Abstract

Pendidikan karakter disiplin adalah pendidikan berbasis agama melalui tata tertib, keteladanan, arahan, budi pekerti dan pembiasaan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada: (1.) Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Kedisiplinan Santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurut Taqwa? (2.) kendala Pendidikan Karakter Disiplin Santri di Pesantren Nurut Taqwa? Adapun penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Studi kasus adalah metode analisis data kualitatif yang menitik beratkan pada kasus-kasus khusus, untuk dikaji secara mendalam dengan melibatkan pengumpulan berbagai informasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi kata, penyajian kesimpulan data dan verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini bisa dijelaskan sebagai berikut: (1). Implementasi Pendidikan karakter disiplin santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurut Taqwa antara lain: a. Peraturan tersebut sudah berjalan sesuai aturan yang ditetapkan di pesantren. b.pengurus adalah contoh yang baik bagi santrinya. c. Membenarkan segala sesuatu yang benar. d. Pendidikan menanamkan pengertian disiplin dengan memberikan petunjuk dalam bertindak sesuai dengan aturan yang telah ditetapkan. (2). Kendala Pendidikan Karakter Disiplin Santri di Pondok Pesantren Nurut Taqwa meliputi: a. Pendidikan karakter disiplin adalah pendidikan tentang nilai moral, budi pekerti dan budi pekerti yang bertujuan untuk membedakan individu dengan individu lainnya. b. Pendidikan karakter disiplin memiliki nilai-nilai religius c. Lingkungan santri tidak akan lepas dari beberapa lembaga yang berada di bawah naungan pondok pesantren, seperti sekolah MI, MA, SMK, MDTA dan lembaga lainnya. d. Tingkat keimanan santri sangat mempengaruhi pendidikan karakter kedisiplinan santri dengan meningkatkan keimanan, santri berakhlak mulia, melaksanakan segala perintah Allah SWT dan jauhi larangannya. Data collection is carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data collection, word reduction, presentation of data conclusions and verification. The results of this study can be explained as follows: (1). Implementation of Disciplinary Character Education of Students at the Nurut Taqwa Islamic Boarding School include: a. The regulations have been implemented according to the rules set at the Islamic boarding school. b. The management is a good example for its students. c. Justifying everything that is right. d. Education instills an understanding of discipline by providing guidance in acting in accordance with the rules that have been set. (2). Obstacles to Disciplinary Character Education of Students at the Nurut Taqwa Islamic Boarding School include: a. Disciplinary character education is education about moral values, manners and character that aims to differentiate individuals from other individuals. b. Disciplinary character education has religious values. c. The environment of students will not be separated from several institutions under the auspices of the Islamic boarding school, such as MI, MA, SMK, MDTA schools and other institutions. d. The level of faith of students greatly influences the education of disciplined character of students by increasing faith, students have noble morals, carry out all the commands of Allah SWT and avoid His prohibitions.

Abstract

This study examines the Population Corner initiative at SMA Negeri 1 Stabat, intending to improve digital literacy through the School Literacy Movement (SLM). The main objectives are to provide an overview of the Population Corner program at SMA Negeri 1 Stabat as a form of digital-based SLM implementation and to assess students' literacy levels in population content using a qualitative approach to guide the development of a more effective Population Corner. The results showed that although the initiative has successfully integrated digital tools such as QR codes and cloud-based platforms to improve access to information, many students are not actively using these resources. Limitations of this study include the absence of structured management and a dedicated space for the Population Corner, which may affect its effectiveness. In addition, the study highlighted that many students were not fully engaged with the program, indicating the need for better strategies to encourage interest in population literacy activities. Recommendations for future improvements include increasing student engagement through dynamic activities, integrating interdisciplinary connections, providing geospatial resources, and improving the school's digital infrastructure to improve access to resources. Addressing these limitations and implementing the recommended strategies, the Population Corner initiative can increase literacy and awareness of critical population issues at the local and national levels.

