Abstract

The difficulty of students in understanding abstract and complex hydrological cycle material is caused by the limitations of technology-based learning media. There is also an impact caused by the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in the aspect of creativity in the world of education is increasing so that teachers play an active role in developing learning media. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of augmented reality-based learning media on the hydrological cycle material of geography subjects. This research method uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE research design model. The results of the analysis show that the average value of the effectiveness of the use of augmented reality-based learning media according to the material expert validator is 95% and the media expert is 87%, then also from student respondents, namely 91.36%, and teacher respondents 89.4% of the 4 assessments are included in the very high criteria from the other four criteria, namely high, low, and very low. Based on the results of the research analysis, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the use of AR-based learning media on the Hydrological Cycle material of Geography Subjects in class X of SMA, the majority of these indicators have very high criteria. So the development of this learning media has high effectiveness and is able to stimulate the learning process of students. The majority of students also have no difficulty in using it.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pemahaman mengenai sumber daya alam (SDA) sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia dan perkembangan ekonomi. Salah satu SDA yang krusial adalah tambang pasir, yang digunakan dalam berbagai industri seperti konstruksi, manufaktur kaca, dan elektronik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif eksploratif untuk menjelaskan secara mendalam fenomena penambangan pasir. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di lapangan, wawancara dengan berbagai pihak terkait seperti pekerja tambang dan masyarakat setempat, serta melalui dokumentasi yang mencakup regulasi dan literatur terkait. Observasi langsung memberikan gambaran nyata tentang kondisi lapangan, sementara wawancara memperkaya pemahaman dengan sudut pandang dari para ahli dan pemangku kepentingan. Dokumentasi menyediakan konteks historis dan peraturan yang mengatur praktik penambangan pasir. Penelitian tentang penambangan pasir di Desa Kalisat, Kabupaten Jember, Jawa Timur, mengungkap potensi ekonomi yang signifikan namun juga tantangan lingkungan dan sosial yang kompleks. Meskipun memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pembangunan regional dan peningkatan pendapatan lokal, penambangan ini menyebabkan kerusakan ekosistem, seperti hilangnya habitat alami, erosi tanah, dan pencemaran air, yang mengancam stabilitas lahan pertanian dan kesehatan masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi dampak negatif tersebut, diperlukan langkah-langkah seperti rehabilitasi lahan, penggunaan dan teknologi hijau, sistem pengelolaan air limbah yang efektif, serta peningkatan pengawasan dan pelibatan masyarakat dalam pengambilan atau keputusan. Regulasi pemerintah juga harus diperketat dan ditegakkan dengan lebih serius. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya integrasi pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan dalam kurikulum geografi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi siswa dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Kesimpulannya, meskipun penambangan pasir di Kalisat memiliki potensi ekonomi yang besar, kolaborasi antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan industri diperlukan untuk mengelola dampak lingkungan dan sosial secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah merambah ke ranah pendidikan, sehingga mentransformasi pendekatan pembelajaran yang ada di lembaga pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai efektivitas penggunaan materi pembelajaran video virtual yang didasarkan pada kepedulian sosial dan lingkungan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pendidikan geografi. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metodologi Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D) yang mencakup tiga fase: perencanaan, pengembangan, dan pengujian. Produk menjalani validasi oleh satu orang ahli media, satu orang ahli materi pelajaran, dan 30 orang mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Geografi. Pada tahap awal dilakukan uji validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Selanjutnya efektivitas media dinilai melalui evaluasi pretest-posttest dan angket yang diberikan kepada siswa. Temuannya menunjukkan N-Gain Score sebesar 83%, yang menunjukkan tingkat efektivitas yang tinggi. