural environment backgrounds, especially plants. Villages with names originating from a water-based background include Sei Lendir Village. Meanwhile, villages whose names originate from both water-based and natural environment backgrounds include Sei Jawi-Jawi, Sei Kepayang Kiri, Sei Nangka, Sei Serindan, and Sei Tualang Pandau Villages; 3) Based on the cultural aspect, the village names in Sei Kepayang Barat can be divided into two categories, namely based on the language used and myths or legends. Based on the language used, these village names originate from the Malay and Indonesian languages. Meanwhile, village names linked to myths or legends include Sei Lendir and Sei Serindan Villages; and 4) The embodiment of ecological wisdom in the toponymy of villages in Sei Kepayang Barat is the application of the principle of respect for nature. Abstract

The development of the sharia financial sector is currently in a good position, especially for Indonesia's population, which is predominantly Muslim, of course this is a good condition for the development of sharia finance to be even more advanced. However, in the development of sharia finance, there are not only opportunities for progress, but there are also challenges that accompany it. This research method uses literature review sourced from Google Scholar, Research Gap and websites. Challenges in sharia stock investment include in-depth analysis required and lack of awareness and monitoring and compliance issues. Opportunities in Sharia Stock Investment, including Sharia-Based Economic Growth, Stock Endowments and Diversification and periodic evaluations ensure that shares continue to comply with sharia principles. Developments in Sharia Shares, including a Solid Rising Trend, Increased Liquidity and Share Value, and Driving Innovation and Diversification.
