The critical thinking skills of students in schools on global warming materials have not improved. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of STEM-based PBL (science, technology, engineering, mathematic) LKPD in improving students' critical thinking skills, especially on global warming materials. The research method used was an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 36 students of class X of SMA Negeri Kesamben Jombang. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills after implementing STEM-based PBL learning on global warming materials. The average pretest score of 45.72 increased to 79.89 in the posttest with an average N-Gain score of 0.742 which showed an increase of 74.22% with the high category in 21 students, 11 students in the medium category and 4 students in the low category. The STEM approach is implemented in physics learning with the aim of not only improving critical thinking skills but also helping students in developing 21st century skills.

Perubahan iklim saat ini sudah menjadi permasalahan utama bagi kehidupan manusia, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan memberikan edukasi pada dunia pendidikan yang didukung dengan model pembelajaran, maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran Experiential Learning pada materi Perubahan Iklim untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimental design dengan Intact-Group Comparison design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa hasil validasi perangkat pembelajaran, lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, soal keterampilan berpikir kritis dan angket respon untuk menilai keefektifan model pembelajaran Experiential Learning pada materi perubahan iklim. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada aspek validitas instrumen penelitian mendapatkan hasil dengan kategori sangat valid; pada aspek keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mendapatkan hasil dengan kategori sangat baik; pada aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol. Sesuai hasil penelitian bahwa menggunakan model pembelajaran Experiential Learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas peserta didik dalam aksi mengatasi dan mengurangi dari permasalahan perubahan iklim. Salah satu aksi nyata dari peserta didik yaitu dapat mengurangi kenaikan suhu sekitar dengan cara melakukan penghijauan pada sekitar lingkungan.

Perubahan iklim merupakan masalah global yang sedang dialami oleh manusia di muka bumi. Kurangnya kesadaran manusia tentang perubahan iklim merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya perubahan iklim. Upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut yaitu meningkatkan kesadaran diri pada setiap manusia dengan memberikan edukasi pada dunia pendidikan tentang perubahan iklim. Tujuan peneliatian untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan terrarium sederhana dengan model problem based learning untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Intact – Group Comparison design. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian simple random sampling. Metode analisis data dengan skor keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa serta uji – t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas instrument memperoleh hasil dalam kategori valid dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran memperoleh hasil dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis diperoleh kategori sangat baik dari semua aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis dan memperoleh nilai uji – t 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga kedua kelas memiliki perbedaan hasil yang signifikan. Siswa juga melakukan percobaan terrarium sederhana sebagai miniatur untuk membuktikan dan menujukkan cara mengurangi dampak dari perubahan iklim yaitu dengan melakukan penghijauan/reboisasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terrarium sederhana dengan model problem based learning pada materi perubahan iklim dapat melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

This research focuses on students' lack of interest in actively participating in the learning process. This study aims to determine how students' activeness and learning outcomes in science content are affected by the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. This research is included in the type of classroom action research which includes a class of 28 seventh-grade junior high school students. Research data was obtained by classroom observation and written tests at each stage. According to the study's findings, students who were actively engaged in the learning process performed better and had better learning outcomes. This research shows that the CRT approach has a positive influence on students' activeness in participating in learning and student learning outcomes. Learning with the CRT approach is an innovation in conducting learning so that the science learning process becomes more interesting and meaningful by integrating real experiences that students have encountered which are adapted to science learning materials. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini berfokus pada rendahnya ketertarikan perserta didik untuk belajar secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) terhadap keaktifan peserta didik dan hasil belajarnya pada materi IPA. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan satu kelas sebanyak 28 peserta didik tingkat SMP kelas VII. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan tindakan observasi kelas dan tes tertulis pada setiap tahapan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh adanya peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik yang terlibat secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dan juga peningkatan hasil belajarnya. Dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan CRT memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keaktifan peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Pembelajaran dengan pendekatan CRT merupakan inovasi dalam melakukan pembelajaran agar proses belajar IPA menjadi lebih menarik dan bermakna dengan mengintegrasikan pengalaman nyata yang pernah dijumpai peserta didik yang disesuaikan materi pelajaran IPA.

