Abstract

Sustainable ecosystem services are increasingly recognized amid rapid regional transformation. While the rate of urbanization in China continues to rise, there is an urgent need to evaluate public preferences and their associated economic values concerning urban green space (UGS). The aim of this study was to calculate the overall willingness-to-pay (WTP) for UGS across China. Literature search was performed systematically on Scopus, Scilit, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases on 11 November 2023. Studies reporting the WTP in China were included in the analysis. Quality of the included studies were appraised by using Q-SSP tool consisting of 20-item quality of survey studies in psychology. To calculate the overall willing to pay rate and WTP, a meta-analysis was performed using restricted maximum-likelihood model on raw proportions. A total of nine studies were included comprised of 9381 valid responses with high quality according to Q-SSP (score: 70–90%). Findings from the meta-analysis indicated that the rate of willing to pay for UGS was 70.8% (95%CI: 60%, 82%; p-Het<0.001, I2= 99.37%). The rate was not affected by sample size, age, gender, and education (p>0.05). Among mainland Chinese population alone, the average minimum WTP was 2.97 USD/month, and increased to 3.36 USD/month if combined with Hong Kong population. A majority of over 70% Chinese population were willing to pay for UGS. Nevertheless, high heterogeneity in the pooled estimates suggest the importance of addressing contextual variables and presence of regional disparities.

Abstract

Children's supplements are products widely offered by drug manufacturers. Their benefits and uses are essential for supporting the growth and health of children. Nevertheless, there is a lack of research in Indonesia examining the relationship between parental demographic factors and attitudes towards purchasing children’s supplements. This study employs a mixed-method approach to investigate the impact of demographic factors on attitudes toward purchasing children’s supplement products, aiming to fill the research gap. A total of 124 parents from diverse backgrounds participated as respondents, with 29.8% being male and 70.2% female. Their education levels ranged from high school (7.3%), bachelor’s degree (26.6%), master’s degree (50%), to doctoral degree (16.1%). The results of the regression analysis indicate that only income level plays a positive role in shaping attitudes towards purchasing children’s supplements. Notably, 89.5% of respondents believe in the benefits of these supplements. This study highlights the influence of income level on buying attitudes regarding children’s supplements. Future research should consider a larger sample size to better represent the population.

Abstract

The level of taxpayer compliance is still low in submitting the Annual SPT. There are still many taxpayers who have not implemented or utilized the use of the e-filing system. The formulation of the problem is whether the application of the E-filing system has an effect on taxpayer compliance in submitting annual tax returns at the North Sumatra DGT Regional Office. The results of this study are based on simple linear regression analysis, the variable of the application of the e-filing system has a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance in submitting the Annual Income Tax Return in the Regional Tax Office of North Sumatra I. This can be proven by the Adjusted R Square value obtained by 0.869, which means that the effect of implementing the e-filing system on taxpayer compliance is 86.90%. The remaining 13.1% is influenced by other factors other than the factors used in this study. based on the results of the t test, the significance value of the hypothesis is smaller than the level of significance, namely 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the implementation of the e-filing system has a significant effect on taxpayer compliance in the North Sumatra Regional Tax Office I.

Abstract

Abstract

Human trafficking is a transnational crime in the form of human smuggling and is the third largest transnational crime in the world after drugs and weapons. Some of the contributing factors are cheap labor, low risk, high reward, and sexual demands. From 2017 World Bank data, there are 9 million Indonesians working abroad and only 4.7 million are recorded in SISKOP2MI (Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Computer System), the remaining 4.3 million people are illegal. This is the background to which this research was conducted. It is not easy to prevent and eradicate criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO) because it requires the seriousness of many parties, from the police, courts, public prosecutors to the Ministry. Human trafficking has various modes, apart from the perpetrators and victims, it must always be understood in terms of legal definitions. Without theoretical guidelines and legal norms, it would be dangerous because it could lead to wrong shots, for example in determining a suspect. This research uses secondary legal materials, a case approach and uses prescriptive analysis. It is hoped that the results of this analysis can provide input for efforts to prevent and eradicate TIP in the jurisdiction of each Regional Police/Polres.

Abstract

Mastitis is an inflammatory condition that occurs in breastfeeding mothers in the first month postpartum. The incidence of mastitis is around 9-20% which is caused by a lack of frequency of breastfeeding, errors in breastfeeding and pressure on the breast tissue. In this study, we examined the relationship between mastitis and postpartum depression. reviewed from Google Scholar database and other related websites. With the keywords "mastitis, depression, postpartum". A total of 3 out of 3,140 were then selected according to the theme and similarities were searched for from each journal found. Publication range from 2019 to October 2023. obtained from a population of 1,555 people who experienced mastitis, 147 with significant results of 68% that those who experienced mastitis would harm themselves and desire suicide and mothers over 35 years of age would be more at risk of developing depression Mothers who breastfed were 74.67 ± 4.35; the average EPDS score was 5.73 ± 4.34. And mothers suffering from lactational mastitis had higher EPDS scores at 34-38 weeks of gestation and experienced an increase in EPDS scores. at 6 weeks postpartum The occurrence of physical difficulties or health problems during breastfeeding has been associated with a greater risk of developing mental symptoms of health problems in the postpartum period. In particular, several prospective studies have shown that there is an association between the presence of physical health problems and the first 3 months (or more) after giving birth and the emergence of depressive symptoms in women at the age of 6 to 12 months postpartum
