Abstract

This activity aims to build character and moral education for students with integrity, to increase the social awareness of students of the Teaching and Education Faculty towards students, to provide an understanding of lessons to students at Al-Ihsan Islamic Middle School. This community service method is carried out in the form of counseling by providing education on the importance of the impact of juvenile delinquency on the dangers of drugs and brawls. The media is accompanied by questions and answers and discussion of problems that often occur in the field. The results of community service obtained in this activity are an increase in understanding of the impact of juvenile delinquency on the dangers of drugs and brawls at a young age. They come to understand that what actions can and cannot be done. Therefore, hopefully this service activity can provide benefits for students and it is hoped that it can be carried out in a sustainable manner, especially to have an impact on juvenile delinquency, the dangers of drugs and brawls.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country rich in religious diversity, faces a major challenge due to rising religious intolerance in the education sector. This study explores the issue of religious intolerance in the educational environment and assesses the important role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in building character, with reference to scientific journals and relevant reports. The research findings indicate that religious intolerance in schools is caused by a lack of understanding of Pancasila values, excessive influence of social media, limited interfaith dialogue, and teachers' limited ability to manage diversity. PPKn plays a crucial role in fostering tolerant attitudes through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. However, traditional teaching methods, which emphasise effective learning models, need to integrate cognitive, affective, and psychomotor elements. Implementation requires the development of an inclusive curriculum, enhancing teachers' capabilities, creating a supportive school environment, and collaborating with various relevant parties

Abstract

The rapid development of the era of globalization has a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the morality of the younger generation. The phenomenon of moral crisis marked by increasing deviant behavior, such as misuse of technology, promiscuity, and decreasing respect for social norms and cultural values, is a serious problem that must be addressed immediately. Amid the increasing deviant behavior and moral crisis that hit the younger generation, instilling positive characters such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and discipline is becoming increasingly relevant. This study aims to provide information on the importance of character education in preventing moral crises among the younger generation. Character education is one of the strategic solutions and forms the personality of the younger generation to have strong moral values. The results of the study show that character education is one of the main keys in preventing moral crises and forming a generation with integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the leadership role of school principals in fostering a culture of discipline in the school environment. Using a qualitative approach and literature study method, this research examines various relevant literature, journals, and regulations to illustrate effective leadership strategies. The results indicate that principals have a central role in shaping a culture of discipline through exemplary leadership, clear policy planning, involvement of all school members, and continuous evaluation. Transformational and democratic leadership styles are considered the most effective in building discipline awareness that grows from within the school community. Strategies such as teacher empowerment, student involvement, and cooperation with parents also strengthen the implementation of disciplinary values. And the study results describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation strategies of school principals in fostering a culture of discipline. The findings confirm that strong and consistent principal leadership is key in creating an orderly, positive, and characterful educational environment.

Abstract

Indonesia's national education system is currently undergoing a complex transition amid the demands of globalization, technological advancements, and public expectations for a more relevant and inclusive system. This study aims to analyze adaptive and inclusive strategies in building a sustainable national education system. The method used is a qualitative literature study with a thematic analysis approach to policy documents, scientific articles, and relevant institutional reports. The findings indicate that although policies such as *Merdeka Belajar* have been initiated to improve the quality and equity of education, their implementation still faces several challenges, including disparities in teacher quality, limited infrastructure, and digital gaps between regions. Furthermore, 21st-century competency-based education has not yet been fully integrated into the existing learning system. This research emphasizes the importance of a holistic, flexible, and data-driven approach to educational reform in order to address the multidimensional challenges currently faced. The implications of these findings highlight the need to strengthen collaboration between the government, society, and other stakeholders in designing educational strategies that are responsive to changing dynamics and oriented toward long-term equity and sustainability.

Abstract

University students are a vulnerable group when facing emergencies and engaging in delinquent behaviors, often due to a lack of skills in managing environmental pressures. This issue is the main focus of a Community Service Program (PkM) implemented at Pamulang University. The objective of this program is to enhance students' preparedness for emergency situations and prevent their involvement in delinquent behaviors. The target of this program was 50 students from Pamulang University. The program activities included interactive lectures, case studies, practical training for handling emergencies (such as fires, accidents, and criminal acts), and educational sessions on the causes, impacts, and prevention of juvenile delinquency. The results indicated an 80% improvement in students’ knowledge of emergency handling strategies, a 75% increase in practical skills, and a 65% reduction in the potential involvement in delinquency, based on pre- and post-test evaluations. In conclusion, this PkM program effectively enhances students’ preparedness for emergency situations and provides a better understanding of juvenile delinquency prevention efforts. The program is expected to serve as a model for character development in higher education, fostering students who are prepared, responsive, and socially responsible.

