Abstract

Many innovations in the retail sector are closely related to digitalization and technological advances. The value of sales data is increasing as a resource for businesses in today's digital era. Sales data consists of details about the items sold, the clients they serve, sales patterns, and other elements that influence how well a business operates. However, effectively handling and understanding vast and complex sales data can be difficult and confusing. So with this problem the author will determine the annual sales level of the products that are most widely marketed by applying Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and the K-Means Clustering Algorithm, the method used is to determine the sales level based on the attributes used, the sales level will later be divided into 3, namely clusters 1 is high, cluster 2 is medium and cluster 3 is low. Based on the results of the EDA and K-Means methods, the results of a sales comparison for 4 years have a average value, indicating that sales in 2019 have large average values between 2020, 2021 and 2022. From the visualization results it can be concluded that there are 27 products in the cluster-1 category, 10 products in the cluster-2 category, and 5 products in the cluster-3 category.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a website-based tourism management information system in Bahorok District as a solution to the problem of tourism data management that is still carried out manually and has not been digitally integrated. The approach used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Rapid Application Development (RAD) system development model, as well as applying the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) to ensure the quality of the system from the design stage to implementation. The RAD method allows system development to be carried out quickly and flexibly through an iterative process that directly involves users in refining the design and functionality of the system. The development stages start from needs analysis, quick design, prototype development, system testing, to implementation. The developed system includes key features such as Home Page, Tour Page, Information Page, About Page, as well as admin features for Manage Tour Data and Manage Reviews. The system test was carried out through functionality tests, usability tests, and security tests, with results showing that the system functions optimally, is easy to use, and is able to improve the efficiency of management and access to tourist information by the public. The implementation of TQM can be seen from the active involvement of users in the development process, validation of the system based on real needs, and a focus on continuous improvement of the quality of the system's display and services. The final results of the study show that the information system built successfully achieved the research goal, which is to provide an informative, interactive, and support effective tourism management and promotion. This research also contributes to the application of quality management in the development of public sector information systems and can be a reference for similar developments in other regions or sectors.

Abstract

This study applied the Naïve Bayes algorithm to predict student learning outcomes in the Basic Computer and Network Engineering subject at SMKN 1 Sipispis. A quantitative approach was employed, using data from 311 students, which consisted of both academic variables (assignments, midterm exams, and final exams) and non-academic variables (attendance, attitude, and learning interest). The dataset was preprocessed by cleaning, encoding, and splitting into training and testing sets using several ratios (90/10, 80/20, 70/30, and 60/40). The Naïve Bayes model was trained and evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The best performance was achieved with the 80/20 data split, yielding an accuracy of 74.6%, demonstrating the model’s ability to capture probabilistic relationships between academic and non-academic factors. These findings indicate that the Naïve Bayes algorithm can effectively classify student performance levels such as Fair, Good, and Excellent, providing a reliable foundation for an automated decision support system. The developed web-based system can help teachers identify students at risk of declining performance early, enabling more adaptive and data-driven educational interventions

Abstract

PT. Keloria Moringa Jaya, based in Medan, North Sumatra, is engaged in the processing and distribution of products made from moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera). The company is still constrained by the lack of an organized sales recording system, making it difficult to monitor performance, analyze trends, evaluate marketing strategies, and make the right business decisions. This study aims to apply the exponential smoothing method in the sales forecasting information system at PT. Keloria Moringa Jaya. This method is used to forecast product sales based on the company's historical data. The sales data used covers the period from May 2024 to April 2025 with a total of 12 monthly data. The system was developed using the Laravel framework and is equipped with features for inputting product data, sales data, and alpha parameter data, as well as displaying the forecast results and their accuracy values. The test results show that the MAD, MSE, and MAPE values for all products are in the accurate category. This research provides practical contributions to the company in supporting more efficient production decision-making and sales strategies.

Abstract

Biro Kesejahteraan Rakyat Kantor Gubernur Sumatera Utara merupakan instansi yang bertanggung jawab mengelola proposal bantuan sosial APBD (Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah) & P.APBD (Perubahan Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah). Dalam prosesnya, terdapat banyak dokumentasi dan data yang harus disimpan dan diproses secara efisien. Saat ini, proses pendataan dan pengelolaan masih dilakukan secara manual, yang dianggap tidak efisien dan kompleks mengingat banyaknya jumlah proposal. Pendataan manual juga dapat mengakibatkan keterlambatan dalam pembuatan laporan. Untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas dalam pengelolaan proposal , maka dikembangkan sebuah sistem informasi manajemen berbasis web. Sistem informasi ini akan memiliki fungsi utama untuk mengelola data proposal, melakukan pencarian data, melakukan seleksi calon penerima, menghasilkan laporan statistik, dan mengirimkan notifikasi kepada pemohon. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode pengembangan Waterfall. Bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan adalah PHP dengan database MySQL. Sistem informasi manajemen proposal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas, memperlancar proses verifikasi data, dan membantu Biro Kesejahteraan Rakyat dalam menghasilkan laporan terkait program bantuan sosial secara akurat.

