Abstract

This study, entitled "Analysis of Collection Preservation Implementation in School Libraries in two cities, Makassar and Kalimantan," aims to analyze the implementation of collection preservation in school libraries. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach that aims to describe various phenomena that occur in depth by emphasizing the characteristics, quality, and relationships between activities. Data sources in this study consist of primary data obtained directly from primary sources, as well as secondary data obtained through intermediaries. Data collection techniques used include observation, document review, and semi-structured interviews (in-depth interviews) using interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that preservation activities have been carried out in various forms, although still simple, such as book repairs, rebinding, providing covers, cleaning collections, and lamination in certain sections. In addition, some libraries have also implemented fumigation to prevent damage from mold and pests, although this is only done by a few schools. These conditions result in preservation activities not being carried out optimally and in a structured manner. Therefore, increased human resources, budget support, and adequate training are needed to ensure more effective and sustainable collection preservation activities.

Abstract

Scoliosis is a musculoskeletal disorder characterized by an abnormal curvature of the spine with a Cobb angle of ≥10°, and most often occurs in adolescents aged 10–18 years. Initial observations at SMK Bintara Rancaekek showed a low level of knowledge among eleventh-grade students regarding scoliosis, including signs and symptoms, risk factors, and prevention efforts. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of health education in improving students' knowledge about scoliosis through a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. Education was provided using presentation media, educational videos, leaflets, and a demonstration of the Adam's Forward Bend Test. The pretest results showed that students' knowledge was still low in various aspects, such as understanding the early signs of scoliosis (34.2%), risk factors (52.6%), and the function of physical examinations (15.8%). After being provided with education, there was a significant increase in knowledge in all indicators. Eighty percent of students were able to identify the type of idiopathic scoliosis, 72% understood the risk factors, 88% knew the Cobb angle criteria, and 92% understood the impact of severe scoliosis on the respiratory system. The improvement in posttest scores indicates that health education effectively increased students' understanding and awareness of scoliosis. Health education has been shown to be an important strategy in supporting the early detection and prevention of scoliosis in adolescents, thereby encouraging healthier postural behaviors in the school environment.

The application of biochar and water table at one month after planting on growth and yield of shallot. Jurnal Lahan Suboptimal: Journal of Suboptimal Lands. 8(2):202-212. The success of onion self-sufficiency is the arrangement and growth of production centers that are not only concentrated in Java. The research aimed to evaluate the effect of biochar application and water table treatment on growth and yield of shallot plant. The research was conducted in Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University at 2019. Materials used consisted of shallot bulb of Bima Brebes variety, oil palm shells biochar, paper bag, and plastic bag. While the tools used were hoe, gauge, pH meter, basin, scale, and oven. Factorial Randomized Block Design was used with two factors and three replicates. The first factor was biochar dosages consisting of P1 (51 g/plant) and P2 (102 g/plant) and the second factor was soil water table consisting of T0 (no water table treatment), T1 (10 cm of water table below soil surface), T2 (15 cm of water table below soil surface) and T3 (30 cm of water table below soil surface). The observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, tiller number, total bulb fresh weight, bulb fresh weight, bulb dry weight and root length. Results showed that the application of biochar and water table treatment statistically affected the growth and yield of shallot plant. The effect on both growth and yield parameters were obtained from the combination of P2T3. Correlation was found between plant height and leaf number, total bulb fresh weight and bulb fresh weight.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk 1) agar guru bimbingan dan konseling mampu melaksanakan PKC-KO ini kepada siswa, 2) agar generasi penerus bangsa yakni siswa memiliki karakter cerdas sesuai norma pancasila dan norma yang berlaku di masyarakat, 3) agar siswa mampu melaksanakan, menghayati, mengamalkan dan menaati norma pancasila dan norma yang berlaku di masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pegabdian kepada masayarakat ini adalah metode pelatihan dan penerapan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan buku saku PKC-KO sebagai pegangan dan panduan saat pelaksanaan kegiatan. Pelatihan dan penerapan ini dilaksanakan da dipandu oleh para dosen dan mahasiswa dari program studi bimbingan dan konseling, jurusan ilmu pendidikan fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan, universitas cenderawasih. Hasilnya diantaranya 1) luaran bagi peserta yang dicapai yaitu peningkatan pemahaman dan ketrampilan pelaksanaan layanan dalam bimbingan dan konseling khususnya dengan menggunakan layanan PKC-KO, 2) bagi tim pengabdi, luaran yang dicapai adalah draf modul yang dapat digunakan kedepan untuk pelatihan dan penerapan PKC-KO guru bimbingan dan konseling, dan 3) Publikasi pada media online, yaitu website Jurnal Cemerlang: Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian, Pengembangan, Pengabdian pada Masyarakat dan Kerjasama (LP4MK) STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

The digital era has transformed public sector accounting, offering opportunities to enhance the quality, transparency, and accountability of government financial reporting through technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data analytics, and cloud computing. Despite its potential, research gaps remain regarding the adoption and implementation of these technologies within the public sector. This study aims to examine the development of digital technology in government financial reporting, identify key challenges, and evaluate the impact of emerging technologies on accounting transformation. Using a qualitative approach, a systematic literature review was conducted covering studies published between 2020 and 2025 in Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect. Thematic analysis was employed to identify patterns and trends. The findings highlight that technology adoption enhances efficiency, participation, and accountability but faces barriers such as system incompatibility, limited technical capacity, regulatory misalignment, and organizational resistance. The study concludes that digital transformation creates a disruptive yet strategic opportunity for public sector accounting, requiring a gradual and holistic approach. Policy implications include the need for regulatory harmonization, sustainable infrastructure investment, capacity-building programs, and a clear roadmap for technology adoption. This research contributes to the literature by providing an integrated framework for understanding digital transformation in government financial reporting.
