Abstract

One of the successes of a learning program is obtained by the various feedbacks during the evaluation process, including when the program is implemented in the form of distance learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of graduate students in English Education department about the effectiveness of distance learning carried out by the tutors during the learning process. Descriptive quantitative method was used in this study to answer the objectives of this study. A total of 21 students of master's degree in English Education department were involved in this study by selecting the respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The researchers used the measurement with reference to Kirkpatrick's model which explains the effectiveness of online learning through the aspects of reaction, learning, behavior and results. The result showed that the majority of respondents were satisfied with the learning process provided by the tutor as seen from the satisfaction score that reached more than 75% for each aspect. Meanwhile, other results also showed that the four aspects which were the manifestation of the effectiveness of a tutor's learning have a strong and significant relationship in supporting the performance of a tutor. This study emphasized the importance of elaboration of every aspect that must be possessed by the tutors in carrying out online learning.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh dari brand experience, brand image, brand trust, dan brand loyalty sebagai prediktor yang mempengaruhi munculnya purchase intention. Metode penelitian kuantitatif model kausalitas digunakan dengan melibatkan responden penelitian sebanyak 150 orang dan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan mengacu kepada teori-teori yang menjadi grand pembahasan peneliti dan dilakukan modifikasi serta pengujian instrument sehingga menghasilkan instrument yang baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa brand experience, brand image, dan brand loyalty berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap purchase intention. Begitu juga dengan brand experience yang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap brand trust dan brand image. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa semakin besar variabel prediktor yang mempengaruhi purchase intention, maka akan semakin besar juga kemunculan dari purchase intention tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi praktis bagi para pemilik hotel untuk meningkatkan kualitas hotel mereka semakin baik sehingga bisa meningkatkan kesejahteraan tidak hanya bagi hotel tetapi bagi pengunjung itu sendiri.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting word of mouth. A causality quantitative research design was used to answer this question by involving a sample of 120 tourists on Komodo Island who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. A modified set of questionnaires was distributed to all respondents, including informed consent as involvement in the study, and then analyzed using multiple regression tests and mediation tests with the help of AMOS software. The study results show that personal factors and celebrity endorsements have a partial effect on buying behavior, as well as buying behavior which significantly affects the word of mouth of research respondents. Personal factors and celebrity endorsements also directly affect word of mouth. The implications of this research provide information about the importance of these variables in supporting the optimization of tourism on Komodo Island.

Abstract

Curriculum changes often occur following the direction of technological developments and the basic needs desired from the curriculum. The existence of an independent curriculum is a new hope to provide more space for students to self-actualize. The purpose of this research is to explore the challenges and strategies that will be faced by various stakeholders in implementing an independent curriculum at the elementary school (SD) level. A qualitative research design with a case study model was carried out to answer these objectives. Researchers conducted a series of interviews and observations in 6 elementary schools in the city of Bandung, the city of Bogor and the city of Surakarta. This research involved the government, principals, teachers and students to get a better picture of the implementation of the independent curriculum. The results showed that the presence of an independent curriculum was welcomed by all levels of education in this study. This is illustrated by the enthusiasm of all respondents to jointly study and implement the values of the independent curriculum in the learning process. The biggest challenges in the process of implementing this independent curriculum include the readiness of teachers as carriers of change in the classroom, school support in providing supporting facilities both material and non-material, to the diversity of students in a class. Meanwhile, the best thing to do now is to continue to optimize the good side of this independent curriculum together, and try to fix any shortcomings that may be felt. In general, the existence of this independent curriculum is a new benchmark for the development of the learning process that occurs in schools, so that it can be a joint evaluation to continue to develop the potential of existing students. AbstrakPerubahan kurikulum seringakali terjadi mengikuti arah perkembangan teknologi serta kebutuhan dasar yang diinginkan dari kurikulum tersebut. Keberadaan kurikulum merdeka menjadi harapan baru untuk memberikan ruang yang lebih banyak bagi siswa untuk melakukan aktualisasi diri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan eksplorasi terkait tantangan dan strategi yang akan dihadapi berbagai stakeholder dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka di jenjang sekolah dasar (SD). Desain penelitian kualitatif dengan model studi kasus dilakukan untuk menjawab tujuan tersebut. Peneliti melakukan serangkaian wawancara dan observasi di 6 sekolah dasar yang ada di kota Bandung, kota Bogor dan kota Surakarta. Penelitian ini melibatkan pihak dinas, kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang lebih baik tentang implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kehadiran kurikulum merdeka disambut baik oleh seluruh lapisan pendidikan dalam penelitian ini. Hal tersebut digambarkan dengan sikap antusiasme seluruh responden untuk sama-sama mempelajari dan mengimplementasikan values kurikulum merdeka dalam proses pembelajaran. Tantangan terbesar dalam proses impelementasi kurikulum merdeka ini diantaranya berasal dari kesiapan guru sebagai pembawa perubahan di kelas, dukungan sekolah dalam memberikan fasilitas penunjang baik bersifat materil maupun non-materil, hingga keragaman siswa dalam suatu kelas. Sementara itu, cara terbaik yang dilakukan saat ini adalah terus bersama-sama mengoptimalkan sisi baik dari kurikulum merdeka ini, serta berusaha memperbaiki kekurangan yang mungkin dirasakan. Secara umum, keberadaan kurikulum merdeka ini menjadi tolak ukur baru tentang semakin berkembangnya proses pembelajaran yang terjadi di sekolah, sehingga bisa menjadi evaluasi bersama untuk terus mengembangkan potensi siswa yang ada.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate and test the scale of religious moderation which is created to measure condition of students’ religious moderation at the higher-education level. Quantitative research method of measuring construction model is used to create a psychological scale that measures students’ religion moderation. Purposive sampling techniques were conducted in this study and compiled 470 as active respondents. The results show that the scale of religious moderation made meets the experts validation and have discrimination power that meets the prerequisites of psychometric properties. The reliability coefficient of religious moderation scale is 0.804 (highly reliable) and confirmatory factor analysis shows that the scale meets the fit model as a good measuring instrument. This study provides religious moderation scale that can be used to identify religious moderation condition especially for students.Keywords: religious moderation; religious measurement; psychometric properties; religious moderation scale; religious tolerance.

