Abstract

Citizenship education in the era of globalization plays a very important role in forming national character. Lack of understanding regarding Citizenship Education causes the erosion of national character in the souls of people, especially the younger generation (students and university students). Indonesia's character crisis threatens the value of dignified national character. To resolve the problem of the declining character of the Indonesian nation, especially in the current era of globalization, treatment is needed. This research aims to provide an overview of how important Citizenship Education is in life as a shaper of national character in the era of globalization. Character education also functions to foster potential, habits and behavior, instill a sense of responsibility and leadership, and create abilities and a school environment. Civic education has functions including building participatory skills that make Indonesian citizens active, critical, intelligent and democratic, as well as building a civilized democratic culture. The results of the research show that Citizenship Education as the formation of national character in the era of globalization plays an important role, because as a result of globalization it results in the fading of national character.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakt ini adalah untuk mempelajari bagaimana nilai-nilai karakter bangsa Indonesia dapat diintegrasikan untuk membentuk Generasi Emas Indonesia pada siswa SMAN 6 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Dianggap sebagai landasan penting untuk pembentukan karakter siswa, Generasi Emas 2045 akan terdiri dari prinsip-prinsip seperti Pancasila, gotong royong, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan cinta tanah air. Penyuluhan dengan kegiatan observasi, wawancara, dan sosialisasi digunakan. Diharapkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah menerapkan berbagai program dan aktivitas untuk mendukung nilai-nilai karakter dalam kurikulum formal dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Namun, siswa masih menghadapi kesulitan untuk menerapkan dan internalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut dengan konsisten. Akibatnya, penelitian ini menyarankan peningkatan pelatihan guru, pelibatan orang tua, dan pengembangan.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of Pencak Silat MS Jalan Enam Pengasinan in the formation of children's character education through the application of values such as discipline, responsibility and courage. The school, founded by H. Mai'in Bin H.Ki`in, uses specific traditions and rituals as part of its members' education process. A qualitative approach was applied in this study, with data collection through in-depth interviews and observations of trainers and members. The results show that Pencak Silat MS Jalan Enam Pengasinan functions not only as a martial art, but also as an effective tool in shaping positive character, especially in social and cultural aspects. Thus, pencak silat makes a significant contribution in educating young people who have a strong personality and are able to play a constructive role in their social environment.

Abstract

Adanya modernisasi di perkembangan zaman ini telah merubah tatanan bahasa yang digunakan oleh masyarakat, khususnya pada anak muda. Pelestarian bahasa daerah (Bahasa Jawa) ke anak muda mengalami penurunan yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu pergaulan dalam berteman, tidak ada keseimbangan dalam memakai bahasa daerah dan bahasa nasional baik di lingkungan rumah maupun lingkungan sekolah. Hal ini dapat menjadi adanya pergeseran penggunaan bahasa Jawa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan bahasa Jawa metode IMMANN terhadap pendidikan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan populasi seluruh siswa SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. Teknik pengambilan sampel peneliti menggunakan teknik simple random sampling atau acak sederhana. Penggunaan sampel sebanyak 247 siswa dari banyaknya populasi sebesar 853 siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta pada bulan Maret sampai April 2023. Dalam pengolahan data peneliti menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 23. Analisis statistik menghasilkan persamaan regresi Y= 4,449 + 1,002X, artinya jika nilai penggunaan bahasa Jawa metode IMMANN (X) meningkat 1 satuan maka nilai Pendidikan karakter (Y) akan meningkat sebesar 1,002 satuan dengan nilai konstanta 4,449. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen terbukti secara signifikan mempengaruhi variabel dependen. Koefisiensi determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,550 artinya variabel bebas mempengaruhi variabel terikat sebesar 55% dan sisanya sebesar 45% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Pancasila Education in the Merdeka Curriculum at SMK Negeri 8 Kota Tangerang Selatan. Using a qualitative approach and in-depth interviews, the research reveals that project-based learning methods enhance students` independence and active participation in the learning processs. Projects such as creating videos on nationalism enable students to apply Pancasila values in real-world contexts. However, limited resource support from the education authorities poses significant challenges. Pancasila Education teacher, Ms. Nadya Kartika Putri, emphasized the importance of project-based evaluation to comprehensively assess students` understanding. This study highlights the need for collaboration between schools and policymakers to improve learning effectiveness. In conclusion, the Merdeka Curriculum positively impacts students` understanding of Pancasila values, through better support is necessary for optimal implementation.

