Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi efek dari strategi menulis terkontrol dan motivasi berprestasi pada kompetensi menulis siswa. Empat dari sebelas kelas dipilih melalui teknik sampel kluster acak, dan 36 siswa di tiap grup dipilih sebagai sampel. Dalam menginvestigasi hasil, data dianalisa secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan two-way ANOVA. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat: (1) perbedaan signifikan pada kompetensi menulis siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan strategi menulis terkontrol dan yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan strategi konvensional, (2) efek interaksi yang signifikan antara strategi-strategi yang diterapkan dan motivasi berprestasi pada kompetensi menulis siswa, (3) perbedaan signifikan pada kompetensi menulis siswa dengan motivasi berprestasi tinggi yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan strategi menulis terkontrol dan yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan strategi konvensional, (4) perbedaan signifikan pada motivasi menulis siswa dengan motivasi berprestasi rendah yang diajarkan dengan strategi menulis terkontrol dan yang diajarkan dengan strategi konvensional.Kata Kunci : strategi menulis terkontrol, motivasi berprestasi, menulis, strategi konvensional The present study aimed at investigating the effect of controlled writing strategy and achievement motivation on students’ writing competency. Four classes out of eleven classes as population were chosen by means of cluster random sampling, and 36 students in each group selected as the sample of the study. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan, mengembangkan dan menilai kualitas dari materi kursus Bahasa Inggris untuk Paramedis (Perawat dan Bidan). Desain dari penelitian ini adalah R&D dimana tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan, mengembangkan dan menilai kualitas dari materi kursus Bahasa Inggris. Desain dan pengembangan ini dielaborasi berdasarkan model Sugiyono. Subjek penelitian ini adalah paramedis. Adapun objek dari penelitian ini adalah materi kursus Bahasa Inggris. Prosedur dari pengembangan produk dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) otensi dan permasalahan, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) design produk, (4) validasi design, (5) revisi design, (6) penilaian produk, (7) revisi produk dan (8) produk prototype. Sebagai hasil temuan pada studi ini, terdapat 11 unit pada produk, yaitu: Terdapat 11 topik dalam produk yang dikembangkan, yaitu: (1) Menjalin Hubungan, (2) Nomor, (3) Menayakan dan menunjukan ruangan di rumah sakit, (4) Bagian tubuh manusia dan masalah kesehatan, (5) Gejala, (6) Diagnosis masalah kesehatan dan membagi observasi, (7) Penilaian umum dan penilaian oleh pasien, (8) Memeriksa tanda vital dan Instruksi pemberhentian, (9) Pemberian Obat, (10) Perawatan Bayi and (11) Alat-alat Medis. Data dari materi yang dikembangkan diambil dari interview awal, analisis dokumen, kuesioner analisa kebutuhan dan hasil dari penilaian ahli. Penelitian ini ditutup dengan penilaian kualitas dari materi yang dikembangkan dianggap sangat tinggi. Terlebih lagi, disarankan bahwa beberapa illustrasi harus diperbaiki sehingga materi yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan oleh paramedis.Kata Kunci : Materi Kursus Bahasa Inggris dan Paramedis This study aimed at finding out, developing and investigating the quality of English course materials which will be used for Paramedics (Nurses and Midwives). Since the aim of the study was finding out, developing and investigating the quality of English course materials, the design of this study was Research and Development Design (R&D) elaborated from Sugiyono model. The subjects of the study were paramedics. Meanwhile, the object of the study was the design of English course materials. The procedures of developing product were (1) Potential and Problem, (2) Data Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Design Validation, (5) Design Revision, (6) Product Testing, (7) Product Revision and (8) Product Prototype. The findings of this study, there are 11 units in the product, which include: (1) Establish a Relationship, (2) Numbers, (3) Ask and Show Room in Hospital, (4) Parts of the Body and Health Problem, (5) Symptoms, (6) Diagnose Health Problems and Share Observation, (7) General Assessment and Patient Assessment, (8) Check Vital Sign and Discharge Instruction, (9) Medication Administration, (10) Baby Nursery and (11) Medical Instruments. The data of developed materials were gathered from prior interview, document analysis, need analysis