Abstract

Students with dyslexia have difficulty reading so they are less able to understand learning material which has an impact on low academic, social and emotional scores. Based on these conditions, dyslexic students need counseling in dealing with these problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the description of the condition of dyslexic students and individual counseling for dyslexic children. The research method is to use a literature review. The results of the study obtained data that dyslexia is caused by neurological factors that cause deficits in the areas of working memory and auditory temporal memory of dyslexia. This condition causes less accuracy in reading in dyslexic children. Individual counseling in schools carried out by Guidance and Counseling teachers can develop coping strategies to reduce the impact of stigma and difficulties on the learning process.

Abstract

Indonesia has a high commitment in organizing inclusive education, but there are several problems in inclusive schools, namely children with special needs often feel isolated in their classes, get bullied by their peers, and they are not socially integrated. The purpose of this study is to analyze aspects of students' social skills to improve social inclusion in schools, so that children with special needs get good acceptance by their peers and academically have meaningful learning. Based on the results of the literature study review, the aspects of social skills that students need to have in improving social inclusion are (1) students' social interaction skills with their friends who have special needs, (2) students' social awareness of their differences with their friends who have special needs, (3) students' emotional control in dealing with their friends who have special needs, and (4) students' participation skills to be able to involve their friends who have special needs in the peer group social structure. It is hoped that by developing these aspects of social skills, it can improve social inclusion in schools, so that students with special needs can be integrated both socially and academically.

Abstract

Well-being can affect a person's mental health, this is because the positive emotions produced will make their mental condition better. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of attachment on the psychological well-being of adolescents with divorced parents. The research method used is literature study, with research subjects being teenage students with divorced parents. Based on the results of a literature review, teenagers with divorced parents tend to have low psychological well-being due to a lack of parental attachment, which causes teenagers to have insecure attachment. Insecure attachment is related to a high aspect of alienation, which is indicated by difficulty accepting oneself, difficulty accepting situations, feelings of being unwanted and unneeded, and fear of building relationships with other people. This is because they lose their main attachment figure, namely their parents. So teenagers also tend to feel sad, lonely, embarrassed, sensitive, have low self-esteem and withdraw from the environment. However, if teenagers have peer attachment, they can minimize the impact of divorce on low psychological well-being. This is because peer attachment functions as a source of psychological security for teenagers because they receive affection from their peers, apart from that it provides an experience of mutual trust and openness in communication which gives teenagers a new space to get positive affection.
