Abstract

The objective of this study was to create additional educational resources in English, specifically tailored for students in the 7th grade who have a slower learning pace at the junior high school level. This investigation was conducted at SMP N 2 Ubud. The software incorporates learning activities that are based on problem-based learning (PBL), project-based learning (PjBL), and discovery-based learning (DBL) methodologies. The product was developed using the D&D approach recommended by Richey and Klein (2007). The ADDE procedures encompass the stages of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The participants in this study consisted of an English teacher and 70 seventh-grade students from SMP N 2 Ubud. The data obtained from the analysis technique is gathered through the means of observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis. The outcome of the analysis technique was followed by the creation of the blueprint for additional material. The plan was utilized in the product development process. The supplemental material was incorporated into the 7th grade course of the Merdeka Curriculum. The evaluation found that the additional material is suitable for the teacher to utilize as educational media for students with slow learning abilities.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop differentiated instruments assessment for 10th-grade students in Senior High School. The D&D method by Richey & Klein (2008) served as the research design, supported by ADDE procedures. Two teachers from two different schools were recruited as informants for the study. Data were collected through ADDE procedures, including observation, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using a qualitative approach by Miles, Huberman, & Saldaña (2014), starting with data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions, and quantitatively using Nurkancana and Sunartana’s (1992) Formula. The findings showed that teachers greatly needed differentiated instruments assessment for 10th-grade students in Senior High School. It was found from the statements of L1 and L2 that they did not yet have differentiated assessment forms despite differentiating during diagnostic assessment. The lack of alignment between the results of diagnostic assessment and the assessment process at the end of learning prevented the achievement of assessment goals. This also included issues with the structure and implementation plan of the assessment

Human life has entered the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, where technology plays an important role in human life. Likewise, teaching and learning activities are currently being collaborated with technology. However, in practice, many schools still tend to use conventional methods in teaching. Conventional methods This makes students tend to feel bored in participating in learning. Many learning methods have been developed which are considered effective in increasing student enthusiasm for learning. One of the effective, interactive, innovative, and attractive methods for students that can be used is the gamification method. This study aims to develop learning media in digital games for elementary school students learning English. The Design and Development (D&D) methodology and the ADDIE development model were used in this study. The subjects in this study were five fifth-grade elementary school students. Data collection methods in research are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The data obtained are (1) the results of the design and development of learning media using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). (2) results of product effectiveness and validity data from expert judgment, teachers, and users (students). Based on the results of expert judges, website game-based learning English media products are considered very valid as English learning media. Abstract

Playing is essential for children. Thus, play-based learning has been argued to create engaging learning. Employing literature review research from George, this study aims to provide a comprehensive review of play-based learning, the types of play-based learning, and their strengths and weaknesses for language learning. The data sources were previous studies published from 2015-2020 in reputable international journals and accredited national journals indexed by Sinta and other relevant sources. Play-based learning can be categorized into three types: child-directed play that results in involuntary creative learning; teacher-directed play, which allows teachers to set up more structured plays; and mutually-directed play, which combines both types of play to provide maximum benefits for both teachers and children. It implies that teachers should select the type of play that suits the children's needs, situation, and learning objectives when choosing to implement play-based learning.

Abstract

This research provides an in-depth review of the integration of digital literacy and cyber socialization in 21st-century education, positing the importance of these two aspects in preparing students for an ever-evolving world. Using PRISMA's framework for systematic analysis, the study evaluated articles from reputable journals between 2014 and 2024, presenting results that underscore a significant shift in the educational paradigm from traditional to digital. Digital literacy, defined as the ability to use technology efficiently, search and evaluate information, and communicate effectively on digital platforms, has become an essential requirement in modern education. The study shows that digital literacy not only improves technical skills but also supports critical and creative learning among students. In addition, digital literacy education includes teaching ethics and online safety and encouraging responsible internet use. Cyber socialization, with its focus on interaction through social media and digital platforms, has enriched the learning experience through wider collaboration and exchange of resources. However, it also poses challenges such as cyberbullying and security issues, which demand a structured educational response to address related social and psychological issues. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the COVID-19 pandemic have accelerated the acceptance of technology in education, emphasizing the importance of character education and the adaptation of innovative teaching methods. Education that is responsive to technological change must integrate digital literacy into all aspects of learning, leading to a more holistic and inclusive approach. Overall, the study underscores the importance of digital literacy and cyber socialization in shaping adaptive and supportive learning environments. 21st-century education must recognize and utilize technology not only as an auxiliary tool but as an integral part of the curriculum, to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in the digital age. By ensuring that digital literacy and cyber socialization are at the heart of education, we can anticipate future needs and challenges, shaping a generation that can not only survive but thrive in an ever-changing digital landscape.