Abstract

Employee attendance plays an important role in maintaining discipline and supporting work effectiveness. However, manual and fingerprint-based attendance systems still face several challenges, such as the possibility of proxy attendance, long queues during check-in hours, and difficulties in data recap. To address these issues, this study designs a web-based attendance information system equipped with GPS location validation and photo capture as proof of attendance. The research was conducted at PT XYZ using the Waterfall development method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies to formulate system requirements. The system design was modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML), including use case diagrams and activity diagrams, which illustrate the interaction flows between employees and administrators. The implementation results show that the system successfully validates attendance location, stores photos as visual evidence, and facilitates administrators in managing employee and location data. Testing using the Black Box method confirmed that all functions operated as expected. Thus, the system improves the validity of attendance data, reduces fraud, and supports administrative efficiency within the company.

Abstract

The development of information technology is driving the banking sector to shift from manual systems to digital systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in credit management. This digital transformation has become a crucial need due to the increasing number of customers and the complexity of the credit assessment process that must be carried out by banking institutions. PT. Bank Sumut Binjai Branch still applies manual determination of customer credit status, which has the potential to cause process delays, assessment errors, and inconsistencies in decision-making. This condition can impact the quality of service and credit risk faced by the bank. This study aims to design a Rule-Based Credit Information System that is able to determine customer credit status automatically based on predetermined rules. This system is designed to be able to process customer data systematically according to applicable criteria. The method used is a Rule-Based System which includes the stages of knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, application of inference engines, and system evaluation. Data collection was carried out through interviews with credit officers and relevant literature studies as a basis for compiling system rules. The system design is modeled using Unified Modeling Language (UML) which is represented through Use Case Diagrams to illustrate the interaction between users and the system. The designed system is expected to assist credit officers in determining customer status quickly, accurately, objectively, and consistently, as well as increase the effectiveness of the credit decision-making process at PT. Bank Sumut Binjai Branch.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has highlighted the limitations of manual check application and ordering processes, which remain time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient. Such conditions may hinder the bank’s operational performance and negatively impact service quality for customers. To address these issues, an automated system that simplifies, accelerates, and streamlines check ordering is required. Therefore, this study aims to design a rule-based digital check ordering web system for Bank Sumut KCP Binjai, enabling a faster, more accurate, and well-structured application process. The proposed system automates each step of the check ordering workflow based on predefined rules, including data verification, request processing, and order recording. A rule-based approach ensures consistent operations aligned with standard procedures, reducing reliance on manual tasks and minimizing the risk of human error. Additionally, the system is designed to improve data accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and facilitate efficient information management related to check orders. The main objective of this research is to develop an effective and efficient rule-based web system that supports digital check ordering processes. With the implementation of this system, banking services are expected to become faster, more accurate, and more aligned with sustainable digital transformation efforts, ultimately improving overall customer satisfaction and operational reliability.

Abstract

Health services are closely related to queuing processes that directly affect service efficiency and patient comfort. At Julok Public Health Center, the queuing system is still conducted manually, resulting in long waiting times, overcrowding, and reduced service quality. This study aims to develop and implement a web-based queue information system using the Multi Channel–Single Phase model to improve the efficiency and quality of public health services. The research method applied is Research and Development (R&D) with a waterfall-based system development approach. The results indicate that the implemented system supports online registration, real-time queue monitoring, and queue data management, which contribute to reducing patient waiting time, improving service efficiency, and enhancing patient convenience. Therefore, the developed system provides a positive contribution to improving the quality of primary healthcare services.

Abstract

Komputer membantu dan mempermudah siswa dalam melakukan berbagai aktivitas termasuk dalam hal desain untuk menghasilkan berbagai produk seperti majalah dinding, flyer, kartu nama, dan sebagainya. Siswa SMA Swasta Nurani Belawan sudah pernah menggunakan aplikasi komputer seperti Paint, Microsoft Office Word dan Power Point, namun belum pernah menggunakan Microsoft Office Publisher. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kreatifitas siswa dengan memberikan contoh – contoh desain flyer dan kartu nama menggunakan Microsoft Office Publisher. Hasil capaian kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah siswa/i diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penggunaan aplikasi komputer serta menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu, diharapkan siswa/i dapat meningkatkan kreativitasnya dan menuangkannya dalam ide-ide desain.