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa siswa menunjukkan tingkat minat yang cukup tinggi, termasuk dalam kategori “tertarik”. Hasil ini menggarisbawahi perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest sebelum pemanfaatan media video virtual yang berfokus pada isu-isu sosial dan lingkungan. Berdasarkan beberapa pengujian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video virtual yang menjawab permasalahan sosial dan lingkungan secara efektif berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa pendidikan geografi sarjana, menumbuhkan peningkatan minat, dan terbukti cocok untuk diintegrasikan ke dalam proses pembelajaran.Abstract: Advances in information and communication technology have penetrated the realm of education, thereby transforming existing learning approaches in educational institutions. The aim of this research is to assess the effectiveness of using virtual video learning materials based on social and environmental concerns to improve the critical thinking skills of geography education students. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) methodology which includes three phases: planning, development, and testing. The product underwent validation by one media expert, one subject matter expert, and 30 Geography Education undergraduate students. In the initial stage, validation tests were carried out by media experts and material experts. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the media is assessed through pretest-posttest evaluations and questionnaires given to students. The findings show an N-Gain Score of 83%, which indicates a high level of effectiveness. The results of the questionnaire showed that students showed a fairly high level of interest, falling into the "interested" category. These results underline the significant differences between the pretest and posttest results before the use of virtual video media that focuses on social and environmental issues. Based on several tests, it can be concluded that virtual video media that answers social and environmental problems effectively contributes to improving critical thinking skills among undergraduate geography education students, fosters increased interest, and is proven to be suitable for integration into the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan guru di abad 21 diarahkan pada penguasaan dan penerapan teknologi, pedagogi, dan konten. TPACK memberikan kerangka kerja fleksibel yang diterapkan pada berbagai konteks pembelajaran dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru Geografi terhadap penerapan TPACK dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari guru-guru SMA di Tulungagung yang berjumlah 31 orang. Data persepsi guru diperoleh dari hasil angket yang mengacu pada domain TPACK yaitu conten knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, teknological knowledge, technological content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, technological pedagogical knowledge, dan technological pedagogical content knowledge.  Teknik analisis data melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persepsi guru terhadap TPACK berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik. Hasil persepsi guru dikemukakan melalui proses pelatihan, dukungan institusional, dan hasil nyata dari penggunaan teknologi. Penerapan TPACK membantu guru untuk merancang pembelajaran yang menggabungkan model pembelajaran, materi, dan video eksplorasi geografi yang meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Ini menunjukkan guru memiliki pemahaman yang positif terhadap integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran.Abstract:  Teacher development in the 21st century is directed at mastery and application of technology, pedagogy, and content. TPACK provides a flexible framework that is applied to various learning contexts and is tailored to the needs and characteristics of students. This study aims to determine the perception of Geography teachers towards the application of TPACK in learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data sources were obtained from 31 high school teachers in Tulungagung. Teacher perception data were obtained from the results of a questionnaire referring to the TPACK domain, namely content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, technological knowledge, technological content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, technological pedagogical knowledge, and technological pedagogical content knowledge. Data analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study showed that teacher perceptions of TPACK were in the good and very good categories. The results of teacher perceptions were presented through the training process, institutional support, and real results from the use of technology. The application of TPACK helps teachers to design learning that combines learning models, materials, and geography exploration videos that increase student engagement. This shows that teachers have a positive understanding of technology integration in learning.