Abstract

Understanding spatial relationships and human-environment interactions is an important aspect of geography, but many students still struggle to develop the cognitive skills to understand the concept. Augmented Reality (AR) provides an interactive learning experience for students, but previous studies generally have focused on lower-order cognitive skills. This study aims to examine the effect of AR on students' ability to understand (C2), apply (C3), and analyze (C4). This study used quasi-experimental with a posttest-only control group design. 71 tenth-grade students were selected as samples through purposive sampling. The test instrument comprised multiple-choice and essay-type questions across three cognitive levels. Data were analyzed using a non-parametric method, namely the Mann-Whitney U test. The analysis showed no significant difference between the experimental and control classes in the understanding (C2) and applying (C3) domains. However, there are variations in results on several indicators in these two domains, so AR shows the potential to improve students' understanding and application in certain aspects. In contrast, there was a significant difference in the analyzing domain (C4), with all indicators showing significant differences. Thus, AR can effectively support students' analytical skills, while its role in improving understanding and application needs further study.

Abstract

Landslides often occur in areas with steep topography and unstable geology. Mojo District, particularly the slopes of Mount Wilis, is a landslide-prone area influenced by slope steepness and land use changes. This study analyzes the main factors contributing to landslides using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and vulnerability mapping based on Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). The five main parameters used include slope steepness, soil texture, rainfall, geology, and land use. The AHP weighting results indicate slope steepness as the dominant factor (weight 0.40), followed by soil texture with a value of 0.25, rainfall 0.15, geology 0.12, and land use 0.08. The vulnerability index map is divided into three classes: low, moderate, and high. Validation using data from 13 actual landslide events shows high spatial consistency, particularly in the southwestern and central regions of Mojo District, which experience high rainfall and sandy clay soils that are less stable. The final results of this study can serve as a basis for landslide disaster mitigation efforts and spatial planning in landslide-prone areas.

Abstract

Technological developments in the industrial revolution 4.0 era are progressing rapidly, as is the world of education. Technological advances in the world of education are increasingly sophisticated by utilizing media as a learning aid. This study aims to develop a digital learning media, specifically the Baluran Ecotourism media supported by Google Sites, and to evaluate its feasibility and practicality in the context of geography education. The research employed the ADDIE instructional design model, comprising the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, due to its systematic and iterative structure, which allows for continuous feedback and refinement throughout the development process. The data analysis incorporated both qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches: qualitative analysis was conducted through expert feedback and open-ended responses, while quantitative analysis was based on questionnaire scores collected from validators, students, and teachers using a Likert-scale instrument. This research instrument is a material validation and media validation questionnaire, then a student and teacher response questionnaire after using the media. implementation was carried out on students and teachers of SMAN 1 Asembagus and received a positive response. The research results showed that material experts obtained results of 86% (very feasible) and media experts obtained results of 78% (very feasible). The results of student responses obtained an average of 87.9% (very practical). So it can be concluded that the Baluran Ecotourism learning media has been validated and is suitable for use by students and teachers in geography learning.

Abstract

The first objective of the Community Service (PkM) activity is to educate the managers of the Bukit Kehi Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) about the geological and geomorphological features (landscape). The second objective is to assist Pokdarwis managers in planning the development of tourist attractions. The method used is training with an andragogical approach. The learning medium used is a 25-page landscape flipbook. The activity stages include planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. As a result, Pokdarwis has increased its knowledge of the landscape of Kertagena Daya and Bukit Kehi. This knowledge is very important for Pokdarwis in the context of developing tourist attractions. However, to provide landscape education services to visitors, Pokdarwis requires a learning process to effectively introduce geological and geomorphological features. The development of Bukit Kehi tourism is planned to become geotourism, so in the future, assistance from the PkM team will be needed for Pokdarwis. Tujuan pertama kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan melatih  pengelola Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Bukit Kehi tentang fitur geologi dan geomorfologi (bentang lahan). Tujuan kedua adalah mendampingi pengelola Pokdarwis merencanakan pengembangan obyek wisata. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan pendekatan andragogi. Media belajar yang digunakan adalah flipbook bentang lahan dengan jumlah 25 halaman. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi perencanaan, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan PkM adalah terjadi peningkatan  pengetahuan bentang lahan Desa Kertagena Daya dan Bukit Kehi. Pengetahuan ini sangat penting dimiliki oleh Pokdarwis dalam rangka pengembangan atraksi wisata. Namun, untuk memberikan layanan edukasi bentang lahan kepada para pengunjung, dibutuhkan proses belajar pengenalan fitur geologi dan geomorfologi. Pengembangan wisata Bukit Kehi direncanakan menjadi geowisata sehingga ke depan dibutuhkan pendampingan kepada Pokdarwis oleh tim PkM.

