Abstract

In leasing practice, transfer of fiduciary collateral objects to third parties occurs through informal agreements where payment obligations may shift between parties. This normative juridical research employs qualitative library study methodology to produce descriptive-analytical findings. The study examines three critical aspects: first, the legal position of transferring fiduciary security rights without lessor consent, which violates the Fiduciary Security Law requiring written authorization; second, legal protection mechanisms for lessors through civil and criminal liability provisions; and third, lessee accountability under Decision Number 25/Pid.B/2024/PN Ketapang, where the court correctly determined the defendant fulfilled criminal elements under Article 36 of the Fiduciary Security Law for transferring secured objects without prior written fiduciary receiver consent.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the preservation strategies and the designation process of the Niat Lima Laras Palace as a cultural heritage object at the regency level in Batu Bara Regency, North Sumatra. The palace is a historical legacy of the Kedatukan Lima Laras, built by Datuk Muhammad Yuda Sri Diraja in the early 20th century. It holds significant value as a center of Malay traditional governance and as a symbol of resistance against colonialism. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and literature study, analyzed using R.M. Sedyawati’s (2007) theory of cultural preservation, which emphasizes physical, social, and functional preservation. The findings reveal that the Niat Lima Laras Palace meets three key dimensions of cultural preservation: (1) historical value, due to its connection with significant local historical events; (2) socio-cultural value, as it is still used in traditional community rituals; and (3) architectural value, as it reflects a fusion of Malay, Chinese, and European architectural styles. The designation process was carried out through the inventory of Potential Cultural Heritage Objects (ODCB), field verification by the Cultural Heritage Expert Team (TACB), and formal recognition via the Batu Bara Regent's Decree No. 406/DISPORABUDPAR/2024. This study concludes that value-based preservation strategies, community participation, and inter-institutional collaboration are key to the successful safeguarding of local cultural heritage. It recommends strengthening cultural revitalization programs, promoting local historical education, and applying adaptive preservation to ensure the sustainability of this cultural site.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of wall drill training on increasing the speed of dollyo chagi kicks in Taekwondo athletes at Dojang Tiger Sumatera Binjai. The study was conducted in Binjai City, North Sumatra Province, from April 7 to May 7, 2025. The sample consisted of 10 athletes aged 15-17 years, consisting of 4 male athletes and 6 female athletes. Based on the results of the initial measurements (pre-test), all participants showed kick speeds that were in the category of less to very less, with an average value of 11.50. After being given treatment in the form of wall drill training for five weeks with a frequency of four times per week, a re-measurement (post-test) was carried out, and an average increase of 19.60 was obtained. To test the hypothesis, a paired sample t-test technique was used using SPSS version 26 software. The test results showed that the t-value was -11.732 with degrees of freedom (df) = 9 and a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) = 0.000. This value compares with the t-table value of 2.262 (at a 5% significance level). Since t-test > t-table and p < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. This means that wall drills significantly increased the speed of the dollyo chagi kick. This finding supports the effectiveness of wall drills as a functional training method that positively impacts kicking performance in Taekwondo athletes. Therefore, this training can be recommended as an efficient alternative training strategy for improving the speed aspect of the dollyo chagi technique.

Abstract

Global supply chains face challenges like demand fluctuations, supply uncertainties, and changing regulations, making stakeholder collaboration vital for performance and sustainability. This study examines how collaboration among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, customers, NGOs, and regulators enhances supply chain efficiency and resilience. Through a qualitative review of literature from 2020–2025, sourced from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, the analysis highlights that collaboration reduces lead times, optimizes logistics, lowers costs, and integrates environmental and social objectives. Key success factors include trust, clear communication, aligned objectives, technology adoption, long-term commitment, and skilled human resources. However, barriers such as conflicting interests, technological disparities, trust deficits, global complexities, and high initial costs pose challenges. Case studies like Unilever’s “Partner to Win” and Walmart’s Project Gigaton show significant reductions in CO₂ emissions, cost savings, and environmental impact through effective stakeholder coordination. The findings emphasize that integrated digital platforms, strong governance, and multicultural management skills are critical for advancing sustainable collaboration in global supply chains.

Abstract

The death of the Chairperson of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees creates legal issues regarding the filling of vacant positions when the remaining Trustee does not attend meetings without formally resigning. This normative juridical research analyzes the authority of a sole Trustee, the validity of meetings conducted without a quorum, and Supreme Court Decision Number 3295 K/Pdt/2024. The study finds that a sole Trustee is authorized to appoint the Management Board and the Supervisory Board but is not authorized to appoint new Trustees. Meetings held without a quorum are considered invalid as long as other Trustees remain active, and the Supreme Court annulled the changes to the foundation’s organizational structure by applying a formalistic approach.