Abstract

This study attempts to discuss feminism and ideological criticism of science. Feminism is a movement that fights for the rights of oppressed women as a result of injustice and inequality, both in terms of economics, social, politics, education and others. In Indonesia, it was spread by Raden Ajeng Kartini, who fought for the women, especially in the field of education. Feminism movements in the world are various; liberal feminists, social feminism, radical feminism, Marxist feminism, ecofeminism, Islamic feminism and so on. These feminisms are different in analyzing the causes of injustice and the goals and forms of their struggle. Although having different opinions, they contain the same core struggle, i.e awareness of injustice against women in the family or community. This study focuses on feminism and ideological criticism of science. In the past time, men and women did not get the same education rights. Women could only get low education and only work indoors, while men received high education and obtained jobs as they wanted. Thus, men have a broader knowledge of science, they could create sophisticated technology to ease their burden.

Abstract

Inovasi adalah penerapan hal-hal baru yang bertujuan untuk membawa perubahan positif, terutama oleh orang-orang yang berkeinginan kuat untuk menciptakan dunia yang lebih baik. Inovasi sangat penting dalam dunia pendidikan, di mana berbagai teknik baru dikembangkan untuk membentuk generasi mendatang. Pendidikan dihadapkan pada tuntutan untuk mempersiapkan siswa menguasai teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tantangan dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yang berarti data dijelaskan secara mendalam. Studi pustaka dilakukan dengan menggunakan sumber-sumber dari Google Scholar untuk memperoleh referensi yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk menyongsong era globalisasi, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan perlu didukung oleh kebijakan dan budaya pendidikan yang mampu mengatasi berbagai tantangan secara holistik. Pendidikan merupakan kunci untuk menghasilkan individu berkualitas, dan negara-negara maju bergantung pada kualitas pendidikan mereka. Inovasi dalam pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPS, diperlukan agar proses belajar mengajar berlangsung dengan lancar, menyenangkan, dan kreatif, sehingga memotivasi siswa untuk belajar dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan meningkatkan kinerja mereka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of cultivating religious moderation amidst the rapid influence of transnational ideologies in improving student discipline at SD Negeri 17 Pemecutan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the phenomenological method to understand the essence of students‘ and teachers’ experiences related to religious moderation and its impact on discipline. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to explore the implementation of strategies carried out by teachers in dealing with transnational ideologies and instilling moderate attitudes in religion. The results showed that one of the effective strategies is through activities such as flag ceremonies that foster a sense of love for the country and interfaith learning that emphasizes tolerance and mutual respect. Teachers also have an important role in developing student discipline through personal approaches and providing opportunities for students to explore their talents through extracurricular activities. This research provides new insights into the importance of religious moderation in shaping students' characters who are disciplined and respectful of differences. In conclusion, this strategy needs to be implemented sustainably to form an ethical, well-mannered generation, and aware of diversity.

Abstract

Various problems of decreasing geography learning outcomes such as lack of geography literacy, inadequate teaching, and lack of student learning motivation are problems that need to be followed up on improving geography learning outcomes and student learning motivation. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Resource Based Learning model assisted by Microsite on geography learning outcomes and the interaction of Resource Based Learning model assisted by Microsite between geography learning outcomes and student learning motivation. This research used quantitative approach with Quasi Experimental design. The research subjects were X social studies students at SMAN 1 Purwoharjo in the 2023/2024 school year, with a sample of 105 students divided into experimental and control groups using Purpose sampling technique. Class selection was determined in the experimental class is X 6 and control class X 7. Data collection was done through geography learning outcomes test, learning motivation questionnaire, and learning observation. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA with a significance level of 5%. The results showed (1) there is a significant effect of Resource Based Learning model assisted by Microsite on geography learning outcomes; (2) there is a significant interaction of Resource Based Learning model assisted by Microsite between geography learning outcomes and student learning motivation. The Resource Based Learning model assisted by Microsite is effective because the learning is student-centered in meeting the needs and convenience in the learning process. The Microsite-assisted Resource Based Learning model makes it easier for students to be independent and flexible in learning outside of class hours. The Microsite-assisted Resource Based Learning model can optimize the interactive learning process and collaboration between students.

Abstract

This study explores the development of innovative digital learning media in geography education during the COVID-19 pandemic. It uses contextual e-comics to help people learn more about Indonesian natural resource management. These were made through a research and development process that used the ADDIE model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The final product is a contextual E-Comic in PDF format designed to enhance learning in geography. Feasibility and effectiveness were vital evaluation metrics. Validation by media, subject matter experts, and linguists yielded approval ratings of 96%, 71%, and 92%, respectively. Student trials showed an 89% acceptance rate, and teacher feedback indicated a 92% approval rating. An important finding was that the E-Comic worked, as demonstrated by a paired sample t-test with a significant t-value of 0.000. This indicates that it could be a valuable educational tool during the pandemic. This study addresses the challenges of geography education during a global health crisis and showcases the potential of digital media to enhance learning experiences.

Abstract

Pengembangan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan bahan ajar Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup (PLH) yang hanya bersifat konseptual dan tidak mengaitkan teori dengan fenomena sekitar mahasiswa seperti permasalahan lingkungan lokal yaitu pengelolaan sampah di TPA Pabentengang. Hal ini menyebabkan pembelajaran kurang menarik dan bermakna. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mentransformasi pembelajaran PLH melalui pengembangan e-modul sebagai suplemen bahan ajar berbasis kontekstual di TPA Pabentengang. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Kelayakan produk dinilai oleh ahli materi dan media. Hasil validasi ahli materi menunjukkan skor 83,33% (valid), sedangkan ahli media menilai aspek penyajian sebesar 87% (sangat valid) dan grafika 90% (sangat valid). Keputusan uji menyatakan e-modul dapat digunakan dengan revisi kecil. Uji coba respon mahasiswa menunjukkan skor 71,47% dengan kategori "Baik/Layak". Kesimpulannya, e-modul ini layak digunakan sebagai suplemen bahan ajar PLH, terutama dalam memberikan solusi konkret terhadap permasalahan lingkungan.
