Abstract

Nowadays people are increasingly inclined to buy motorized vehicles because in addition to a light down payment, finance companies also provide convenience for the public in purchasing motorized vehicles. Even though the income level of the people in Indonesia is still relatively low, with a low down payment, the people are not too concerned about it. Honda showrooms carry out various forms of promotion and marketing so that the vehicles they sell get a response from consumers so they want to buy them. However, in fact there are still many forms of promotion that are not appropriate for consumers, so that in the motor vehicle loan process there are often obstacles caused by various factors. This study aims to create an analyst that can later be applied to computer systems, so that it can be said that by testing the system based on existing criteria, it will provide a definite answer in determining the creditworthiness of motorcycles to consumers.

Abstract

Research on virtual laboratories has shown significant growth but is still scattered across disciplines and approaches. This condition indicates the need for systematic mapping in the context of vocational education to understand the development and direction of current research. This study aims to analyze international publications related to virtual laboratories in vocational education, covering research trends, highest citations, leading countries, and relevant publication sources. A quantitative approach with bibliometric analysis was used on 163 of the Scopus database from 2010 - 2024. Data were collected using the keywords "virtual laboratory" and "vocational education." Data analysis was carried out using Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer to visualize the research findings. The results showed that the publication trend fluctuated annually but tended to increase. Journal of Physics: Conference Series, publication of Potkonjak, and Spain were identified as the most influential countries. Co-occurrence analysis revealed major clusters such as e-learning, engineering education, virtual laboratories, and students. Overlay visualization shows a shift in focus from distance learning to a more interactive and contextual technology-based pedagogical approach in vocational education. These findings provide implications for research collaboration, pedagogical integration, and the development of immersive virtual laboratories in vocational education.

Abstract

Arabic language learning at Muhammadiyah Vocational School in Batam City faces several challenges: the perception of Arabic as a difficult subject, students’ anxiety in learning Arabic, ineffective classroom management, unstructured listening practice, and varying levels of learning motivation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the contribution of listening skills and learning motivation, both partially and simultaneously, to the Arabic learning outcomes of students at Muhammadiyah Vocational School in Batam City. Using a quantitative descriptive-correlational design with a sample of 132 tenth-grade students, learning outcomes data were obtained through tests, while listening skills and learning motivation were measured using questionnaires; analysis was conducted through correlation and multiple regression (SPSS). The results show that listening skills contributed positively to learning outcomes with a determination coefficient of 11.9% (effective contribution = 9.12%; relative contribution = 37.23%), learning motivation contributed 41.9% (effective contribution = 38.71%; relative contribution = 62.74%), and simultaneously both contributed 44.8% to Arabic learning outcomes. Practically, strengthening structured listening practices (authentic oral input, periodic assessments) and motivational interventions (goal setting, formative feedback, varied methods) are recommended to improve performance; socially, enhancing listening literacy and motivation is expected to foster a more focused, diligent, and collaborative academic culture within the vocational school environment. This study provides added value by integrating the analysis of the foundational role of listening skills and the psychological factor of motivation in Arabic learning within the vocational context, and by presenting estimates of both partial and simultaneous contributions as a basis for designing policies and teaching strategies

Abstract

The persistent misalignment between curriculum design, competency standards, and evolving industry requirements remains a critical challenge in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Existing curriculum practices are largely static and insufficiently integrated with structured career pathways, resulting in skill mismatches and limited workforce readiness. This study proposes an intelligent curriculum management and career development framework integrating competency standards with AI-enabled decision support. A Design Science Research (DSR) methodology was employed through problem identification, framework design, demonstration, and evaluation. The framework was validated using a three-round Delphi study with TVET and curriculum experts and an empirical case study in an Indonesian TVET institution offering Information and Communication Technology (ICT) programmes based on curriculum documents and SKKNI competency standards. Performance was evaluated using alignment accuracy, relevance, and usability indicators. The results show that curriculum–competency alignment accuracy improved from **68.40%** to **91.20%**, while the framework identified four missing competencies and three redundant curriculum units. Career pathways aligned with industry roles achieved expert consensus exceeding **85.00%**. The proposed framework provides an adaptive, AI-enabled approach for data-driven curriculum governance, competency alignment, and career pathway planning, offering a replicable model for competency-based curriculum development in TVET

Abstract

The soft skills competencies needed in the industrial revolution 4.0 era on the 21st century are critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration or known as 4Cs Skills. This study aims at revealing a teaching activity that can develop and improve the 4Cs skills of vocational education students. This research was a quantitative study using a survey method. The research instrument used a questionnaire of the lecturers' statements about teaching activities carried out by educators to improve or develop the 4Cs skills of vocational education students. The respondents in this study were 403 educators that consisting of 200 educators from Universitas Negeri Padang (Indonesia) and 203 educators from Universiti Tun Hussein on Malaysia (Malaysia). Based on the research findings, it was found that the teaching activity that was most often carried out or appeared with a high percentage in improving students' 4Cs skills was problem solving to improve critical thinking skills, debate to improve communication skills, peer partner learning to improve collaboration skills and finally mind mapping to improve creative skills. Based on the results of this study, lecturers in the implementation of learning need to condition learning activities that can develop students' 4Cs skills, so that the competencies possessed are in accordance with the needs of the developing industry in this 21st century.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of failover load balancing on a sensor-based and visual river monitoring web server using the Round Robin and Least Connection algorithms. The system is designed to distribute user requests across multiple backend servers to ensure the service remains stable, responsive, and available in real time. River monitoring data is obtained from sensors and visual cameras and then presented through a web service. Testing was conducted by comparing the performance of the two algorithms based on response time, throughput, availability, downtime, and failover recovery time. The results show that Round Robin is able to distribute requests evenly but is less adaptive to changes in server load. Least Connection provides better performance because it directs requests to the server with the fewest active connections. The failover mechanism also successfully maintains service continuity when one of the servers experiences a failure. Therefore, Least Connection is recommended for river monitoring systems that require high availability and low response time. Keywords: load balancing, failover, Round Robin, Least Connection, web server, river monitoring. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan kinerja kedua algoritma berdasarkan response time, throughput, availability, downtime, dan failover recovery time.
