Abstract

This study addresses the need for efficient crop cultivation solutions, particularly in urban areas, by developing an automatic Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic system integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT). Traditional hydroponic systems often require intensive monitoring and can be rigid in adapting to changing conditions, especially when using binary logic for control. The proposed system utilizes fuzzy logic as its core calculation method to manage uncertainty in decision-making, allowing for more flexible control than classical binary logic. It incorporates pH, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), temperature, and water level sensors, connected to an Arduino Nano and ESP32 microcontroller. Data is stored and communicated in real-time via Firebase, and the system is controlled through an Android application developed with MIT App Inventor. This design aims to enhance automation, improve system control, and enable more efficient management of hydroponic operations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep, urgensi, dan penerapan Kode Etik Guru Indonesia melalui pendekatan penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis peran kode etik dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme, integritas, dan mutu pendidikan berdasarkan kajian literatur. Data diperoleh dari buku, artikel ilmiah, jurnal, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan dokumen resmi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kode etik berfungsi sebagai pedoman moral dan profesional yang mengatur tanggung jawab guru terhadap peserta didik, orang tua, rekan sejawat, lembaga pendidikan, dan masyarakat. Penerapan kode etik memperkuat karakter moral guru, meningkatkan praktik pedagogik, mencegah pelanggaran etika, serta mendukung pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan antara prinsip ideal dan implementasi di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang mendalam dan penerapan yang konsisten sangat diperlukan untuk membangun budaya pendidikan yang profesional dan berintegritas.

Abstract

Noise is one of the most common physical hazards in industrial environments and may adversely affect both health and workplace comfort. This study aims to analyze noise intensity during production processes and its impact on workers’ comfort perception at compressor manufacturing plant, as well as to estimate the potential risk of permanent hearing loss using the Noise-Induced Permanent Threshold Shift (NIPTS) method based on ISO 1999:2013. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, consisting of noise measurements at five production points over three working days and the distribution of questionnaires to 31 respondents to assess perceptions regarding comfort, communication disturbance, concentration, and physical complaints. The results indicated that noise intensity in several areas, particularly frame manufacturing and sandblasting, exceeded the threshold limit of 85 dB(A), with the highest level reaching 117.6 dB(A). NIPTS calculations showed that workers in these areas were at high risk of permanent threshold shifts, with values ranging from 31.28 to 69.77. In contrast, the bending machine area presented noise levels closer to the threshold, with relatively low NIPTS values (0.30–0.71), suggesting a lower risk of long-term auditory impairment. Questionnaire results revealed that 50% of workers perceived noise levels as severe, 29.2% as moderate, and 20.8% as mild. The majority also reported that noise slightly interfered with their concentration and comfort, although most were able to adapt to the working conditions. In conclusion, noise exposure in the production environment of compressors manufacturing plant poses both auditory and non-auditory health risks. Therefore, comprehensive noise control strategies, including engineering modifications, administrative measures, and consistent use of personal protective equipment, are required to safeguard workers’ health and support sustainable productivity.

Abstract

R-134a refrigerant has been widely used in industrial and commercial refrigeration systems; however, its high global warming potential (GWP) of up to 1430 has driven the search for more environmentally friendly alternatives. R-290 (propane) is considered a promising candidate due to its zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and very low GWP of only 3, along with thermodynamic properties that are relatively comparable to those of R-134a. This study aims to evaluate the performance of a refrigeration system retrofitted from R-134a to R-290 using two types of expansion devices, namely a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) and a capillary tube. The experimental method was conducted by varying the refrigerant charge based on equal mass and maintaining similar evaporator temperature conditions under no-load operation. The results indicate that the system using R-290 is capable of delivering cooling performance comparable to that of R-134a for both types of expansion devices. Furthermore, the use of R-290 results in lower energy consumption, with energy savings ranging from 8% to 9% compared to R-134a. This comparable performance suggests that the thermodynamic properties of R-290 are sufficiently compatible to replace R-134a in the same system without requiring significant modifications to the main components. The observed performance differences are primarily influenced by flow characteristics and the expansion process associated with each type of expansion device. Therefore, R-290 demonstrates strong potential as an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient alternative refrigerant, particularly for retrofit applications in existing refrigeration systems.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi kesehatan mental dan kemampuan manajemen stres siswa SMK Pariwisata ‘Aisyiyah Sumatera Barat melalui edukasi interaktif dan praktik relaksasi. Program dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam pemaparan materi, diskusi terbuka, dan simulasi teknik pengelolaan stres. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep kesehatan mental, sumber stres, serta strategi koping adaptif yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Antusiasme peserta dan keterlibatan guru menunjukkan bahwa program ini relevan dengan kebutuhan sekolah vokasi yang menghadapi tekanan akademik dan persiapan dunia kerja. Edukasi ini selaras dengan nilai-nilai Kemuhammadiyahan dan Ke’Aisyiyah yang menekankan keseimbangan jasmani dan rohani sebagai fondasi pembentukan manusia berkemajuan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil menciptakan kesadaran preventif dan keterampilan praktis bagi siswa untuk membangun ketangguhan mental serta mendukung terciptanya lingkungan sekolah yang sehat secara psikologis.

Abstract

Donggi Senoro LNG, sebuah produsen dan eksportir LNG terkemuka di Indonesia, telah menegaskan komitmennya terhadap keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) sesuai dengan visi perusahaan sebagai penyedia LNG yang aman dan terpercaya. Dalam konteks infrastruktur pengapalan LNG yang krusial, seperti jetty fender, perlindungan kapal dan struktur jetty dari kerusakan selama proses labuh menjadi perhatian utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis risiko keselamatan kerja terkait penggantian Jetty Fender menggunakan metode Bowtie. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 21 aktivitas berpotensi risiko dan 4 risiko prioritas, termasuk potensi kebakaran dan ledakan, personil terjepit, tertimpa material atau peralatan, serta terjatuh ke laut. Rekomendasi pengendalian yang diusulkan mencakup inspeksi peralatan, detektor kebocoran, serta koordinasi tim guna memperkuat aspek keamanan. Dengan pendekatan yang terintegrasi, termasuk instruksi kerja yang komprehensif dan pelatihan yang tepat, PT. Donggi Senoro LNG berkomitmen menjadikan keselamatan kerja sebagai prioritas utama selama proyek penggantian Jetty Fender, sejalan dengan visi perusahaan sebagai penyedia LNG yang aman dan terpercaya.
