Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengungkap ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik lagu-lagu kreasi dan siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik konvensional dalam hal kompetensi berbahasa Inggris. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Post-Test Only Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas empat sekolah dasar di SD Negeri 4 Padangkerta pada tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Kelas IV A dan kelas IV B terpilih sebagai sampel melalui teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu, kelompok experimen dan kelompok kontrol,yang masing- masing diajar menggunakan teknik yang berbeda. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari hasil post-test sesudah pengajaran dilakukan. Hasil tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil dari analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa kelompok experimen memperoleh nilai rata-rata 82, sementara kelompok kontrol memperoleh nilai rata-rata 73. Hasil dari analisis inferensial melalui uji-t menunjukan nilai dari to (t-hitung) yaitu 4.034, melampaui nilai dari tcv (t-tabel) yaitu 1.99 (dengan level signifikan 5%). Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kompetensi berbahasa Inggris kelompok experimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil tersebut juga menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lagu-lagu kreasi sebagai teknik dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris memiliki pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan teknik konvensional.Kata Kunci : kompetensi berbahasa Inggris, lagu-lagu kreasi This is research was an experimental research which concerned on revealing whether or not there was a significance difference in students’ English competence taught by using scripted songs and conventional technique. The design of this research was Post-Test Only Control Group Design. The population of the study was all fourth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Padangkerta in the academic year 2013/2014. Class IV A and class IV B were chosen as the sample through Cluster Random Sampling. The samples were divided into two groups, experimental group and control group, which were given different treatment. The data in this research were obtained from the result of posttest after the treatments were given and were analyzed further descriptively and inferentially. The result from descriptive analysis showed that the experimental group achieved higher mean score in English competence than the control group, in which the mean score of experimental group was 82 and the mean score of control group was 73. The result of the inferential statistical analysis through independent sample t-test showed that value of to (t-observed) was 4.034, exceeding value of tcv (t-critical value) at 1.99 (significance level 5%). Those results concluded that there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, in which scripted songs as a technique for teaching English affected better than conventional technique.keyword : English competence, scripted songs

Abstract

Penelitian ini ada sebuah penelitian deskiptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prefik dan suffik dari dialect Pelaga yang tergolong inflectional dan derivational. Dua narasumber sampel dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tiga tehnik, yaitu: tehnik observasi, merekam dan wawancara (mendengarkan dan mencatat). Hasilnya dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada empat jenis prefik ditemukan pada dialek Pelaga. Prefik tersebut ialah: [si-], [pa-], [ma-], [n-] dan [ka-]. Selain itu juga terdapat enam jenis sufik yaitu: [-in], [-ne], [-ang], [-an], [-a] dan [-n]. Selanjutnya ada empat jenis prefik yang tergolong kedalam jenis prefik derivational yaitu: [si-], [ma-], [n-] dan [ka-]. Terdapat dua jenis sufik yang tergolong kedalam jenis sufik derivational yaitu: [-in] dan [-ang]. Sementara itu, prefik yang tergolong jenis inflectional ialah: [ma-], [n-], dan [pa-] an sufik inflectional adalah [-in], [-ne], [-ang], [-an], [-a] dan [-n].Kata Kunci : morfem derivational, morfem inflectional, dialek Pelaga This research is a descriptive qualitative research which aimed at describing the prefixes and suffixes in Pelaga Dialect (PD) which belong to derivational and inflectional. Dua narasumber dari Tambakan dipilih berdasarkan beberapa kriteria. Data Dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga teknik, yaitu: teknik observasi, teknik merekam, dan teknik wawancara (mendengarkan dan mencatat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada enam jenis awalan ditemukan dalam dialek Tambakan . Awalan itu adalah: [ si - ] , [ ma - ] , [ n - ] , [ ka - ] , [ pa - ] , dan [ba - ] . Juga ada enam jenis akhiran ditemukan ada dalam dialek Tambakan . Akhiran itu adalah : [ -in ] , [ - ang ] , [ - ne ] [ -an ] , [ -a ] , [ - n ] . Selain itu ada empat awalan yang mengalami derivasi: [ si - ] , [ ma - ] , [ n - ] dan [ ka - ] dan ada dua macam akhiran ditemukan pada dialek Tambakan yang diklasifikasikan sebagai akhiran derivatif . Akhiran itu adalah : [ -in ] dan [ - ang ] . Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan jumlah fonem dari Dialek Tambakan (DT). Penelitian sinkronis ini dirancang dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Tiga sampel informan dari DT dipilih berdasarkan seperangkat kriteria. Data dikumpulkan berdasarkan empat daftar kata: Swadesh, Budasi dan Daftar Kata Holle. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DT memiliki 48 fonem, yaitu: 6 vokal; /ʌ/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /o/, dan /∂/. 11 Diftong; /ʌi/, /iʌ/, /ʌu/, /uʌ/, /u∂/, /ʌ∂/, /ʌe/, /ʌɔ/, /ui/, /i∂/, dan /iu/, 3 vokal rangkap; /ʌʌ/, /II/, and /uu/, 19 konsonan; /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/,/ʔ/,/s/, /c/,/j/, /l/, /r/, /h/, /m/, /n/, /ñ/, / ŋ/, /w/, dan /y/, dan 9 kelompok konsonan; /kl/, /bl/, /ml/, /pl/, /sl/, /kr/, /pr/, /tr/dan /br/. Tidak semua fonem menyebar di yiga posisi (awal, tengah, dan akhir kata). Kata Kunci : penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, sistem fonologi, dialek tambakan, fonem, vokal, diftong, konsonan dan konsonan kelompok. The study aimed at describing the number of phonemes of Tambakan Dialect (TD). This synchronic study was designed by using a descriptive qualitative research. Three informant samples of TD were chosen based on a set of criteria. The data was collected based on four word lists: Swadesh’s, Budasi’s and Holle’s Word Lists. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively. The result of the study shows that TD has 48 phonemes, namely: 6 vowels; /ʌ/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /o/, and /∂/. 11 Dipthongs; /ʌi/, /iʌ/, /ʌu/, /uʌ/, /u∂/, /ʌ∂/, /ʌe/, /ʌɔ/, /ui/, /i∂/, and /iu/, 3 geminate vowels; /ʌʌ/, /II/, and /uu/, 19 Consonants; /p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/,/ʔ/,/s/, /c/,/j/, /l/, /r/, /h/, /m/, /n/, /ñ/, / ŋ/, /w/, and /y/, and 9 Consonant clusters; /kl/, /bl/, /ml/, /pl/, /sl/, /kr/, /pr/, /tr/and /br/. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh dari lagu kreasi sebagai sebuah teknik mengajar terhadap kompetensi bahasa Inggris siswa kelas 4 SD Saraswati Tabanan tahun akademik 2013/2014. Post-test only control group design digunakan sebagai desain penelitian. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 4. Melalui teknik Cluster Random Sampling, dua kelas diambil sebagai sampel di penelitian ini, yakni kelas 4B and 4C. Kelas 4B dipilih sebagai kelompok kontrol, sedangkan kelas 4C sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Secara keseluruhan, terdapat 75 siswa terpilih sebagai wakil dari populasi. Siswa di kelompok eksperimen diajarkan dengan menggunakan lagu kreasi, sedangkan kelompok kontrol diajarkan dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional. Di akhir pengajaran, kedua kelompok diberikan post-test. Hasil post-test lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ditemukan siswa yang diajar menggunakan lagu kreasi memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik ketimbang mereka yang diajar menggunakan teknik konvensional. Ini dibuktikan dari nilai rerata kelompok eksperiment adalah 79,05, sedangkan kelompok kontrol adalah 69,5. Lebih lanjut, hasil dari independen sampel T-test menunjukan t observed (tobs) adalah 5.000. Hasil ini lebih tinggi dari nilai t critical value (tcv) adalah 1.99 (α= 0.05). Ini membuktikan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan pada kompetensi bahasa inggris antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Kata Kunci : lagu kreasi, kompetensi bahasa inggris This study aimed at investigating the effect of Scripted Songs as a teaching technique on English competence of the fourth grade students of primary school in SD Saraswati Tabanan in academic year 2013/2014. Posttest only control group design was used as a research design. The population was all the fourth grade students. Through Cluster Random Sampling technique, two classes were taken as the samples in this study, namely class 4B and 4C. Class 4B was assigned as the control group while class 4C as the experimental group. In total, seventy five students were taken as representative of the population. The students in experimental group were taught by using Scripted Songs, while the students in control group were taught by using Conventional Technique. At the end of treatment, both groups were given a posttest. The result of the posttest was then analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the students who were taught by using Scripted Songs obtained better result than those who were taught by using Conventional Technique. It was proven by the mean score of the experimental group was 79.05, while the control group was 69.5. Moreover, the result of the independent sample t-test showed that the value of t observed (tobs) was 5.000. It was higher than the value of t critical value (tcv) was 1.99 (α= 0.05). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam pemanfaatan scripted songs sebagai strategi belajar terhadap kompetensi bahasa Inggris siswa. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di SDN 1 Semarapura Tengah, Klungkung. Untuk menentukan sample, peneliti menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dimana dua kelas terpilih setelah melalui proses lotre. Hasil lotre menunjukkan bahwa kelas IV C ditetapkan sebagai grup eksperimen dan IVB sebagai grup kontrol. Kedua kelompok ini kemudian diberikan perlakuan berbeda dimana grup eksperimen diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan lagu, sedangkan grup kontrol diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan teknik konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan post test sebagai instrumen. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil dari statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata dari grup eksperimen adalah 76.89, sedangkan nilai grup kontrol adalah 70.11. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lagu memberikan efek yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan penggunaan teknik konvensional. Secara inferensial, didapatkan bahwa nilai tob adalah 2.16, sedangkan nilai tcv adalah 1.99. Dari perbandingan keduanya, didapati bahwa nilai tob lebih besar dari tcv . Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan lagu dan yang diberi perlakuan dengan teknik konvensional. Dapat disimpulkan juga bahwa hipotesis alternatif dapat diterima.Kata Kunci : Scripted Songs, Kompetensi Bahasa Inggris Siswa This study aimed at investigating whether or not there was a significant difference in students’ English competency between students who were taught by scripted songs as innovative teaching technique and conventional technique. The population in this study was the students of grade four in SDN 1 Semarapura Tengah, Klungkung. Cluster random sampling was applied to obtain the sample of study, and two classes were taken by using lottery. The result of lottery shows that IVC was chosen as the experimental group, and IVB as the control group. In order to obtain the required data, the two groups were given treatments. The experimental group was taught by using scripted songs, while the control group was taught by using conventional technique. The instruments used in this study were teaching scenario and post test. The obtained data were analysed through descriptive and inferential statistics. From the descriptive statistics, it was shown that the mean score of the experimental group was 76.89, while the mean score of the control group was 70.11. It means that songs as technique in teaching affects better than conventional technique. From the inferential statistics, it was found that the value of t observed ( to ) was 2.16. While, the critical value of t (tcv) is 1.99. From the comparison of these two values, it was clear that the to exceeded the tcv. It means that there was a significant difference in students’ English competency for those who were taught by using songs and conventional technique. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan lagu kreasi terhadap kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian eksperimental ini adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Gugus Semeru, Kecamatan Melaya. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan teknik tersebut, kelas kelas IV SD N 4 Melaya berada di kelas eksperimental dan siswa kelas IV SD N 2 Melaya berada di kelas kontrol dengan jumlah sampel keseluruhan sebanyak 58 orang. Setelah penerapan metode, post-test diberikan kepada masing-masing grup. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan deskriptif dan inferensial statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen adalah 72.08, sedangkan kelompok kontrol mendapat 61.16. Selain itu, uji t skor post-test kedua kelompok menunjukkan nilai thitung 5.505 dengan nilai ttabel 2.003. Ini membuktikan bahwa bahwa lagu kreasi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan Bahasa Inggris siswa.Kata Kunci : Kompetensi Bahasa Inggris, lagu kreasi Penelitian eksperimental ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan lagu kreasi terhadap kemampuan Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas IV di Sekolah Dasar. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian yang menggunakan rancangan posttest only control group ini adalah siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Gugus Semeru, Kecamatan Melaya. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Berdasarkan teknik tersebut, kelas IV SD N 4 Melaya berada di kelas eksperimental dan siswa kelas IV SD N 2 Melaya berada di kelas kontrol dengan jumlah sampel keseluruhan sebanyak 58 orang. Setelah penerapan metode, posttest diberikan kepada masing-masing grup. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan deskriptif dan inferensial statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimental lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimental adalah 72.08, sedangkan kelompok kontrol mendapat 61.16. Selain itu, uji t skor posttest kedua kelompok menunjukkan nilai thitung 4.505 dengan nilai ttabel 2.003. Ini membuktikan bahwa bahwa lagu kreasi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan Bahasa Inggris siswa.keyword : English competence, scripted songs

