Abstract

AMC Hospital faces the challenge of maintaining service quality while efficiently managing human resources. Employee loyalty, which encompasses their commitment and dedication to the company, is crucial in achieving organizational goals. The reciprocal relationship between the company and its employees, where the company provides means to meet employee needs while employees contribute to achieving the company's goals, forms the foundation of employee loyalty. This study aims to determine the influence of workload and compensation on employee loyalty, mediated by work enthusiasm. This research uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Workload has a negative and significant effect on loyalty, where higher workload leads to lower employee loyalty. Compensation also has a negative effect on loyalty, indicating that increasing compensation does not necessarily increase loyalty. Work enthusiasm has a significant positive impact on loyalty. Lastly, work enthusiasm partially mediates the effect of workload and compensation on loyalty, though it does not entirely eliminate the negative impact of these two factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication strategy of cost transparency in improving the adherence to the visit schedule of psychiatric patients at Lancang Kuning Hospital Pekanbaru. Through a qualitative approach, this study examines how the preparation of structured communication and the application of elements of cost transparency can affect the understanding and compliance behavior of patients' families. The results of the study showed that communication strategies delivered sequentially, ranging from clinical conditions to explanations of actions and cost details, were able to reduce confusion, build trust, and strengthen the quality of interaction between health workers and families. The implementation of six elements of cost transparency such as clarity, accessibility, openness, cost details, room for clarification, and consistency of information has been effective and increased the perception of professionalism and accountability of hospitals. The family's level of understanding of the service process and cost structure is directly evident in their adherence to the visitation schedule and treatment procedures, as adequate understanding decreases anxiety and increases readiness to receive services. This study emphasizes that the integration of structured communication and cost transparency reinforce each other in forming accountable, effective, and comfort-oriented services for patients' families.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of financial risk management and its impact on the efficiency of operational costs at Paramedika Bekasi Hospital. The research employs the SNI ISO 31000:2018 framework as the analytical foundation. The method applied is a descriptive qualitative case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants, documentation studies of financial reports, and field observations. The findings reveal that the implementation of financial risk management in the hospital does not meet the principles of SNI ISO 31000:2018. The process is reactive and fragmented, characterized by top-down communication, the absence of formal risk context establishment, undocumented risk assessment, treatment strategies reliant on internal borrowing, and ineffective monitoring mechanisms. This condition leads to the organization's inability to anticipate and mitigate various financial risks, which ultimately directly impacts the low efficiency of operational costs. The novelty of this research lies in its holistic approach, which integrates an international standard framework with an in-depth analysis of the unique context of private hospitals in Indonesia, particularly in an acute financial crisis situation.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a managerial strategy to accelerate waiting time through the identification of the root of the problem using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The research used a qualitative design involving five groups of informants, namely patients, specialist doctors, nurse at output patient clinics, medical record officers and management. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and Likert scale assessments, then analyzed using the FMEA approach to determine the Severity, Occurrence, Detection, and Risk Priority Number (RPN) values in each failure mode. The results of the study showed four failure modes with the highest RPN scores, namely: Hospital Management Information System failure (RPN 47.75), registration administration process (RPN 43.40), repeated service failures (RPN 42.05), and delay in specialist doctor attendance (RPN 40.98). HMIS is the most critical factor because it has the highest frequency of disruptions and has a direct impact on the entire service flow. Other dominant obstacles are delays in medical record files, insynchronization of administrative processes, and obstacles in pharmaceuticals. Based on these findings, the proposed managerial strategies include short-term improvements (optimization of human resources and SOPs), medium-term (digitalization through EMR and e-prescribing), and long-term (strengthening of Hospital Management Information System infrastructure and implementation of CQI). This research confirms that accelerating waiting times requires an integrated managerial approach, focusing on digitalization and cross-unit coordination.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement and work compliance on organizational commitment through effort reward imbalance as a mediating variable in healthcare workers at Harapan Sehat Hospital, Slawi. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The research sample consisted of 92 respondents taken using proportional sampling technique with the Slovin formula from a total population of 120 healthcare workers. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS to test the relationship between variables and the mediating effect. The results showed that employee engagement and work compliance have a positive and significant effect on effort reward imbalance, and each of these variables also has a direct effect on organizational commitment. In addition, effort reward imbalance was proven to be able to significantly mediate the influence of employee engagement and work compliance on organizational commitment. The conclusion is that increasing employee engagement and work compliance can strengthen the organizational commitment of healthcare workers, both directly and through the mechanism of effort reward imbalance as a mediating variable.   Keywords: Employee Engagement, Work Compliance, Effort Reward Imbalance