Abstract

The global automotive industry demands a workforce that possesses not only technical skills but also the ability to communicate professionally in English. Unfortunately, many high school graduates still struggle to understand technical terms, express ideas professionally, and write work-related reports in English. This community service program aimed to improve the job readiness of students at SMA Chandra Buana through English language training based on the context of the automotive industry. The activity was carried out on January 31, 2025, involving 16 students from grades X and XI IPS. The training covered technical vocabulary introduction, vehicle manual reading, workplace communication simulations, technical report writing, and oral presentations. Evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests showed an improvement in technical English comprehension. In addition, students’ confidence in using English also increased significantly. This program makes a tangible contribution to preparing students for the global job market and emphasizes the importance of English learning based on industrial context at the secondary education level.

Abstract

Kekerasan seksual masih menjadi persoalan serius di lingkungan pendidikan, namun pelaporan oleh korban atau saksi sering terkendala oleh rasa takut, stigma sosial, dan minimnya pemahaman tentang hak dan mekanisme pelaporan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membangun keberanian pelajar dalam melaporkan kekerasan seksual sebagai bagian dari strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pencegahan kekerasan. Program dilaksanakan melalui seminar edukatif dan diskusi interaktif di SMK YAPPA Depok pada 15 Februari 2025, dengan metode penyuluhan, studi kasus, dan evaluasi kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 97,4% peserta merasa lebih memahami hak-hak individu serta lebih siap menjadi pelapor dan agen perubahan dalam isu kekerasan seksual. Peserta juga menilai bahwa pendekatan yang digunakan efektif dalam meningkatkan keberanian dan kesadaran akan pentingnya pelaporan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil membangun kesadaran kritis siswa dan perlu direplikasi dengan dukungan kelembagaan yang lebih sistematis agar dampaknya berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Philanthropic behavior among students is a salient indicator of civic awareness. This study analyzes how driving factors and inhibiting factors shape students' participation in campus-based social activities. Using a quantitative survey of 200 students from three Indonesian universities, we administered a 20-item Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed the data using validity and reliability tests, Pearson correlations, and multiple linear regression (? = .05). All items demonstrated validity and reliability. Regression results indicate that driving factors have a positive and significant impact on philanthropic participation (? = 0.585, p .001), whereas inhibiting factors, such as time constraints and academic workload, do not significantly predict participation (? = –0.051, p = .404). The model explains 39% of the variance in participation (R² = 0.390), indicating that prosocial values, empathy, peer support, and campus community participation are more significant predictors than contextual constraints. These findings reinforce the Theory of Planned Behavior and the literature on prosocial development, underscoring the importance of intention and social norms in shaping behavior. We discuss implications for program design, including integrating community service into formal recognition systems, strengthening student-led initiatives, and ensuring sustained organizational regeneration to cultivate durable civic participation on campus.

Abstract

Penelitian Upaya melestarikan tradisi Huda-huda Toping-toping ini dilatarbelakangi dengan melihat perkembangan zaman yang semakin modern, tradisi Huda-huda Toping-toping ini mulai tergeser dan terancam punah, tidak sedikit dari masyarakat suku batak Simalungun yang tidak tahu akan tradisi ini, khususnya mereka yang lahir diluar wilayah Simalungun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Budaya Huda-huda Toping-toping dalam kehidupan suku batak Simalungun merupakan warisan tradisi leluhur Kerajaan Simalungun yang memiliki makna historis dan kultural yang mendalam, seiring berjalannya waktu mengalami transformasi menjadi bagian penting dalam upacara adat kematian (terutama dalam konteks Sayur matua). Kendala dalam Upaya melestarikan Huda-huda Toping-toping tradisi ini, antara lain rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat, minimnya informasi yang tersedia, pengaruh globalisasi yang menyebabkan pergeseran minat terhadap budaya asing, serta kurangnya dukungan konkret dari pemerintah. Sehingga dalam Upaya melestarikan Huda-huda Toping-toping diperlukan upaya yang bersifat kolaboratif dan berkesinambungan. Dengan sinergi antara masyarakat, pemuka adat dan pemerintah, diharapkan tradisi Huda-huda Toping-toping dapat terus lestari dan menjadi identitas budaya yang membanggakan bagi masyarakat Simalungun di tengah arus modernisasi.
