Abstract

Pembelajaran abad ke-21 membutuhkan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan keterampilan belajar. Keterampilan belajar yang harus dikuasai adalah literasi digital dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Keterampilan tersebut penting dikuasai untuk mengatasi tantangan era digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan penguasaan literasi digital dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada pelajaran biologi SMA negeri di Kecamatan Pauh Kota Padang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 159 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa angket literasi digital dan soal esai keterampilan berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa masing-masing berada pada kategori sedang yaitu 68% dan 65%. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara literasi digital dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan literasi digital dan keterampilan berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Biology learning currently faces challenges in the form of complex material, abstract concepts, and difficult-to-understand language, which impacts students' low learning motivation. This study aims to examine the impact of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) on students' learning motivation in biology education through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data were obtained from the Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and ERIC databases, using the keywords "artificial intelligence," "AI," and "learning motivation" in publications from 2020–2025. Five main articles were analysed and showed that the application of AI consistently has a positive impact on students' learning motivation. The findings show a 75% increase in learning motivation, a significant relationship between AI usage and learning motivation (r = 0.969; p = 0.000), as well as improved learning outcomes. AI contributes through personalised learning, immediate feedback, extensive information access, and more engaging interactions. Chatbots and applications like ChatGPT have proven effective in increasing student engagement and understanding of the material. Overall, the use of AI in biology education can enhance student learning motivation and serve as a potential solution to current biology education challenges.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an electronic learning module oriented towards a contextual approach to valid biological technology innovation material. This research is development research using the ADDIE development model developed by Branch (2009). This research was carried out to the development stage, namely to the expert validation step, involving 2 lecturers as validators. The instrument used is a product validity test instrument. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the research conducted, a product has been produced in the form of an electronic learning module oriented towards a contextual approach to Biological Technology Innovation material. The validity test results with an average value of 88.54% meet the valid criteria. The research concluded that the electronic learning module oriented towards a contextual approach to Biological Technology Innovation material was valid.

Abstract

The Emaze learning media is a presentation tool that can be accessed through a computer or smartphone connected to the internet for usage. The aim of this research is to produce an interactive learning media using the Emaze application on the ecosystem material for students in class X Fase E at SMAN 1 Luhak Nan Duo that is valid and practical. The research type used is development, commonly known as R&D (Research and Development). The research sample is the class X Fase E at SMAN 1 Luhak Nan Duo. The data from the research were analyzed using qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The research results indicate that students agree with the development of learning media using the Emaze application, and 0% of students strongly disagree with the development of learning media using the Emaze application.

Abstract

ThisPstudy waspconducted to determineethe extent to whichhthe use of Gemini AI in designing biology projects can influence student creativity in project-based learningm(PBL) at the highsschool level. Theeresearch method used was a quasi-experimentalmmodel with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The study population was all students of grade X PhasmE at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. The sample consisted of two classes: X.E1 as the control group with 36 students, and X.E3 as the experimental group with 35 students. The research instrument was a creativity questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test and obtained a significanceevalue of 0.02 which isssmaller than 0.05, indicating a significant difference between groups. In conclusion, the useeof Gemini AIlin the planning stage of biology projects has beenpproven topsignificantly increase student creativity.

Abstract

This development research was conducted based on the difficulties faced by teachers. The aim of this research is to produce an e-LKPD that is valid, practical, effective, and appealing for students in the subject of plant tissues. The applied learning model is expected to assist teachers in creating engaging learning media. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method as its research methodology. This involves selecting each relevant journal or prior study and compiling their results as references for the model or idea to be developed. The study involves collecting information and data from reliable sources such as international scientific journals, seminar proceedings, research reports, and reference books. The data in this research consists of a literature review of previous studies sourced from journals published between 2020 and 2024. From several scientific articles that were examined and compared, it can be concluded that several studies using simulation models in their learning processes have been successfully implemented and applied to both students and teachers, at the elementary school and vocational high school levels.

Abstract

The increase in cardiovascular disease cases in productive age is related to the low awareness of adolescents in maintaining health. Learning in schools has the potential to instill an understanding of preventive values, but based on the findings of learning media that are generally utilized, it has not optimally contained these values. The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated booklet of cardiovascular health preventive values for Phase F high school students that is valid and practical. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with reference to the initial three stages in the 4-D development model. The subjects involved in this study consisted of two lecturers of Biology FMIPA UNP, two Biology teachers, and 31 students of SMAN 1 Batusangkar. The object of the research is a booklet integrated with preventive value of cardiovascular health. The main data in the study were obtained directly through interview sheets, needs analysis questionnaires, knowledge questionnaires, validity questionnaires, and practicality questionnaires. The data were analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of data analysis showed a validity percentage of 91.78% (very valid) and a practicality percentage of 95.31% (very practical) by teachers and 90.31% (very practical) by students.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of using SUNO AI as a music-based learning medium on students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the topic of biological classification. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design, involving two grade X classes at SMA Negeri 1 Baso, namely X E2 as the experimental class and X E4 as the control class. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 items with a maximum score of 100. The findings revealed that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 75.5, higher than the control class which scored 56.9. These results indicate that SUNO AI can enhance students’ concentration, memory, motivation, and understanding of biological concepts, in line with various learning theories that emphasize the effectiveness of music-based media in supporting the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for developing an augmented reality-assisted booklet on viruses for high school students with diverse learning styles. The methods used are descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. Data were collected through interviews with teachers, distributing learning style identification questionnaires, and analyzing student needs. The results showed that 84.8% of students experienced difficulties in understanding the virus material. These difficulties were caused by the abstract and complex nature of the material (38.1%) and the difficulty in relating the material to everyday life (29.5%). In addition, students wanted learning materials that were interesting and efficient (60%), utilized technology in learning (43.8%), and were able to support various learning styles. The results of this study are very necessary and serve as the basis for developing an augmented reality-assisted booklet on viruses for high school students with diverse learning styles.

Abstract

Biology learning in high school still faces challenges in achieving optimal learning outcomes, especially in complex materials such as the circulatory system. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) cooperative learning model equipped with Quizizz on student learning outcomes in circulatory system material. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using Kurt Lewin's model with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted at SMAN 2 Batusangkar in November 2024 with 34 students of class XI.F3 as research subjects. Data analysis techniques used descriptive quantitative analysis to measure the improvement of learning outcomes from pre-cycle to cycle II. The results showed significant improvement in cognitive aspects with average scores increasing from 61.6 (pre-cycle) to 74.7 (cycle I) and 88 (cycle II), and learning completeness increased from 14.71% to 97.06%. The attitude aspect also improved from 35.1% (pre-cycle) to 86.4% (cycle II). The combination of CIRC model with Quizizz platform proved effective in creating active, collaborative, and meaningful learning in improving students' understanding of biology concepts and positive attitudes.
