Abstract

The learning process in the classroom is still dominated by conventional teaching, teachers was seldom to invite and provide opportunities for students to interact, collaborating or cooperating with their classmates. This problem like this can give an impression to students that math lessons are boring and scary. The purpose of this research is to get information about the effect of student learning outcomes who teach by using problem solving methods with the motivation of students who teach by using conventional methods in learning mathematics in class V SDN 29 Saok Laweh Kabupaten Solok. The design of the research is quasy experiment. The population is all fifth grade students that consist of 2 classes with 48 people. Sampling was gathered by random sampling technique. The research data was collected using the initial ability test and final ability test. The results of the research that found the learning outcomes of students who teach by using problem solving methods had better that students’ learning motivation learning outcomes who teach by using conventional methods with a tcount is 1.984 greater than ttable that found 4.72 with a real level of α = 0.05. Calculation results in the table using the Ftest can found Fcount are 4.258. Furthermore, Ftable is found 4.11. It can be concluded that there are differences in students’ learning outcomes who teach by using problem solving methods with students’ learning outcomes who teach by using conventional methods. It means that there are differences in motivation of students teach using problem solving methods with motivation of students who teach by using conventional methods in learning mathematics in Class V SD Negeri 29 Saok Laweh Kecamatan Kubung.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of an approach-based student worksheet (LKS) (CTL) that is valid, practical, and effective on the topic of statistics in grade IV of elementary school. The research method used is a type of 4D research design by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). This research was conducted in four phases, namely defining, designing worksheets, developing, and disseminating in elementary schools. Data was collected using document analysis, observation, interviews, field notes, tests, and questionnaires. The data collected is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Based on the research that has been done, LKS has fulfilled the valid criteria in terms of content, approach, format, and language. The level of validity of the developed LKS is in a very valid category. The results of observations, questionnaires, and interviews showed that LKS was practical in terms of ease of use, use of time, and readability by teachers and students. In addition, LKS developed effectively improves students' problem solving abilities. Students can find statistical concepts with various activities on LKS, namely finding data, analyzing data, collaborating, trying, and solving problems related to everyday life. Abstract

This research aims to discuss the application of humanistic philosophy in differential learning to the Merdeka Curriculum in Elementary School (ES). The method used in this study is a library study or literature review. Data collection techniques are done by searching for articles, books, slides, and other information on the internet. Based on the results of research, it is known that humanistic philosophy emphasizes the appreciation of individual uniqueness, student empowerment, collaboration and communication, meaningful learning experiences, and lifelong learning. Differentiated learning recognizes the individual differences of students in abilities, interests, and learning styles. In the Merdeka Curriculum, a differentiated learning approach based on humanistic philosophy creates an inclusive environment in ES. Teachers understand the uniqueness of each student and design learning strategies that suit their needs. Students are empowered to take an active role in their learning, choose learning goals, and be responsible for their learning progress.

Abstract

Improving teacher competence plays a crucial role in achieving optimal goals in basic education. This article aims to discuss the importance of enhancing teacher competence in supporting the achievement of basic education goals. The study adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews with six teachers and a literature review consisting of articles. The research procedure involves data collection through in-depth interviews with teachers and literature analysis to identify factors influencing teacher competence. The findings indicate that a deep understanding of the subject matter, the use of innovative teaching methods, effective classroom management skills, and professional development for teachers are essential factors in improving teacher competence. Furthermore, suggested strategies and initiatives include professional development programs, collaboration among teachers, effective supervision and mentoring, optimizing the use of supportive resources, and developing comprehensive assessment systems. It is emphasized that serious attention from the government and educational institutions is crucial in enhancing teacher competence to improve the quality of basic education and provide a better future for the next generation.

Abstract

The restitution triangle is a strategy that can be applied as a process of creating conditions that guide students to correct their mistakes. In the process of the restitution triangle activity the teacher does not forget to ask about class beliefs. Class beliefs are an agreement made at the beginning of learning between teachers and students. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the triangle of restitution in instilling positive behavior in students. The method used in this research is a literature study with a qualitative approach, the research subjects are students and teachers. We can see that with this restitution triangle students are able to solve the problems they face by finding solutions or solutions on their own.

Abstract

Teachers play a crucial role in achieving the goals of basic education. This article aims to conduct an in-depth literature review on the contribution of teachers in realizing the objectives of basic education by identifying the best practices employed by teachers and analyzing the challenges they face in reaching these goals. The article is a descriptive-analytical research study that collects data through searching and analyzing various relevant articles, journals, and scholarly literature. The data is gathered by searching literature through academic databases and digital libraries. Relevant articles are selected based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subsequently, the data is systematically analyzed, and significant findings are identified. The research findings indicate that teachers have significant contributions in achieving the goals of basic education. Teachers utilize innovative teaching methods, consider individual student differences, provide constructive feedback, collaborate with students and parents, and build positive relationships with students. However, there are challenges, including limited resources, student individual differences, and time constraints and high workload.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative approach and a literature study. This research aims to analyze the influence of gadget use on elementary school students' social interaction abilities. Researchers collect data from this research by collecting and reviewing consistent data from previous researchers. The results of this research are the influence of gadget use on elementary school students' social interaction abilities. Online learning has an impact on student development starting from enthusiasm for learning, values, and even student personality. Gadgets can also efficiently influence children's social interactions in their immediate area. Not only that, he will also feel unfamiliar with the surrounding area due to the lack of social interaction, not only that, the child will also be less sensitive and even tend not to care about his environment.

Abstract

The development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at this time has many impacts on people's lives, especially for Elementary School (ES) students, both positive and negative impacts. This study aims to determine the impact of ICT on the moral development of ES students. The method used in this research is qualitative with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The research subjects were 6th-grade ES students. Analysis of the research data was carried out using a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that most of the users of ICT without parental and teacher control have a great impact on student development. The negative impacts are that students are lazy to learn, ignorant, lack discipline, impolite behavior appears, and changes in social interaction, and dependence on Android. The teacher's efforts to overcome this are through digital literacy education, monitoring and limiting the use of technology, selecting quality content, discussion and reflection, collaboration with parents, and being a model of good behavior. With holistic education, ES students can gain understanding and strong moral skills that will help them become responsible, ethical, and contributing individuals in society.
