Abstract

This study aims to analyze the catastrophic structural failure experienced bya UPS McDonnell Douglas MD-11F (N259UP) cargo aircraft on November 4, 2025, inLouisville, Kentucky. The investigation focused on the detachment of the number 1 enginedue to engine pylon failure during takeoff. Through metallurgical analysis and a review ofthe NTSB investigation report, fatigue cracking in the forward mount fitting was found to bethe primary cause of the engine detachment. The results revealed gaps in routineinspection methods for aging aircraft. The study concluded that transitioning to StructuralHealth Monitoring technology and fleet modernization are crucial risk mitigation measuresfor the global air cargo industry.

Abstract

Emergency diesel generator is a very important system in every industry includingthe airport industry because this system supports the electricity of important equipment whena blackout occurs. in the emergency diesel generator system, there is a battery as a starter forthe diesel engine. if the battery capacity decreases, the diesel generator will not be able tostart the engine, therefore in the emergency diesel generator system, regular batterymaintenance is needed to maintain system reliability. in this journal, preventive maintenanceon the battery will be explained, especially on the emergency diesel generator system battery.one indicator of decreased capacity in the battery is an increase in its internal resistance value.in preventive battery maintenance, analyzing the increase in internal resistance can be areference for replacing a new battery.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of strategic digital leadership and organizational communication in improving organizational performance in Educational Institutions. This is because since the Covid-19 outbreak, several Educational Institutions have not been able to survive and eventually closed. The Covid-19 Pandemic has so far changed many things, especially changing various aspects of human life today, especially in the world of education. This situation requires all elements of education to adapt. Therefore, the role of a leader in an Educational Institution is very important in determining the right strategy, in order to maintain the Educational Institution he leads. The data sources used in this study are primary data sources. The primary data referred to in this study are questionnaires distributed to respondents. Data collection is cross-sectional or one shot using questionnaires distributed online. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) PLS version 3 is used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that there is a positive influence of organizational communication on organizational performance. This indicates that with effective communication owned by an Educational Institution, it can improve organizational performance. Considering that communication is an important indicator in improving the performance of an organization. The better and more effective the communication that takes place in the organization, the healthier and more open the work climate will be, which will increase productivity. There is a positive influence of strategic digital leadership on organizational performance. This indicates that by implementing strategic digital leadership properly and effectively, it can improve the performance of the organization.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether leadership and communication styles can improve employee performance in civil service schools. The performance of employees in organizations, particularly educational institutions, is influenced by factors such as effectiveness, efficiency, authority, responsibility, discipline, and initiative. The research adopts a literature study method, where secondary data from existing sources is analyzed to gain insights into the relationship between leadership styles, communication effectiveness, and employee performance. The findings indicate that leadership style plays a significant role in enhancing employee performance, with effective leadership fostering motivation, trust, and collaboration among staff. Furthermore, the study highlights that communication styles, particularly open and transparent communication, have a positive impact on employee performance by fostering clarity, reducing misunderstandings, and improving coordination within the organization. In conclusion, both leadership and communication styles are crucial factors in improving employee performance in civil service schools, suggesting that leadership development programs and communication training should be prioritized to optimize organizational effectiveness and productivity.

