Abstract

A Needs assessment is the first step that must be done in learning design activities. Needs assessment Analysis is done when facing problems in a lesson. The problems that are commonly encountered in learning Genetics courses are several scientific terms that are similar to one another and are considered difficult by most students. This has an impact on students' conceptual and factual understanding is low. Through the Needs Assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire survey for lecturers and students, as well as observations identified problems in order to determine the right action, so that the learning design that will be carried out is the best solution. The survey results obtained are summarized and concluded as problem identification and then analyzed to find the right solution. The solution to the identification results obtained is learning the Karyotype Group Strategy, namely the first; class organization based on the shape of the grouping of chromosomes. Second; learning begins with forming groups or organizing classes, because at the same time it is a form of simulation of the core material of learning Genetics.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Project Based Learning model on the biology learning outcomes of the tenth graders of SMAS PGRI Sungguminasa on the material of environmental change. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were all students of class X SMAS PGRI Sungguminasa with a research sample of 53 students. Data collection techniques using the test method. The results showed that learning outcomes using the Project Based Learning model obtained an average value of 78.20. While the conventional learning model obtained an average value of 64.29. And there is an effect of the Project Based Learning model on the biology learning outcomes of class X students of SMAS PGRI Sungguminasa.Keyword : Project Based Learning (PjBL), learning outcome.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar biologi peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe Two Stay Two Stray. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA sebanyak 36 orang. Penelitian dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2023 dari Agustus hingga September 2023. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan setelah mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran Cooperative learning tipe Two Stay Two Stray menunjukkan hasil belajar biologi siswa meningkat dari 69,44% menjadi 91,67% . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa menerapkan model Cooperative learning tipe Two Stay Two Stray ke dalam pembelajaran di kelas dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi peserta didik.

Abstract

This research aims to find out what echinodermata can be found on Samboang Beach in Bulukumba district that can be used as a source of learning outside the classroom. This research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research. The research instruments used in this study are the observation sheet and identification sheets. Based on observations and data identification, it can be concluded that "Inventarization of Echinodermata at Samboang Beach in Bulukumba district as a source of learning outside the classroom" is: The type of echinoderma found in Samboanga Beach is that there are 8 species, 7 genus, 7 families, and 6 ordos, consisting of 4 classes of the filum echinoderma.Keywords : Inventory, Echinoderms, Learning Resources

Abstract

Abstract. E-comic learning media is one of the educational innovations in an effort to increase students' interest in reading. The study aims to produce valid e-comic learning media on the digestive system material for class XI SMA. The type of research is research and development (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model. The study was conducted in August 2023-June 2024 at SMAN 12 Maros. The subjects of the study were 2 biology teachers of class XI and 31 students of class XII MIPA 2 SMAN 12 Maros. The research instruments were interview sheets and questionnaire sheets. Data analysis techniques in the study, namely qualitative and quantitative analysis. The validity of the product is assessed by the validator. The assessment criteria used consist of five aspects, namely aspects of content/content feasibility, presentation, problem-solving skills, language, and accessibility of media use. The results of the study showed that the assessment of the two validators was 88.33% which was in the very valid category so that the e-comic learning media on the digestive system material for class XI SMA was suitable for use in learning. Abstract

The cleanliness and beauty of the environment is greatly influenced by waste. Waste that is not managed properly will affect the quality of the environment. There are two important things in the concept of waste management, namely community participation and management of the waste generated by each household. The problems are: (1) people are powerless to manage waste, due to lack of knowledge of the importance of maintaining and creating a healthy environment, (2) people are indifferent and do not feel they are participating in efforts to create a clean and beautiful environment, (3) lack of knowledge about the major impacts of using plastic bags, (4) people think that shopping using plastic bags is very practical. The solution offered is to provide basic training in stages and practically with the method of delivering materials and demonstrations. Before delivering the material, motivation is given in terms of Enlightenment, the problem of patience and perseverance in the roles and benefits that can be given to nature and others, explaining the latest actual facts about the condition of the earth which has been greatly gripped by plastic waste. The results achieved are that the community is empowered to create a clean and beautiful environment in their environment through their abilities: (1) Having awareness of caring for the environment, (2) Knowing the big impact of landfilling plastic waste on nature, (3) Being able to avoid the use of plastic bags, ( 4) Able to apply, use and develop the training results to the fullest.