Abstract

Education is of course increasingly developing and advancing according to existing developments, of course with changes to the existing curriculum. The profile of Pancasila students as part of the independent curriculum has the goal of maintaining noble values and national morals as well as readiness to become a global society and realizing social justice in accordance with 21st century competencies. due to obstacles that result in information being described by educators, due to limited time to inform educators, limited teaching time, little subject matter, educators who have limited knowledge of technology, and lack of student attention in learning towards subjects. Besides that, the application of character building and resilience of students/individuals is lacking. This service aims to see how the profile of Pancasila students, especially the character with global diversity, whether it has an impact on students as character formation in schools, the purpose of service. In this temple, counseling was given from resource persons with the theme of forming a global diverse spirit. Which was held at Al-Ihsan Islamic Middle School, Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta. The result of this dedication is that the application in the formation of student character is still not optimal, so that if the profile of Pancasila students is optimized in its implementation at school, the character of Pancasila students will be formed, namely forming a global diverse spirit.

Abstract

This activity aims to build character and moral education for students with integrity, to increase the social awareness of students of the Teaching and Education Faculty towards students, to provide an understanding of lessons to students at Al-Ihsan Islamic Middle School. This community service method is carried out in the form of counseling by providing education on the importance of the impact of juvenile delinquency on the dangers of drugs and brawls. The media is accompanied by questions and answers and discussion of problems that often occur in the field. The results of community service obtained in this activity are an increase in understanding of the impact of juvenile delinquency on the dangers of drugs and brawls at a young age. They come to understand that what actions can and cannot be done. Therefore, hopefully this service activity can provide benefits for students and it is hoped that it can be carried out in a sustainable manner, especially to have an impact on juvenile delinquency, the dangers of drugs and brawls.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country rich in religious diversity, faces a major challenge due to rising religious intolerance in the education sector. This study explores the issue of religious intolerance in the educational environment and assesses the important role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in building character, with reference to scientific journals and relevant reports. The research findings indicate that religious intolerance in schools is caused by a lack of understanding of Pancasila values, excessive influence of social media, limited interfaith dialogue, and teachers' limited ability to manage diversity. PPKn plays a crucial role in fostering tolerant attitudes through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. However, traditional teaching methods, which emphasise effective learning models, need to integrate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor elements. Implementation requires the development of an inclusive curriculum, enhancing teachers' capabilities, creating a supportive school environment, and collaborating with various relevant parties

Abstract

The rapid development of the era of globalization has a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the morality of the younger generation. The phenomenon of moral crisis marked by increasing deviant behavior, such as misuse of technology, promiscuity, and decreasing respect for social norms and cultural values, is a serious problem that must be addressed immediately. Amid the increasing deviant behavior and moral crisis that hit the younger generation, instilling positive characters such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and discipline is becoming increasingly relevant. This study aims to provide information on the importance of character education in preventing moral crises among the younger generation. Character education is one of the strategic solutions and forms the personality of the younger generation to have strong moral values. The results of the study show that character education is one of the main keys in preventing moral crises and forming a generation with integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the leadership role of school principals in fostering a culture of discipline in the school environment. Using a qualitative approach and literature study method, this research examines various relevant literature, journals, and regulations to illustrate effective leadership strategies. The results indicate that principals have a central role in shaping a culture of discipline through exemplary leadership, clear policy planning, involvement of all school members, and continuous evaluation. Transformational and democratic leadership styles are considered the most effective in building discipline awareness that grows from within the school community. Strategies such as teacher empowerment, student involvement, and cooperation with parents also strengthen the implementation of disciplinary values. And the study results describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies of school principals in fostering a culture of discipline. The findings confirm that strong and consistent principal leadership is key in creating an orderly, positive, and characterful educational environment.
