Abstract

Background: Optimal healthcare services at community health centers require effective logistic management to ensure adequate availability of medical devices. At Puskesmas X, there are several issues related to the availability and management of medical devices that affect the quality of healthcare services. This study aims to analyze the logistic management of medical devices at Puskesmas X as a basis for planning a logistic management improvement program. Method: This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with community health center staff and direct observation at the research site. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. Results: The results show that the logistic management of medical devices at Puskesmas X is not yet optimal. There are deficiencies in planning, procurement, and storage of medical devices, as well as frequent delays in reporting. The main factors influencing this are the frequent turnover of goods treasurers and the lack of training for logistics staff. Conclusion: Improvements in the logistic management of medical devices at Puskesmas X are needed through enhancements in planning, procurement, and storage systems, as well as training for logistics staff to ensure adequate availability of medical devices and improved quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

More than two billion people are expected to lack of essential vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin A, iodine, iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn). Research showed positive effect of zinc supplementation on children's growth, morbidity and mortality in diarrhea and pneumonia. Zinc plays an important role in the structure and function of the brain; and zinc deficiency also has negative impact the development of cognitive functions such as attention and memory. This paper aims to determine the effect of zinc deficiency on memory in school-age children in the district of Klaten. The study used was description of analytic with quantitative approach by using cross-sectional design. The experiment was conducted in some elementaryschools (SD) in the district of Klaten. The study population was the students from 9-12 age groups in the elementary schools, which in accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study employed purposive sampling technique to represent the elementary schools of villages and towns. The determination of the samples was done by PASS softwareand the number of sample was 60. The data were analyzed by using univariable and bivariable by statistical test t-test with 95% confidence intervals. The findings showed that children with zinc deficiency had the average value of 6.1 short-term memory with SD 1.3, whereas children with normal zinc levels had the average value of 10.7 and SD 3.1. The mean difference of -4.6 with 95 % CI (-6.98 - (-2.14) and a value of p = 0.0004 or p < 0.05. The average value of long-term memory of children with zinc deficiency was 7.8 with SD 3.0, whereas the average value of children with normal zinc levels was 8.4 and SD 3.2. The difference of the mean was -0.57 with 95 % CI (-3.16 - 2.01) and a value of p = 0.658 or p > 0.05. To conclude, the average scores value of short-term memory in children with zinc deficiency was lower than the short-term memory scores in children with normal zinc levels. The average scores value of long-term memory in children with zinc deficiency was equal to the children with normal zinc levels.

Abstract

Pekerja migran merupakan kelompok populasi yang rentan terhadap berbagai permasalahan kesehatan akibat interaksi kompleks antara faktor individu, pekerjaan, lingkungan kerja, psikososial, serta keterbatasan akses terhadap layanan kesehatan di negara tujuan. Karakteristik pekerjaan yang didominasi sektor berisiko tinggi, beban kerja berat, jam kerja panjang, serta kondisi sosial dan hukum yang tidak selalu mendukung semakin meningkatkan kerentanan kesehatan pekerja migran. Meskipun berbagai penelitian telah mengkaji kesehatan pekerja migran dari beragam perspektif, bukti ilmiah yang tersedia masih tersebar, heterogen, dan belum terpetakan secara sistematis. Oleh karena itu, scoping review ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan pekerja migran berdasarkan bukti ilmiah yang tersedia. Metode yang digunakan mengikuti kerangka Arksey dan O’Malley yang disempurnakan oleh Levac et al. (2010). Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada basis data PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, dan Google Scholar terhadap artikel yang diterbitkan dalam kurun waktu 2015–2025. Kriteria inklusi mencakup studi dengan desain kuantitatif, kualitatif, dan mixed methods yang membahas determinan kesehatan pekerja migran. Hasil penelusuran menunjukkan bahwa sepuluh artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Temuan utama mengelompokkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan pekerja migran ke dalam lima tema utama, yaitu faktor individu, faktor pekerjaan dan lingkungan kerja, faktor psikososial, akses terhadap layanan kesehatan, serta faktor sosial dan kebijakan. Kesimpulan dari scoping review ini menunjukkan bahwa kesehatan pekerja migran dipengaruhi oleh faktor multidimensional yang saling berinteraksi, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan kebijakan dan intervensi kesehatan yang komprehensif, lintas sektor, dan berorientasi pada perlindungan serta peningkatan kesejahteraan pekerja migran secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Puberty is an important phase in adolescent development characterized by changes in the physical, emotional, and functional of the reproductive organs. However, the limited knowledge of students about reproductive health is still a problem, mainly due to traditional learning methods that are less interesting and interactive. This research aims to improve students' understanding of reproductive health through innovative educational and interactive learning media at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Pontianak. Method the used is community service with a participatory approach through observation, interviews, as well as pre-tests and post-tests for students in grades VII and VIII. The material is delivered using interactive media such as educational videos, games, and open discussions to create a fun learning atmosphere and facilitate students in understanding sensitive material without embarrassment. Results The showed a significant improvement in student understanding, with the change in the category from "Less" to "Good" and "Very Good" after the activity was implemented. In addition to increasing knowledge, there has also been a shift in students' positive attitudes in responding to reproductive health issues. They become more confident and open in discussions, both with teachers and health workers. In conclusion, educational and interactive learning media have proven to be effective in improving students' understanding of reproductive health during puberty. This activity is recommended to be integrated into the curriculum and extended to other schools, with training for teachers and parental involvement so that the results are more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