Abstract

AbstrakTelah dilaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berjudul “PKM Pelestarian Lingkungan Mengubah Minyak Jelantah Menjadi Produk Bernilai Ekonomi di Kota Makassar”. Pelatihan ini bertujuan agar kelompok masyarakat khususnya para pengusaha gorengan di Kota Makassar memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola minyak jelantah sisa penggorengan. Minyak jelantah yang tadinya hanya dibuang dan berdampak pada kelestarian lingkungan dapat dimanfaatkan kembali menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai ekonomi plus berguna bagi Kesehatan. Agar Minyak Jelantah tidak lagi dibuang begitu saja, melainkan diolah kembali menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi, yakni mengubah minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aromaterapi. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama 1 hari dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 13 orang peserta pengusaha gorengan. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan di Kantor Pengembangan SDM Anshar Akil Institut (AAI) beralamat Jl. Borong Raya No. 4A Makassar, pada hari sabtu tanggal 6 Juli 2024. Pelatihan diberikan dengan metode penyampaian materi, demonstrasi dan diskusi. Materi pelatihan berupa pengetahuan tentang bahaya minyak jelantah bagi Kesehatan dan pelestarian lingkungan serta Langkah-langkah membuat lilin aromaterapi. Demonstrasi yang dilakukan dengan memperlihatkan contoh dan pemanfaatan lilin aromaterapi. Hasil dari upaya mengolah minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aromaterapi bagi pengusaha gorengan adalah lingkungan sekitar menjadi lebih Lestari, unit usaha dapat lebih berkembang, dan dapat menambah penghasilan.Kata kunci: Pelestarian Lingkungan, Minyak Jelantah, Bernilai EkonomiABTRACT Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) activities have been carried out entitled "PKM Environmental Conservation Transforms Used Cooking Oil into a Product of Economic Value in Makassar City". This training aims to ensure that community groups, especially fried food entrepreneurs in Makassar City, have the knowledge and skills in managing used cooking oil left over from frying pans. Used cooking oil which was previously just thrown away and had an impact on environmental sustainability can be reused into a product that has economic value plus is useful for health. So that used cooking oil is no longer just thrown away, but is reprocessed into an economically valuable product, namely turning used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles. This training was carried out for 1 day with a total of 13 fried food entrepreneurs participating. Training activities were carried out at the Anshar Akil Institute (AAI) Office located at Jl. Borong Raya No. 4A Makassar, on Saturday 6 July 2024. Training is provided using material delivery methods, demonstrations and discussions. The training material consists of knowledge about the dangers of used cooking oil for health and environmental conservation as well as steps for making aromatherapy candles. The demonstration was carried out by showing examples and the use of aromatherapy candles. The result of efforts to process used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles for fried food entrepreneurs is that the surrounding environment becomes more sustainable, business units can develop more, and can increase income.Keywords: Environmental Conservation, Used Cooking Oil, Economic Value.

