Abstract

Abstract

The making of Indonesian soccer robot in the division of the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) especially in the process of coil rolling machines on a solenoid does not pay attention to ergonomic factors. The process of winding the wire on the solenoid is done using only the hands manually and in an un ergonomic body position, which is turning and bending. As a result, the convolution process lasts longer and in the wrong posture, causing fatigue and back pain. Macroergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) approaches are used to analyze the posture of the wire. The solution is obtained by design and making an ergonomic and semi-automatic coil rolling machines to solenoid Robot based on the Arduino Microcontroller

Abstract

In the Indonesia coffee premature market, it is important to confirm whether the futures market has interdependence with the spot market. Moreover, as the world’s largest coffee producers after Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia, it is also important to examine the interdependence between Indonesia markets with the offshore futures market whose prices are used uses for local price determination. This study examined the granger causality relationship between Indonesia’s futures and spot market, and granger relationship between Indonesia and the offshore futures market using data of daily Arabica and Robusta coffee prices starting from January 2014 to June 2018. The test indicated that the futures market has a stronger ability to predict the spot market; therefore, price discovery in the futures market. Bidirectional causality relationship between Arabica offshore futures and spot market indicates market demand on Arabica coffee. In general, it’s identified unidirectional granger causality relationship between local and offshore futures market with information flows from the local futures market reflects the offshore market high expectation toward crop information during harvesting period both Arabica and Robusta. This is due to the importance of Indonesia’s coffee crop report to world aggregate coffee production.

Abstract

In addition to premium subsidies, Indonesia's government implements other intervention programs as a stimulus to boost farmers’ participation in Rice Farmers Business Insurance (AUTP). Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of the government intervention program in 2019 that requires participation in AUTP as a prerequisite for redeeming subsidized fertilizer. This study also aimed to ascertain the socioeconomic factors that influence farmers to participate. Meanwhile, primary data were obtained through questionnaires distributed from March 23 to April 6, 2020, and completed by 103 farmers in 14 villages in Sliyeg, Indramayu. The data were analyzed with McNemar Test to determine the effect of farmers’ participation in AUTP when the government intervention program was implemented and terminated. Furthermore, Logistic Regression Analysis is used to ascertain the socioeconomic factors that influence farmers to participate. The result showed that the program affects their participation in AUTP. This level is higher when the program is enforced and decreased when terminated. The socio-economics variables that influenced farmers to participate in AUTP when implemented in the government program are land ownership status and land size, while only land size influenced them when terminated. Keywords: agriculture risk, consumer behavior, government stimulus, participation rate, premium subsidy

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has high biodiversity and is rich in traditional medicine from natural ingredients or herbs. One use of these natural ingredients is as a treatment for self-medication. Many previous studies have been carried out but none has reviewed it systematically, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was carried out systematically using the PRISMA statement approach using the Google Scholar data bank. Out of 2,214 papers in the 2019-2022 period,  45 articles/scientific papers papers met the criteria, including inclusion and exclusion criteria, for a description/profile of the use of natural ingredients or herbs as self-medication for traditional medicine. The central region of Java (D.I.Y Yogyakarta and Central Java) is the region with the largest number of articles. The distinctiveness of Indonesia's approach to self-medication lies in its utilization of various natural elements to address similar ailments, which can be attributed to geographical factors, cultural beliefs, and diverse knowledge across different regions. Meanwhile, Covid-related studies were very limited due to the availability or the preference for chemical self-medication.

Abstract

Conflict in the school environment is an inevitable phenomenon, often arising from issues of communication, personal relationships or organizational structure. Effective conflict management can create an environment conducive to learning and have a positive impact on the quantity of learners. This study aims to examine conflict management at MIS Thoriqil Huda Juwet Nganjuk in the context of increasing learner quantity. Using a qualitative approach with a multicase study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data sources included the academic community as primary data and related documents and photos as secondary data. Data analysis was conducted through the Miles Huberman model, with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, as well as cross-case analysis for comparison of findings. The results showed that both institutions, MIS Thoriqil Huda Juwet Nganjuk and MTs Darul Ihsan Nganjuk, succeeded in identifying the symptoms and causes of conflict and the parties involved. The comprehensive approach at MTs Darul Ihsan, which involves the boarding school caregiver in conflict resolution, as well as evaluation through incidental supervision, has proven effective in improving the quality of teacher performance. Both institutions showed an improvement in the conducive learning environment, which has the potential to increase the number of students and the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure are crucial in supporting the smooth learning process. The teaching and learning process can run effectively with adequate facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the management of educational facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of education. This research uses a qualitative approach with an evaluation method through the discrepancy model. The study was conducted at SDIT Daar El Khaer, Tigaraksa, Tangerang, involving 5 research subjects: the principal, the head of facilities and infrastructure, the school committee, students, and parents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the management of facilities and infrastructure complies with regulations and meets students’ needs, although bureaucratic obstacles remain. Facilities and infrastructure that meet government standards account for only 50%-55%. Therefore, schools must focus on managing facilities and infrastructure effectively and streamline bureaucratic processes to meet students' needs according to official standards. This study recommends that the facilities and infrastructure program at SDIT Daar El Khaer be continued while adhering to the latest standards based on Government Regulation No. 57 of 2021 and Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulations No. 22 and 48 of 2023. The implementation must involve all relevant parties, including the school committee. The principal should oversee the implementation of facilities standards by the head of facilities. Schools need to evaluate bureaucratic obstacles, find solutions to improve efficiency, and continuously monitor and enhance their facilities according to regulations to improve educational quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low good character among students, which has an impact on immoral actions. The purpose of this investigation is to identify the leadership style of tuan guru in shaping the character of students and to analyze the methods and approaches used by tuan guru in the character formation process. Research is important to provide new insights and solutions related to the character of students, cultural leadership, and a holistic approach. Several previous studies such as: Building Creative, Tolerant, and Responsible Student Characters. Independent Character Development Strategy for Students. The Role of Modern Islamic Boarding Schools in the Formation of Leadership Character. Contribution of Islamic Boarding School Education in Character Formation. Character Education Patterns in Islamic Boarding Schools. Shows that Islamic boarding schools have an important role in shaping the character of students through an integrated approach between academic education and moral values. With the right strategy, students can develop into creative, tolerant, responsible individuals, and have good leadership skills. Research on student character, cultural leadership, and a holistic approach has not specifically explored the integration of character development with cultural leadership and the synergy between local values and character education. This confirms the novelty of this manuscript. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a contribution of cultural leadership and a holistic approach to the character of students. The results of the study indicate that the paternalistic leadership style of Tuan Guru and exemplary behavior in daily behavior have a significant impact on the formation of students' character. In addition, learning methods that integrate local cultural values have proven effective in supporting the characterization process. The conclusion of this study confirms that cultural-based leadership in Islamic boarding schools contributes significantly to building students' character holistically.
