Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of Pancasila values through the traditional game Pecah Piring as a reflective pedagogical approach in Civic Education at the junior high school level. The background of this study stems from the weak practice of Pancasila values among students, as well as the dominance of cognitive and theoretical learning in Civic Education. The research used a qualitative approach with a reflective study design. Data were collected through learning observations, student reflection journals, and teacher field notes, then analysed using reflective thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the Pecah Piring game not only creates a fun and participatory learning experience, but also facilitates the process of internalising Pancasila values. Student reflections show a shift from mere involvement in play to an awareness of values, such as honesty and religiosity, discipline and justice, solidarity and cooperation, deliberation and democracy, as well as responsibility and sportsmanship. These findings confirm that traditional games can function as an effective experience-based learning medium in connecting local wisdom with civic education. The novelty of this research lies in the interpretation of traditional games as a reflective pedagogical strategy to strengthen the internalisation of Pancasila values in learning.

Abstract

The post-truth era, characterized by the massive spread of misinformation and the dominance of opinion, demands a reorientation of the paradigm in the teaching of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn). This research aims to formulate adaptive and innovative instructional strategies to enhance students' digital citizenship competencies in the post-truth era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research design that analyzes national and international academic literature published between 2016 and 2026. Data collection utilizes online literature databases, which are then qualitatively analyzed using content analysis techniques. The study results indicate that PPKn must comprehensively instill five elements of digital citizenship competence, namely: digital identity, privacy and security management, rights and responsibilities, participatory engagement, and technology skills development. To realize this, the integration of these competencies is recommended thru innovative pedagogical strategies that include project-based learning oriented toward digital action, case-based methods to dissect ethical dilemmas, and character habituation in digital citizenship within a collaborative ecosystem. In conclusion, Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) needs to promptly reorient its paradigm to enhance students' digital citizenship competencies so that they do not merely become passive consumers of information, but rather become critical, intelligent, ethical producers of digital content grounded in the Pancasila ideology amidst the challenges of the post-truth era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the local wisdom values embedded in the architecture of the traditional houses of Sade Village and to examine their role in shaping patriotism and civic character among the community. The study employed a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design conducted in Sade Traditional Village, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving traditional leaders, community members, and young generations selected purposively. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the architecture of Sade traditional houses embodies the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, deliberation, collective responsibility, respect for ancestral heritage, cultural identity, and harmony with the environment. Patriotism is constructed through the preservation of traditional houses, intergenerational cultural transmission, community participation in customary activities, and the interpretation of traditional houses as symbols of cultural and national identity. These values contribute to the development of civic character, including a sense of belonging to the nation, social responsibility, social participation, solidarity, environmental awareness, and tolerance. The findings confirm that the local wisdom embedded in traditional house architecture serves an educational function as a culture-based source of civic learning to strengthen patriotism and national identity in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Online and Flexible Learning Pathways (OFLPs) have emerged as a strategic approach for strengthening graduate employability by connecting academic learning with authentic workplace experiences. However, their successful implementation depends not only on student participation but also on institutional readiness, effective supervision, digital infrastructure, and sustainable university–industry partnerships. This study explored academic readiness and university–industry collaboration in OFLP implementation across three Indonesian universities. A qualitative-dominant multi-case study with an embedded descriptive survey design was employed. Data were collected through open-ended questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and participant observation, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis supported by NVivo 14. The findings indicate that students generally perceived OFLPs as relevant to industry needs and beneficial for developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional skills. Nevertheless, challenges related to time management, structured mentoring, faculty workload, digital supervision, and partnership coordination remained substantial barriers to effective implementation. The study conceptualizes academic readiness as a collective institutional capability shaped by learners, faculty, digital ecosystems, and external partners. These findings provide practical guidance for designing sustainable OFLPs through integrated governance, structured mentoring, coordinated academic planning, and stronger university–industry collaboration.

Abstract

Abstract

The digital era presents significant challenges for the welfare state, particularly in relation to the legal framework. This research aims to identify and analyze the legal challenges and issues faced by the welfare state in the context of rapid technological advancement. Using a descriptive approach, this research employs a literature review of recent sources published in the last decade to ensure their relevance and accuracy. Key challenges identified include data protection and privacy issues, digitalization of social services, cybersecurity threats, and digital workforce regulation. In addition, the study also addresses emerging legal issues such as copyright infringement, money laundering through cryptocurrencies, and the inadequacy of existing cybercrime laws. The findings show that while technological developments offer opportunities to improve welfare services, they also create complexities that threaten equality and social justice. The need for a robust legal framework that can adapt to these changes is emphasized, highlighting the role of the state in protecting citizens' rights in both the physical and digital realms. In conclusion, this research underscores the urgent need for legal reforms that balance the rights of individuals with the well-being of society, ensuring that the benefits of digital technologies are shared equitably across society. This research ultimately contributes to the ongoing discourse on the intersection of law, technology and social welfare in the modern era.