questionnaire and expert judgment scoring rubrics’ result. This study conclude that the quality of developed materials could be categorized as a very high. Moreover, it suggested that some illustrations should be modified so that the developed materials more suitable for being used by paramedics.keyword : English Course Material and Paramedics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (a) mengembangkan materi bahasa inggris kantor depan untuk pengajaran mata kuliah bahasa inggris kantor depan mahasiswa akomodasi perhotelan PPLP Dhyana Pura; (b) mengetahui kualitas materi bahasa inggris kantor depan untuk pengajaran mata kuliah bahasa inggris kantor depan mahasiswa akomodasi perhotelan PPLP Dhyana Pura dari penilaian para ahli. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk Penelitian dan Pengembangan model Sugiyono (2013). Tahap pertama Penelititan dan Pengembangan model Sugiyono (tahap mengindentifikasi potensi dan masalah atau analisis kebutuhan) menggunakan model analisis kebutuhan Learning Centered Hutchinson dan Waters (1987) untuk digunakan untuk menganalisa kebutuhan target dan belajar mata kuliah bahasa inggris kantor depan. Penelitian ini hanya terbatas dalam pengembangan produk dan uji pakar. Sehingga penelitian ini tidak diarahkan untuk menguji coba produk di lapangan. Materi ajar didesain mengunakan model Hutchinson dan Waters (1987:108) yang terdiri dari input, content focus, language focus, dan task. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 11 unit materi bahasa inggris kantor depan yang sudah dikembangkan. Materi-materi tersebut adalah: (1) Enquiries and Reservations; (2) Giving information about Hotel Facilities; (3) Welcoming Guest and Handling Check-in Guests; (4) Escorting Guests; 5) Explaining Emergency Services and Evacuation Procedures; (6) Events and Tourist Information; (7) Handling Complaint; (8) Handling Check outs and Farewells; (9) Handling Telephone Operator Calls; (10) Successful Interview Skill; (11) Making Covering Letter and Curriculum Vitae. Materi tersebut difokuskan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berbicara bahasa inggris mahasiswa. Kualitas produk sangat bagus (kualitas produk = 4.14) dan sudah memenuhi kriteria evaluasi materi McDonough dkk (2013). Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembagan ilmu Linguistik di Bali, Indonesia terutama cabang Linguistik Terapan dalam hal keteresediaan kerangka relevan pengembangan materi ESP yang bisa dipertimbangkan.Kata Kunci : Materi, Mahasiswa, Kantor Depan, Akomodasi Perhotelan This study aimed at: a) developing materials for teaching English for Front Office Course of Students of Hotel Accommodation of PPLP Dhyana Pura; b) knowing the quality of the developed materials for teaching English for Front Office Course of Students of Hotel Accommodation of PPLP Dhyana Pura as perceived by expert judges. This study used R & D model proposed by Sugiyono (2013). Step 1 (identifying the potency & problem phase or need analysis phase) of Sugiyono Model of R&D Design used Hutchinson & Waters’s Learning-Centered Need Analysis Framework (1987) in order to be used to analyze target and learning needs of English for Front Office Course. The present study was limited into developing the product and expert judgment. Therefore, the field test was not conducted in the present study. The materials were designed by following the model of ESP material design of Hutchinson and Waters (1987:108) which consisted of input, content focus, language focus, and task. The findings of this study showed that there were 11 units of English for Front Office material had been developed. Those were; (1) Enquiries and Reservations; (2) Giving information about Hotel Facilities; (3) Welcoming Guest and Handling Check-in Guests; 4) Escorting Guests; 5) Explaining Emergency Services and Evacuation Procedures; 6) Events and Tourist Information; (7) Handling Complaint; (8) Handling Check outs and Farewells; (9) Handling Telephone Operator Calls; (10) Successful Interview Skill; (11) Making Covering Letter and Curriculum Vitae. The materials were focused on developing the students’ speaking ability. The quality of the product was very good (Product Quality = 4.14) and had met the criteria of material evaluation checklist proposed by McDonough et al (2013). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menginvestigasi materi yang diperlukan oleh pedagang seni dan pedagang acung dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris mereka, (2) mengembangkan materi ESP untuk pedagang seni dan pedagang acung, dan (3) mengevaluasi kualitas materi yang dikembangkan untuk pedagang seni dan pedagang acung yang telah dikembangkan berdasarkan topik yang diperlukan dan persepsi para ahli. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Penelitian dan Pengembangan Sugiyono (2014). Subjek penelitiannya yaitu pedagang seni dan pedagang acung di Taman Tirtagangga dan Lovina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sepuluh topik, yaitu, (1) Salam, (2) Menggambarkan Aktivitas yang sedang berlangsung, (3) Mengucapkan angka dan mata uang, (4) menggambarkan harga dan nilai, (5) menjelaskan produk, (6) meninjau produk, (7) menjual produk, (8) menegosiasikan harga, (9) memberikan pelayanan yang baik, (10) memberikan pujian dan penghargaan. Di masing-masing unit berisi teks bacaan, berbicara, mendengarkan, dan menulis. Penilaian para ahli dan stakeholders dalam kualitas dari produk menunjukkan bahwa materi dikategorikan sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi bagus digunakan untuk mengajar bahasa Inggris untuk pedagang seni dan pedagang acung karena sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka agar mencapai sukses dalam bertransaksi.Kata Kunci : Pengembangan Materi, Bahasa Inggris untuk Pedagang Seni dan Pedagang Acung, ESP This research aimed at (1) investigating the materials required by the art shop attendants and street vendors in developing their English language skills, (2) developing ESP materials for Art Shop Attendants and Street Vendors, and (3) evaluating the quality of the course material for art shop attendants and street vendors which have been developed based on the required topics and the perception of expert judges. This study used Research and Development design suggested by Sugiyono (2014). The subjects were art shop attendants and street vendors in Taman Tirtagangga and Lovina. The results showed that the materials include ten topics, namely, (1) greeting, (2) describing present activities, (3) saying with numbers and currencies, (4) describing price and value, (5) explaining the product, (6) reviewing a product, (7) selling product, (8) negotiating price, (9) giving good service, (10) giving compliment and appreciation. Each unit consists of reading, speaking, listening, and writing. The evaluation of experts and stakeholders on the quality of the product shows that the materials under the category excellent. In conclusion, the developed materials is good for teaching English for art shop attendants and street vendors because it accommodates the needs for their success in the transaction.keyword : Developing Materials, English for Art Shop Attendants and Street Vendors, ESP

Abstract

This study aimed at: a) finding out whether or not there is a significant difference in writing competence between the students who were taught by using genre based approach and those who were taught by using a conventional strategy; b) finding out whether or not there is an effect of the interaction between the implementation of genre based approach and learner autonomy on the students writing competence; 3) finding out whether or not there is a significant difference in writing competence between the students with high autonomy treated by using genre based approach and those treated by using a conventional strategy; 4) finding out whether or not there is a significant difference in writing competence between the students with how autonomy who are treated by using genre based approach and those treated by using a conventional strategy. The study employed a post test for control group and an experiment group with 2 x 2 factorial designs. The population of the study was 196 eighth grade students of SMP Harapan Nusantara in academic year 2015/2016 where in 144 of them were selected as the sample of the study through cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by means of attitude questionnaire and writing competence test and were analyzed by using Two-Way ANOVA and Tukey test. The result of this research such as: a) there was significant difference in writing competence between the students who are taught by using genre based approach and those who are taught by using a conventional strategy, b) there was significant effect of the interaction between the implementation of genre based approach and learner autonomy on the students’ writing competence, c) there was significant difference in writing competence between the students with high autonomy treated by using genre based approach and those treated by using a conventional strategy and d) there was significant difference in writing competence between the students with low autonomy who are treated by using genre based approach and those treated by using a conventional strategy. Kata Kunci : Genre-Based Approach, Learner Autonomy, Writing Competence Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : a) mengetahui perbedaan dalam prestasi anatara siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan genre dan cara konvensional; b) mengetahui efek interaksi anatara mode pembelajaran dan sikap siswa dala prestasi menulis, c) mengetahui perbedaan prestasi siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan genre dan cara konvensional pada siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar yang tinggi, d) mengetahui perbedaan prestasi siswa dengan kemandirian belajar yang rendah diajatkan dengan pendekatan genre dan konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan Post Test Only control group dengan desain 2x2 faktorial. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas delapan tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan jumlah 196 dimana 144 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel dengan menggunakan metode Cluster Random Sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument berupa kuesioner untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran menulis dan berupa kuesioner untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap pembelajaran menulis dan berupa tes tulis untuk mengetahui kempuan siswa dalam menulis paragraf naratif kemudian data dianalisa menggunakan Two-Way ANOVA dan Tukey Test. Hasil dari test tersebut yaitu : a) adanya sebuah perbedaan dalam prestasi anatara siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan genre dan cara konvensional; b) adanya sebuah efek interaksi anatara mode pembelajaran dan sikap siswa dala prestasi menulis, c) adanya sebuah perbedaan prestasi siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan genre dan cara konvensional pada siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar yang tinggi, d) adanya sebuah perbedaan prestasi siswa dengan kemandirian belajar yang rendah diajatkan dengan pendekatan genre dan konvensional. keyword : Pendekatan Genre, Kemandirian Siswa, Kompetensi Menulis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan (1) apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari teknik semantic mapping terhadap kompetensi menulis siswa, (2) apakah ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan dari teknik semantic mapping terhadap kompetensi menulis siswa ditinjau dari text types. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan posttest-only control group. Sampel penelitian ini membandingkan dua kelompok yaitu kelas Resto 3 yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik semantic mapping dan kelas Resto 4 yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik konventional. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik random assignment. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan post tes dalam bentuk paragraph construction test dan hasilnya diperiksa dengan menggunakan rubrik penelitian analitik. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan One-Way ANOVA. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari teknik semantic mapping terhadap kompetensi menulis siswa, (2) tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan dari teknik semantic mapping terhadap kompetensi menulis siswa ditinjau dari text type. Kata-kata kunci: kompetensi menulis, semantic mapping, jenis teks Kata Kunci : kompetensi menulis, semantic mapping, jenis teks The present study aims at proving whether or not (1) there is a significant effect of semantic mapping technique on students’ writing competency, (2) there is a significant difference of the effect of semantic mapping technique on students’ writing competency across text types. It applied posttest-only control group design. The samples compared two groups of students, Resto 3 class taught by using semantic mapping technique and Resto 4 class taught by using conventional technique. The samples were choosen by using random assignment technique. The data were collected by using post-test constructed in the form of paragraph construction test and the writings were scored by using analytical scoring rubric. The data collection were analyzed by using One-Way ANOVA. This study concludes that (1) there is a significant effect of semantic mapping technique on students’ writing competency, (2) there is no significant difference of the effect of semantic mapping technique on students’ writing competency across text types. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi materi mendengarkan yang digunakan pada Bahasa Inggris untuk pelayanan tata hidangan di Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center; (2) mengembangkan materi mendengarkan yang dibutuhkan untuk Bahasa Inggris untuk tata hidangan Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center; (3) menguji kualitas materi mendengarkan otentik untuk mahasiswa pelayanan makana dan minuman di Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain penelitian dan pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2014). Langkah-langkah disain tersebut, yaitu: mengidentifikasi potensi dan masalah, mengumpulkan data, mendisain produk, memvalidasi disain, merevisi disain, menguji produk. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 25 orang mahasiswa pelayanan makan dan minuman, 3 pengajar Bahasa Inggris untuk pelayanan makanan dan minuman, dan manajer 6 hotel dan 1 villa di departemen pelayanan makanan dan minuman (stakeholders). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan para stakeholder membutuhkan karyawan yang mampu berkomunikasi dalam Bahasa Inggris dalam berbagai situasi di hotel dan restoran. Ada delapan topik utama di dalam materi yang dikembangkan ini, yaitu: menyambut tamu, menangani panggilan telepon, menangani pelayanan kamar, menangani pesanan, menyuguhkan makanan, menangani pembayaran, menangani keluhan, dan memberikan informasi. Kegiatan mendengarkan pada materi pengembangan ini terdiri dari pre-listening, whilst listening dan post listening¸ yang pada tiap akhir unit ditambahkan dengan beberapa kasus yang akan dihadapi di tempat kerja sebagai latihan. Hasil dari penilaian ahli terhadap materi yang dikembangkan ini termasuk kategori sangat baik. Begitu juga pada saat implementasi, menurut pengajar dan mahasiswa, produk yang diimplementasikan sudah sangat baik. Selain itu, materi mendengarkan yang dikembangkan memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan mendengarkan mahasiswa tersebut dengan meningkatnya nilai mereka.Kata Kunci : Bahasa Inggris untuk pelayanan tata hidangan, mendengarkan, materi otentik This study aimed at: (1) identifying listening materials that are used for English for food and beverage service of Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center; (2) developing authentic listening materials that are needed for food and beverage service of the training center; (3) investigating the quality of authentic materials for food and beverage service of the training center. This study applied Research and Development designed by Sugiyono (2014). The steps were identifying potential and problem, collecting data, designing product, validating design, revising design, and testing product. The subjects of this research were the 25 students of Food and Beverage Service of Monarch Cruise Line and Hospitality Training Center Dalung, 3 teachers of English for Food and Beverage Service, and 6 hotels and 1 villa managers of Food and Beverage Service Departments (stakeholders). The results show that the hotels and villas needed employees who are able to communicate in English in any situations in hotels or restaurants. There are eight main topics in the developed materials: welcoming guests, handling telephone, handling room service, taking order, serving food, handling payment, handling complaint, and giving information. The listening activities in the developed materials consist of pre-listening, while listening and post listening. Every unit in the developed materials are completed with some cases for practices. The results of the expert judgments toward the developed materials were excellent and the implementations of the developed materials were also excellent based on teachers’ and students’ point of views. Moreover, the listening materials gave positive impact to students’ listening skills that can be seen from the increase of the mean score after the implementations. keyword : English for food and beverage service, listening, authentic materials

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi jenis – jenis materi kursus bahasa Inggris yang dikembangkan untuk perbankan dan (2) mengetahui bagaimana materi kursus bahasa Inggris dikembangkan, dan (3) mengetahui kualitas dari produk materi kursus bahasa Inggris untuk perbankan berdasarkan persepsi uji ahli. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah para pegawai bank. Obyek dari penelitian ini adalah materi kursus bahasa Inggris khusus untuk perbankan. Desain penelitian dari penelitian ini menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) yang disarankan oleh Sugiyono (2010). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada tujuh topik yang diperlukan dalam materi kursus Bahasa Inggris khusus untuk Perbankan, yaitu greeting, finance, jobs in banking, banking products and services, bank transactions, investment dan the economy. Aktifitas meliputi matching test, arranging the words, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, role play, completion, discussion, essay test, true false, think-pair share, dan describing a picture. Materi kursus bahasa Inggris untuk perbankan dikembangkan melalui enam tahap yaitu (1) mengidentifikasi masalah; (2) menjelaskan tujuan; (3) desain dan mengembangkan artefak; (4) menguji artefak tersebut; (5) mengevaluasi hasil pengujian; dan (6) produk prototype. Kualitas dari materi kursus bahasa Inggris untuk perbankan yang dikembangkan berada di kategori sangat tinggi. Disarankan bahwa praktisi berkolaborasi dengan peneliti melakukan beberapa pembaharuan dari materi kursus Bahasa Inggris untuk Perbankan sebagai akibat dari perkembangan jaman dan teknologi yang semakin pesat. Kemudian, buku teks bisa mencangkup semua aspek dalam Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI). Terlebih lagi, produk ini perlu untuk diuji di lapangan untuk memeriksa efektivitas produk.Kata Kunci : Perbankan, Materi Kursus Bahasa Inggris khusus, Pengembangan Materi This study aimed at: (1) identifying the kinds of English course materials which are developed for banking, (2) knowing how the English course materials for banking are developed, and (3) knowing the quality of the product of English course materials for banking based on expert judges’ perception. The subjects of the study were bank employees. The object of the study was ESP (English for Specific Purposes) course materials for Banking. The research design of this study uses Research and Development (R&D) suggested by Sugiyono (2010). The results of the study showed that there are seven topics needed in English course materials for banking, namely: greeting, finance, jobs in banking, banking products and services, bank transactions, investment and the economy. The activities covered matching test, arranging the words, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, role play, completion, discussion, essay test, true false, think-pair share, and describing a picture. The English course materials for banking, were developed through six steps, namely: (1) identifying the problems; (2) describing the objectives; (3) designing and developing the product; (4) testing the product; (5) evaluating the results of testing; and (6) product prototype. The quality of the developed English course materials for banking is categorized very high. It was suggested that the practitioner collaborate with the researchers do some renewal of the English course materials for Banking as the results of the development of era and technology which grew rapidly. Then, the textbook might cover all aspects in Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI). Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan awalan dan akhiran di Dialek Bahasa Bali Batumadeg yang mengalami derivasi dan infleksi. Dalam penelitian ini ada dua jenis informan yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang sudah ditentukan, dinamakan informan pertama dan informan kedua. Teknik yang digunakkan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu, teknik observasi, rekaman dan teknik wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa terdapat lima jenis awalan di Dialek Batumadeg, yaitu {mÓ™-}, {kÓ™-}, {n-}, {si-}, dan {a-} dan enam jenis akhiran: {-Ó™ng}, {-an}, {-in}, {-ne}, {-Ó™}, dan {-n}. Terdapat empat jenis awalan yaitu: {mÓ™}, {kÓ™-}, {n-}, dan {si-}, dan satu jenis akhiran yaitu: {-ang} yang termasuk morfem derivasi. Dan juga, terdapat tiga jenis awalan yaitu: {n-}, {mÓ™-} dan {Ó™-}, dan lima jenis akhiran yaitu: {-ne},{in},{-an},{-Ó™},dan{-n} yang termasuk morfem infleksi.Kata Kunci : morfem derivasi, morfem infleksi, awalan, akhiran This study was designed in form of descriptive qualitative study with the aim of describing the prefixes and suffixes exist in Batumadeg dialect which belongs to derivational and inflectional morphemes. There were two kinds of informants chosen based on a set of criteria namely; main informant and secondary informant. Three techniques were used to collect the data, namely observation, recording, and interview technique and four instruments were used in this study those are; the researcher, recorder, note and Holle and Nothofer words list. The results of the study indicate that there are five kinds of prefixes found in Batumadeg dialect, namely {me-}, {ke-}, {n-}, {si-}, and {a-} and six kinds of suffixes: {-ang}, {-an}, {-in}, {-ne}, {-e}, and {-n}. There are four kinds of prefixes: {me}, {ke-}, {n-}, and {si-}, and one kind of suffixes: {-ang} which belong to derivational morphemes.