Abstract

Only a few studies have examined the use of comprehensive variables in determining financial management behavior, though the model involves many other variables. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the locus of control as a mediator variable in the effect of financial attitude and knowledge, income, and spiritual intelligence on financial management behavior. It used a quantitative descriptive method and involved 391 respondents determined through convenience sampling. The results showed that financial attitude and spiritual intelligence significantly impact financial management behavior through locus of control. Whereas in the other two variables, namely financial knowledge, and income, the role of the mediator does not function effectively, so it does not have an indirect effect. These findings have implications for individuals to practice financial readiness in daily financial life. Abstract

Verbal aggression is rife among K-Pop fans who use social media to communicate. One of the things that causes verbal aggression behavior is the tendency of fanaticism due to excessive enthusiasm. In addition, excessive fanaticism makes a person deindividuated and unable to control himself. On the other hand, Indonesia is a country that applies religiosity as a guide for behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of fanaticism, self-control, and religiosity on verbal aggression behavior in K-Pop fan students in Bandung. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a significant influence either partially or simultaneously between fanaticism, self-control, and religiosity on verbal aggression. Subjects in this study amounted to 291 students with accidental sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 26 software. The results of this study indicate that there is a simultaneous influence of fanaticism, self-control, and religiosity on verbal aggression behavior with a contribution value of 41%, which suggests that the tendency of fanaticism is due to enthusiasm that controls excessive self-esteem, low self-control, and understanding of extrinsic religiosity through social media among diehard K-pop fans are significant factors in the occurrence of verbal aggression phenomena such as fan-wars.

Abstract

Students who continue their education abroad will be vulnerable to stress and other adaptation problems. Success in overcoming new pressures and situations, one of which is determined by the personality characteristics of each person. This research aims to determine the role of culture shock as a mediator of the relationship between the personality of the achiever and the challenger to the sojourner adjustment. Causality quantitative research design is used to answer this goal by involving research respondents, namely Pattani students who are Muslim and are studying in the city of Bandung. Saturated sampling technique was used to obtain the characteristics of the sample in the research so that as many as 225 respondents were involved in filling out the research questionnaire. The data collection method uses a Likert scale with data analysis using the SEM (Structural Equation Model) approach. Structural analysis shows that cultural shock plays an effective and significant role as a mediator variable in the relationship between the personality of the achiever and challenger to the sojourner adjustment.

Abstract

Self-regulation is a process whereby a person can manage the achievement of their actions, evaluate their success when achieving the target. The purpose of this research is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to determine the level of self-regulation in students. There are 41 items given to 459 active students who ever felt physically and emotionally exhausted during college. The method used in this research is quantitative method and reading literature. The sample in this study was obtained using a non-probably sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study obtained 16 items which became the final items with the Likert scaling model, supplemented by SPSS analysis. The self-regulated learning scale shows quite good validity 0,829, 0,712, dan 0,787 and reliability values 0.879. So that we get the development of measuring tools that are quite valid and reliable in measuring self-regulated learning in students.

Abstract

Research on academic integrity among final-year students preparing mini-theses is still limited in Indonesia, particularly in Islamic universities. Therefore, this research aimed to assess the influence of spirituality and supervisor support on academic integrity of final-year students at an Islamic university in Bandung. A correlational quantitative method was adopted focusing on the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Using a census method, data was collected from a total of 205 final-year students. The results showed that multiple regression analysis exhibited an F-value of 86.525 with a p-value < 0.05, implying the collective influence of spirituality and supervisor support on academic integrity by 46.1%. These observations showed that spirituality had a greater impact on academic integrity than supervisor support among participants. A detailed explanation of this research was provided in the subsequent sections.