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jumlah prefiks dan suffiks di Dialek Tianyar dan jenisnya dari Infleksi dan Derivasi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif Qualitatif. Dua sampel informan dari Dialek Tianyar dipilih berdasarkan seperangkat kriteria. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan 3 tehnik, yakni: tehnik observasi, merekam, dan wawancara (mencatat dan mendengarkan). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada lima jenis prefiks dan lima jenis suffiks di Dialek Tianyar. Prefiks tersebut yakni prefiks {N-}, {ma-}, {sa-}, {pa-}, dan {ka-}. Suffiks tersebut yakni suffiks {-in}, {-ne}, {-an}, {-ang}, dan {-e}. Jenis prefiks dan suffiks yang tergolong derivasi adalah prefiks{N-}, {ma-}, {sa-}, {pa}, and {ka-} dan suffiks {-ang}, {an}, {-ne}, dan {-in}. Jenis prefiks dan suffiks yang tergolong infleksi adalah prefiks {N-}, {ma-}, dan {ka-} dan suffiks {-ang}, {an}, {-ne}, {-in}, dan {-e}.Kata Kunci : derivasi prefiks dan suffiks, infleksi prefiks dan suffiks, dan Dialek Tianyar This study aimed at describing the number of prefixes and suffixes in Tianyar Dialect and its types of inflectional and derivational. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. Two informant samples of Tianyar Dialect were chosen based on a set criteria. The data were collected based on three techniques, namely: observation, recording technique, and interview (listening and noting) technique. The results of the study show that there were five prefixes and five suffixes existed in Tianyar Dialect. The prefixes were {N-}, {ma-}, {sa-}, {pa-}, and {ka-}. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa penggunaan lagu kreasi berbasis audio media memiliki efek yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas lima. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang menggunakan rancangan penelitian post-test only control group design yang dilakukan di SDN 3 Kampung Baru dan SDN 5 Kampung Baru. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas lima sekolah dasar yang berada di gugus 1 kecamatan Buleleng. Kemudian, 2 kelas yang terdiri atas 35 murid dipilih sebagai sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Sebelum pengajaran dilakukan, peneliti terlebih dahulu melakukan uji kesetaraan normalitas dan homogeneitas terhadap sampel menggunakan nilai ulangan tengah semester. Data kompetensi Bahasa Inggris siswa diperoleh dari hasil posttest yang mencakup tes listening, reading, writing, dan speaking. Tes yang digunakan adalah tes yang sudah diujicobakan dan dinyatakan valid serta reliabel. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, diperoleh t hitung 4.152 dan t table 1.99. Maka, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan lagu kreasi berbasis media audio memiliki efek yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar di gugus 1 kecamatan Buleleng.Kata Kunci : kompetensi Bahasa Inggris, lagu kreasi, media audio. This study aimed at investigating whether or not the use of scripted songs based audio media has a significant effect toward English competence possessed by the fifth grade students. The design of this current quasi experimental research was post-test only control group. It was conducted in SDN 3 Kampung Baru and SDN 5 Kampung Baru. The population of this research was all the fifth grade students of primary school in sub-district 1 Buleleng. Two classes consisted of 35 students were chosen as the samples by using random sampling technique. Before the treatment was conducted, the researcher used students’ summative score to determine the normality and homogeneity. The data of students’ English competence were obtained from the results of the posttest covering the students’ listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. The researcher used posttest which was already tried out to determine its validity and reliability. The results show that t observed was 4.152 and t critical value was 1.668. This study concludes that the use of scripted songs based audio media has a significant effect toward the fifth grade students’ English competence in sub-district 1 Buleleng.keyword : audio media, English competence, scripted songs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujian untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan langakah langkah pada perkawinan Ngidih di desa Sawan, (2) mendeskripsikan jenis jenis strategi berkomunikasi yang digunakan oleh Prajuru ‘kepala desa, klian desa adat, dan delegasi dari keluarga laki-laki’, dalam perkawinan Ngidih di desa Sawan, (3) mengivestigasi alasan dari Prajuru ‘kepala desa, klian desa adat, dan delegasi dari keluarga laki-laki’ dalam menggunakan strategi berkomunikasi pada perkawinan Ngidih di desa Sawan. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptip. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan cara deskripsi. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah lima orang yang terlibat dalam perkawinan Ngidih di desa Sawan. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada delapan langkah-langkah dalam perkawinan Ngidih di desa Sawan, diantaranya: Ngeluku ‘perkenalan keluarga mempelai laki laki dan perempuan’, Nyedekang/ Meparisedek ‘penentuan hari meminta mempelai perempuan, Ngidih ‘meminta mempelai perempuan untuk dibawa kerumah mempelai laki laki’ Pebiayakala ‘penyucian mempelai laki laki dan perempuan’, Mesakapan/Medengenan ‘penyatuan mempelai laki laki dan perempuan’ , Medapetan ‘pengesahan perkawinan’, Mepedambel ‘menjelaskan berbagai rasa dalam hidup’, and Ngelaliang ‘berkunjung ke rumah mempelai perempuan’. Berdsarkan hasil penelitian maka ditemukan bahwa ada lima jenis strategi berkomunikasi yang digunakan oleh Prajuru ‘kepala desa, klian desa adat, dan delegasi dari keluarga laki-laki’, diantaranya: approximation, circumlocution, language switching, paralanguage, dan clarification request. Alasan mereka menggunkan strategi berkomunikasi, diantaranya: untuk mengidari kesalahpahaman/ membuat pendengar mengerti, memberikan penjelasan yang baik, dan menekankan ucapan ucapan. This study was designed in the form of qualitative research. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively.