Abstract

Abstrak Penyuluhan ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan tentang program gizi spesifik dan gizi sensitif untuk mencegah prevalensi stunting bagi orang tua TK/TPA Al Ikhlas Kecamatan Galesong Utara Kabupaten Takalar.  Stunting merupakan salah satu keadaan malanutrisi yang berhubungan dengan ketidakcukupan zat gizi masa lalu sehingga termasuk dalam masalah gizi yang bersifat kronis. Stunting diukur sebagai status gizi dengan memperhatikan tinggi atau panjang badan, umur, dan jenis kelamin balita. Edukasi gizi terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu persiapan, pengorganisasian, edukasi dan latihan, serta tahap akhir. Tahap Edukasi dan pelatihan melalui Ceramah dan Focus Group Discussion terkait pentingnya gizi saat kehamilan, ASI Eksklusif, MPASI dan tumbuh kembang balita. Edukasi terkait stunting meliputi pengertian, penyebab, gejala dan deteksi hingga pencegahan stunting. Selain itu, Edukasi juga terkait pentingnya PHBS pada masyarakat untuk mencegah terjadinya stunting. Alhamdulillah PKM telah berhasil dengan Sukses karena Persatuan Orang Tua sebagai mitra sangat kooperatif, dan antusiasme peserta mengikuti kegiatan sangat tinggi. Lancar karena peserta aktif berdiskusi dari awal hingga akhir baik pada sesi penyampaian materi pertama maupun pada penyampaian materi kedua tanpa gangguan. Tertib karena peserta tidak ada yang meninggalkan acara saat pendampingan berlangsung dan tetap didampingi Pengurus Yayasan Al Ikhlas. Kata kunci: Edukasi Gizi, Stunting, PHBS Abstract This counseling aims to provide knowledge about specific nutrition programs and sensitive nutrition to prevent the prevalence of stunting for parents of TK/TPA Al Ikhlas, North Galesong District, Takalar Regency. Stunting is one of the malnutrition conditions related to past nutritional insufficiency so that it is included in chronic nutritional problems. Stunting is measured as nutritional status by taking into account the height or length, age and sex of the toddler. Nutrition education consists of four stages, namely preparation, organization, education and training, and the final stage. Education and training phase through Lectures and Focus Group Discussions related to the importance of nutrition during pregnancy, exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding and toddler growth and development. Education related to stunting includes understanding, causes, symptoms and detection to prevention of stunting. In addition, education is also related to the importance of PHBS in the community to prevent stunting. Thank God PKM has been successful because the Parents' Association as a partner is very cooperative, and the enthusiasm of the participants to take part in the activity is very high. It was smooth because the participants actively discussed from start to finish both in the first and second material delivery sessions without interruption. It was orderly because none of the participants left the event during the mentoring and were still accompanied by the Management of the Al Ikhlas Foundation. Keywords: Nutrition Education, Stunting, PHBS

Abstract

AbstrakPengabdian kepada masyarakat tentang pembuatan sabun cuci piring untuk meningkatkan pendapatan Kelompok Ibu PKK Desa Pa’rappunganta Kecamatan Polombangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar di mana sabun cuci piring merupakan salah satu kebutuhan rumah tangga. Kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan Kelompok Ibu PKK di Desa Pa’rappunganta dalam pembuatan sabun cuci piring. Metode kegiatan ini dilakukan secara bertahap yaitu pemaparan materi, diskusi, praktik pembuatan sabun cuci piring, refleksi dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kelompok ibu PKK sudah mampu membuat sabun cuci piring cair sendiri atau secara mandiri sehingga peluang untuk membuka usaha semakin terbuka lebar untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan respon peserta terhadap kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat positif menunjukkan nilai rerata 89,5 berarti berada pada kriteria baik.Kata Kunci: Sabun cuci piring, Kelompok Ibu PKK, Desa Pa’rappungantaAbstractCommunity service regarding making dishwashing soap to increase the income of the PKK Women's Group, Pa'rappunganta Village, North Polombangkeng District, Takalar Regency, where dishwashing soap is one of the household needs. This outreach and training activity for the community is to increase the knowledge and skills of the PKK Women's Group in Pa'rappunganta Village in making dishwashing soap. The method of this activity is carried out in stages, namely presentation of material, discussion, practice of making dish soap, reflection and evaluation of the activity. The results of the activity show that the PKK women's group is able to make liquid dishwashing soap themselves or independently so that opportunities to open a business are increasingly wide open to increase family income. The evaluation results show that the participants' response to this training activity was very positive, showing an average score of 89.5, which means it is in the good criteria.Keywords: Dish washing soap, PKK Women's Group, Pa'rappunganta Village

Abstract

This training aimed to empower the members of Majelis Taklim Nurul Muhajirin in Tamalate District, Makassar City, by educating them on the use of pineapple peels to produce probiotic Tepache. Tepache is a traditional Mexican fermented beverage made from pineapple peels, sweetened with brown sugar, and flavored with cinnamon and cloves. This drink contains probiotics that benefit both immunity and digestive health. Prior to the training, the members of Majelis Taklim had never received such training and were unfamiliar with how to utilize pineapple peels as an ingredient for a healthy drink. Through a hands-on demonstration, participants learned how to make Tepache and took part in an organoleptic test to assess the drink's taste and quality. The training results showed high enthusiasm from the participants, who were pleased to learn that pineapple peels, which they previously considered waste, could be turned into a refreshing and healthy beverage. This training is expected to raise awareness and improve the members’ ability to productively utilize fruit waste.
