Abstract

The Relationship Between Self-Efficacy, Self-Development, And Human Resource Competence With Innovative Organizations In Higher Education. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-development, self-efficacy, and human resource (HR) competence in fostering innovation within organizations. Methods: To address this issue, this research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire. The analysis model applied is path analysis using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), with respondents comprising program heads, lecturers, and educational staff at higher education institutions, totaling 350 individuals. Findings: The results indicate that there is no significant collective influence of all variables on organizational innovation. However, each variable plays a distinct role in shaping innovation. Self-efficacy directly influences organizational innovation, while self-development contributes to innovation only when strongly linked with HR competence. This suggests that fostering a highly innovative organization requires strengthening self-efficacy alongside improving self-development and HR competence. Conclusion: To enhance organizational productivity and innovation, it is crucial to first improve self-efficacy and self-development among lecturers and educational staff. Strengthening these aspects will enhance lecturer competence, which directly impacts the organization's capacity to innovate. Organizations should prioritize initiatives that support professional growth and self-efficacy to create a more sustainable and innovative environment. Keywords: self-efficacy, self-development, human resource competence, innovative organizations.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and their writing ability in narrative texts at the tenth grade of Vocational Senior High School 8 Kota Serang. Employing a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 35 students selected through simple random sampling. Two instruments were used: a vocabulary test and a writing test focusing on narrative composition. The validity and reliability of both instruments were confirmed through Pearson Product–Moment and Cronbach’s Alpha analyses. Descriptive statistics showed that the mean score of vocabulary mastery was 75.60 and writing ability was 74.20, both categorized as good. The Pearson correlation analysis revealed a strong and significant positive relationship between vocabulary mastery and writing ability (r = 0.713, p < 0.05), with vocabulary contributing 50.8% to the variance in writing performance. These results support cognitive–constructivist theories proposed by Piaget and Vygotsky, emphasizing that vocabulary development and writing competence evolve through active learning and social interaction. The findings suggest that integrating contextualized vocabulary instruction into writing practice can effectively enhance students’ writing proficiency, especially in vocational education contexts.

Abstract

Higher education plays a strategic role in producing qualified professional educators, one of which is through strengthening the pedagogical competence of lecturers. This competence is a key factor in determining the quality of learning in higher education. In the Indonesian Language Study Program at Buana Perjuangan University Karawang, lecturers' pedagogical competencies play an important role in the application of learning strategies and the achievement of student learning outcomes. However, research that specifically examines the relationship between lecturers' pedagogical competencies, learning strategies, and learning quality is still limited. This study aims to evaluate the pedagogical competencies of Indonesian language lecturers based on two main focuses, namely the learning strategies applied and the quality of learning produced. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with an evaluative study design. The research subjects were lecturers teaching Indonesian language courses, while the objects included aspects of learning planning, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and student questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, and was validated using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the pedagogical competence of lecturers is in the good category, with the highest achievement in the aspects of learning evaluation (88%) and understanding student characteristics (85%). However, the aspects of technology utilization and student potential development still need to be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze university students’ multimodal texts that integrate local wisdom values through the lens of Jean Piaget’s constructivist perspective. The study connects constructivist theory with digital literacy practices rooted in local culture, an area that remains underexplored in Indonesian language education. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on the process of students’ knowledge construction in producing multimodal texts based on local wisdom. The participants were third-semester students of the Indonesian Language, Literature, and Regional Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mathla’ul Anwar University, Banten. The primary data consisted of multimodal text products themed around the local wisdom of Pandeglang, while supporting data were obtained through direct classroom observations and semi-structured interviews. The research instruments included observation sheets, interview guides, and students’ reflection journals. The data analysis process was guided by Piaget’s constructivist framework, which examined the processes of assimilation, accommodation, and equilibration in students’ cognitive development. Data were analyzed through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation employed to ensure data credibility. The findings reveal that students actively assimilated local wisdom knowledge with academic theory, adjusted their ways of thinking and presenting cultural values in multimodal texts, and achieved a balance between cultural preservation and the demands of digital literacy. The process of creating multimodal texts also demonstrated experiential learning (learning by doing) and self-reflection, while variations in visual and narrative styles reflected each student’s individual knowledge construction.