Abstract

Perkembangan globalisasi dan transformasi digital telah mengubah dinamika dunia kerja, terutama dengan meningkatnya dominasi Generasi Z sebagai tenaga kerja utama yang memiliki karakteristik unik, seperti orientasi pada fleksibilitas, makna kerja, dan kebutuhan akan lingkungan yang inklusif. Kondisi ini menuntut organisasi untuk mengadaptasi gaya kepemimpinan yang lebih responsif dibandingkan pendekatan konvensional yang cenderung hierarkis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran kepemimpinan dalam meningkatkan etos kerja Generasi Z melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode systematic literature review. Data dikumpulkan dari jurnal internasional bereputasi dan jurnal nasional terakreditasi (SINTA) periode 2015–2025 melalui proses identifikasi, penyaringan, dan analisis isi terhadap 25 artikel terpilih. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional, partisipatif, inklusif, dan engaging leadership memiliki peran signifikan dalam meningkatkan work engagement yang menjadi mediator utama terbentuknya etos kerja Generasi Z. Kepemimpinan transformasional mampu membangun makna kerja dan motivasi intrinsik, kepemimpinan partisipatif meningkatkan keterlibatan dan rasa memiliki, kepemimpinan inklusif memperkuat keamanan psikologis dan inovasi, sedangkan engaging leadership mendorong keterikatan emosional dan produktivitas berkelanjutan. Sebaliknya, gaya kepemimpinan konvensional yang otoriter dan kurang partisipatif cenderung menurunkan motivasi serta meningkatkan kecenderungan turnover. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan kepemimpinan adaptif dan multidimensional menjadi faktor kunci dalam membangun etos kerja Generasi Z. Integrasi berbagai gaya kepemimpinan yang berorientasi pada pemberdayaan, keterlibatan, dan kesejahteraan psikologis terbukti lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan keberlanjutan organisasi di era digital.

Abstract

Perkembangan media sosial telah mengubah lanskap kewirausahaan, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa sebagai generasi digital. Platform ini tidak lagi sekadar sarana komunikasi, melainkan telah menjadi media pembelajaran, inspirasi, dan promosi bisnis yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media sosial terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa di era digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan systematic literature review, mengkaji 15 artikel relevan yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2025. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa media sosial memiliki pengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa melalui empat mekanisme utama, yaitu: pembentukan persepsi positif tentang kewirausahaan, peningkatan entrepreneurial self-efficacy, penyediaan akses informasi dan pembelajaran bisnis, serta fasilitasi interaksi dalam komunitas wirausaha online. Kekuatan pengaruh tersebut dimoderasi oleh intensitas dan kualitas penggunaan media sosial, tingkat paparan terhadap konten kewirausahaan, kemudahan akses informasi bisnis, dan kualitas interaksi dalam komunitas wirausaha online. Kesimpulannya, media sosial dapat menjadi instrumen strategis dalam pendidikan kewirausahaan di perguruan tinggi dan perlu dimanfaatkan secara terstruktur untuk menumbuhkan minat berwirausaha mahasiswa.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMK Swasta Akuntansi IRA Medan tentang Prinsip Pareto (80/20) dan pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI) untuk memprediksi ide bisnis bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Maret 2026 melalui workshop partisipatif berbasis andragogi dengan peserta 35 siswa kelas XII Jurusan Akuntansi. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi pre-test, penyampaian materi berbasis studi kasus ulasan pelanggan e-commerce, praktik analisis data menggunakan spreadsheet sebagai simulasi mini-AI, diskusi kelompok, dan post-test. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman dan lembar observasi keterampilan analisis. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 42,3 menjadi 78,6 atau sebesar 85,3%. Sebanyak 85,7% siswa mampu mengidentifikasi 20% masalah pelanggan yang memberikan 80% dampak terhadap kepuasan dan loyalitas pelanggan. Dengan demikian, workshop ini efektif membekali siswa dengan keterampilan analisis prioritas bisnis berbasis data serta pemahaman peran AI dalam kewirausahaan modern.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in the Society 5.0 era has brought significant impacts across various aspects of life, including education and entrepreneurship. As future leaders, students are expected to possess digital literacy skills that go beyond technical abilities, encompassing critical thinking, creativity, and innovation in utilizing technology to create new economic opportunities. This study aims to examine the extent to which digital literacy influences students’ entrepreneurial interest in the context of Society 5.0. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. A total of 13 students were selected as respondents using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring digital literacy and entrepreneurial interest variables. The collected data were then analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple regression tests. The results reveal a positive and significant relationship between digital literacy and entrepreneurial interest (r = 0.62; p < 0.05). This indicates that the higher the students’ level of digital literacy, the greater their interest in entrepreneurship. Therefore, the findings highlight the importance of strengthening digital literacy within higher education curricula to foster innovative, adaptive, and competitive entrepreneurial mindsets among students in the era of Society 5.0.