Stunting adalah kondisi dimana pertumbuhan fisik anak tidak optimal sebagai akibat dari ketidakseimbangan gizi atau kekurangan gizi kronis. Salah satu faktor yang berperan adalah pengetahuan ibu tentang stunting relatif rendah secara nasional maupun di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Monterado. Posisi ibu sebagai sasaran kunci dalam program intervensi gizi spesifik maupun sensitif menjadi krusial dalam pencegahan kejadian stunting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu dengan kejadian stunting di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Monterado. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah hitung sampel dengan rumus slovin sebanyak 93 responden yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan ibu dan instrumen antropometri gizi dengan satandar WHO. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Correlation Spearman Rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan ibu dengan kejadian stunting dengan p Value 0.020 (p < α = 0,05) dan r = −0,235. Kesimpulan dari penlitian ini adalah semakin baik pengetahuan ibu, maka kecenderungan kejadian stunting pada balita semakin rendah. Kata kunci: Balita; Ibu; Pengetahuan; Stunting

Abstract

Background: Adolescents present a highly strategic target group for early stunting interventions through schools and the School Health Unit (UKS), which can facilitate health education, provide service facilities, and reinforce Islamic character. However, many schools lack adequate UKS facilities, which must be addressed to optimize stunting prevention and improve adolescent health. Objective of the Intervention: The intervention aims to enhance knowledge, skills, and spiritual identity by using a UKS approach that integrates health education and UKS training with Islamic and Muhammadiyah values. Methods:The methods employed include a talk show “Islamic Adolescents Prevent Stunting” and UKS cadre training for students and teachers. Results:The intervention led to an average increase in knowledge of 39.4%, with the proportion of students demonstrating good knowledge rising from 47.4% to 86.8%, and students acquiring practical skills such as measuring body weight and height, providing first aid during accidents, and administering basic treatments. The integration of an Islamic dimension strengthened internal motivation and character development among students. Conclusion: The UKS effectively transforms knowledge into healthy lifestyle practices and holds significant potential for long-term stunting reduction.

Abstract

Adherence to antihypertensive medication is a key determinant of successful blood pressure control and the prevention of cardiovascular complications. However, empirical evidence indicates that medication adherence among patients with hypertension remains suboptimal. Therefore, a comprehensive and theory-based approach is required to better understand the factors influencing adherence behavior. This study aimed to map and synthesize scientific evidence on factors influencing adherence to antihypertensive medication based on the Health Promotion Model (HPM). This study employed a systematic scoping review design following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines. Relevant articles published between 2020 and 2025 were systematically selected according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings revealed that key HPM constructs significantly associated with adherence to antihypertensive medication included perceived benefits, self-efficacy, perceived barriers, and interpersonal influences. Among these constructs, perceived benefits and self-efficacy were the most consistently and strongly reported determinants across the reviewed studies. The Health Promotion Model is a relevant and applicable theoretical framework for understanding and improving adherence to antihypertensive medication through promotive and preventive nursing interventions.