The high number of losses and casualties experienced by the Indonesian people is caused by various factors. One of the factors lies in the people who lack knowledge in dealing with climate phenomena. Student-teacher candidates must take an important role in solving climate problems. One solution is to predict climate phenomena. This study uses the ARIMA model to predict the El Niño La Niña & Indian Ocean Dipole phenomenon. The research method is the ARIMA model prediction steps using student worksheets. (1) know the model by determining ACF and PACF. (2) parameter model estimation determines ARIMA on predetermined ACF and PACF. The ARIMA parameter model is the slightest Mean Squared Error (MSE) level. (3) the diagnostic model of the smallest MSE. (4) a measure of predictive accuracy. And (5) Argumentation. Results In the IOD calculation, the correlation between the three-month prediction period is 0.92 and for six months is 0.96. This is the same as in the Nińo 3.4 correlation data. The value is close to 1, which is very accurate and can be used. The predicted value of the IOD index was expected. The resulting values ​​ranged from 0.01 to 0.17. This means that students are proficient in making climate predictions. Because students are enthusiastic and passionate about studying climate, it is a new science

This study investigates the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in improving the critical thinking skills of science education students in a biophysics course. The research employed a pre-experimental design using the One Shot Case Study method with posttest-only data. The participants were fourth-semester undergraduate students from the Science Education Study Program at the State University of Surabaya, who took the Biophysics course in the 2023/2024 academic year. The study was conducted in June 2023. Data analysis using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed a significance value of 0.086, indicating that the data were normally distributed. A one-sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.417, which supports the conclusion that PBL has a positive influence on students’ critical thinking skills. Overall, the implementation of PBL in biophysics lectures demonstrates its potential to enhance critical thinking among science education students.

Background: Considering the significant impact of Technological Knowledge (TK), Content Knowledge (CK), and Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) modeling on teachers' ability to improve quality learning, practical preparation in the form of training for science teachers aims to prepare the application of TPACK quality in more effective learning. This effort is also a form of support for Indonesia-Malaysia cooperation in implementing internationalization programs. Method: Through the steps of needs analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, these findings reveal that Malaysian SIKL teachers have a good understanding of TPACK after the implementation of the training. It can be seen from the learning tools that have been developed that they have integrated TPACK in the learning tools, although they still need to be improved. Result: Especially in the aspect of teachers not being optimal in following developments in learning technology. Conclusion: The evaluation notes from this research provide recommendations for future research to promote sustainable teacher training programs to truly be able to create appropriate TPACK-based learning demands in the 21st century era.

Learning activities are placed as an influence on developing potential, self-control, spiritual strength and the skills needed to benefit fellow individuals. Learning strategies require collaboration with students' learning styles to support exploring their potential. The low science learning outcomes obtained during observations were caused by the use of learning models that were not based on students' learning styles. The aim of this research is to optimize students' science learning activities and outcomes through the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media. This type of research is included in the Classroom Action Research (PTK) category with the subject being students in class VII C of SMP Negeri 2 Lamongan for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection techniques use observation, tests and documentation. The results of the research showed that in cycle 1 the percentage of students' learning activities was 74% and learning outcomes were 75%. The reflection stage obtained in cycle 1 became a provision in perfecting learning activities in cycle 2, so that the percentage obtained from cycle 2 regarding students' learning activities increased to 92% and student learning outcomes are 89%. It can be seen from the percentage obtained in cycle 2 that it has reached the classical limit set by the researcher. This shows that science learning using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by audio-visual media has a positive impact in optimizing students' activities and learning outcomes.

Argumentation plays an important role in improving students' critical thinking skills. In science learning, there is a lot of factual content that can be used as argumentation to improve critical thinking skills. This study offers an evaluation of previous research that shows the importance of argumentation learning in science to improve critical thinking through bibliometrics. This study aims to describe the trend, contribution, and stages of argumentation strategies in science to improve critical thinking skills. The research method used is a bibliometric study and a systematic literature review. The data that meets the requirements in this study were 257 documents from Scopus. The results obtained indicate that argumentation research in science to improve critical thinking skills continues to increase. One of the countries that contributed to this study was Indonesia. The findings show that argumentation is effective in improving critical thinking skills through pattern analysis. So it can be concluded that argumentation in science learning can improve critical thinking skills through experienced facts. Research is expected to contribute to the importance of argumentation in science education, understand current research trends and contributions, and be encouraged to implement or develop argumentation-based learning strategies.

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' critical thinking skills after implementing physics learning integrated with natural disaster mitigation of volcanic eruptions. This type of research is quasi experimental and Non-equivalent Control Group pre-test and post-test Design conducted at one of the SMAN in Kediri Regency. The number of samples in this study were 66 students in two classes selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument was in the form of a critical thinking skills test which was analyzed using excel software to determine how much the students' critical thinking skills improved between the experimental class and the control class through the n-gain value. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that the average n-gain of the experimental class is higher at 0.60 compared to the control class of 0.48. These results indicate that the application of the PBL model integrated with volcanic eruption mitigation in experimental classes is more influential in improving students' critical thinking skills than control classes that use conventional learning