Abstract

The bullying phenomenon in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) has received serious attention, considering that Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions based on religious and moral values. This study aims to explore the factors causing bullying and understand the role of positive relationships between teachers and students in preventing and handling bullying cases in Islamic boarding schools. This study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory method at the An Najah Denanyar Islamic Boarding School in Jombang. Informants consisted of four teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results showed that the factors causing bullying were divided into two categories: intimidation (lack of social awareness, peer influence, arrogance, etc.) and victimization (physical condition, low social skills, etc.). A positive teacher-student relationship was proven to have a preventive and curative role against bullying behavior. This relationship strategy includes teacher characteristics such as affection and role models, and implementing a supportive approach both inside and outside the classroom. This study recommends the importance of fostering healthy interpersonal relationships in Islamic boarding schools to create a safe learning atmosphere and support the moral development of students.

Abstract

Earth Science System in the Community is a learning model relevant to the 2013 curriculum and canimprove students' critical thinking ability. The research aims to determine the effect of EarthComm learningmodels assisted by Avenza Maps application on students critical thinking ability. This type of research is aquasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research was held at High School 2Mojokerto in the even semester 2019/2020. Data analysis using Independent Sample T-Test with IBM SPSSStatistics 22 for Windows. The results showed there was quite a significant difference between the criticalthinking ability of the experimental class and the control class, evidenced by the value gain a score of theexperiment class (28.11) more significant than the control class (19.89). EarthComm learning model assistedby Avenza Maps application affecting the students critical thinking ability because the syntax of EarthComminvites students to observe directly in the field. Through direct observation, students can feel and understandwhat is happening in the field to improve students' critical thinking ability. Suggestions are given to (1) theteacher of Geography subjects, hopefully, able to implement EarthComm learning model assisted by AvanzaMaps application about the Earth system material that demands critical thinking capabilities in it; (2) furtherresearchers, it is advisable to replace or add other bonded variables.

Abstract

Spatial thinking is defined as a person's ability to think about how to understand space by connecting certain interrelated objects so as to answer spatial problems from simple to complex. Based on facts in the field, students' spatial thinking skills are still relatively low at the high school level in Indonesia due to the minimal use of geography learning media, limited student activities, and textbook questions that require a high mastery of spatial concepts. In addition, based on a needs analysis, as many as 39.2% - 47.8% of students stated that the application of appropriate media greatly helped them in understanding the material. The use of the ArcGIS application and the Project Based Learning approach can provide students with direct experience in the learning process and students can understand the steps of managing geographic information system data to create base maps. The study was conducted to determine whether or not there is an effect of Project Based Learning with the help of the ArcGIS application on students' spatial thinking skills. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with the experimental class and the control class as research subjects. Based on the results of the study, students' spatial thinking skills are significantly influenced by Project Based Learning (PBM) with the help of the ArcGIS application. This is indicated by the Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) < 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. In addition, the N-Gain Score results of the experimental class were higher than the control class, namely 53.5%. The practical benefit of this study is that it can be a reference for geography teachers in implementing technology-based learning based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by utilizing the ArcGIS application.