Abstract

Transformasi sistem kesehatan Indonesia mendorong penerapan Integrasi Pelayanan Kesehatan Primer (ILP) dengan Posyandu sebagai simpul layanan berbasis siklus hidup. Keberhasilan ILP sangat dipengaruhi oleh kinerja kader Posyandu yang menjalankan tugas sebelum, saat dan sesudah hari buka Posyandu (penggerak, penyuluh, pencatat/pelapor, dan pendamping). Tujuan: Memetakan bukti terkini (2023–2026) tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi tugas/kinerja kader Posyandu dalam mendukung ILP di Puskesmas. Metode: Scoping review mengikuti kerangka Arksey & O’Malley yang diperkaya Levac serta panduan JBI, dan dilaporkan berdasarkan PRISMA-ScR. Penelusuran dilakukan pada PubMed, DOAJ, GARUDA/SINTA, dan Google Scholar (Januari 2026) menggunakan kata kunci Indonesia Inggris terkait ‘kader’, ‘Posyandu’, dan ‘Integrasi Layanan Primer/primary health care integration’. Kriteria inklusi: artikel 2023–2026, konteks Indonesia (dan bukti global pendukung), membahas faktor determinan tugas/kinerja/keaktifan/kesiapan kader dalam layanan Posyandu/ILP. Hasil: Dari 160 rekaman, 15 studi dimasukkan. Faktor yang konsisten berhubungan dengan tugas/kinerja kader meliputi pengetahuan dan literasi program, pelatihan/pendampingan, motivasi dan insentif, dukungan tenaga kesehatan/supervisi, ketersediaan alat dan sistem pencatatan pelaporan (termasuk digital), serta dukungan sosial dan partisipasi masyarakat. Hambatan utama mencakup beban kerja, keterbatasan waktu, keterampilan pencatatan, dan variasi implementasi ILP lintas wilayah. Kesimpulan: Penguatan tugas kader untuk ILP membutuhkan paket intervensi yang menautkan peningkatan kapasitas (pelatihan, coaching), penguatan sistem (SIP, logistik, alur rujukan), dan tata kelola dukungan (supervisi, insentif, pengakuan) yang kontekstual di tingkat Puskesmas.

Abstract

Introduction: Accurate assessment of stroke severity is a critical component of nursing care. The NIHSS and CNS are standardized neurological instruments commonly used to evaluate stroke severity. Integrating NIHSS and CNS with the Indonesian nursing diagnosis standard (SDKI) offers practical benefits for nurses, as SDKI is tailored to the conditions of patients in Indonesia. Objective : The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of combining NIHSS and CNS severity assessments with SDKI in improving the accuracy of nursing diagnoses and determining stroke severity in patients. Methods: The research design used was Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT), single blind. The sample consisted of 55 stroke patients admitted to the neurological care unit using probability sampling technique with a simple random sampling approach, where sampling was carried out in accordance with predetermined inclusion criteria: non hemorrhagic stroke patients, respondents' age 18 years, and willing to become research subjects. Assessment of severity was carried out using the NIHSS and CNS instruments, which were combined with the SDKI to determine nursing diagnoses. Assessment was carried out for 5 days of patient care. Results: Mann-Whitney test analysis in the NIHSS group and CNS group showed a p-value (0.05), meaning that there was no difference between the application of NIHSS and CNS assessment on determining the degree of severity and the number of nursing diagnoses in stroke patients. Conclusions: This study shows that both NIHSS-SDKI and CNS-SDKI are effective in detecting changes in the clinical condition of stroke patients from day one to day five.
