Abstract

Preeclampsia remains one of the leading causes of maternal mortality globally, particularly in developing countries with limited access to antenatal care and emergency obstetric services. This study aims to synthesize scientific evidence regarding the relationship between preeclampsia and maternal mortality in Asia through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Using reputable databases such as Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science, the study analyzed relevant articles published between 2020 and 2024. The results indicate that preeclampsia significantly contributes to maternal death through complications such as eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and multi-organ failure. The trend of publications shows fluctuating research interest, with a peak in 2023, reflecting increased attention to maternal health post-pandemic. The majority of studies originate from the health sciences and biomedical fields, focusing on clinical interventions and pathophysiology. However, contributions from social, cultural, and policy-oriented research remain minimal, indicating a need for interdisciplinary integration. This review highlights critical risk factors such as chronic hypertension, limited prenatal care, and socio-economic disparities that exacerbate the impact of preeclampsia. It also emphasizes the importance of early detection, risk communication, and context-specific interventions in reducing maternal mortality. Ultimately, this synthesis provides a foundation for improving health policies, clinical practices, and future research directions related to preeclampsia and maternal mortality in Asia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the urgency of a halal food labeling feature in food delivery apps, particularly in addressing the needs of Muslim consumers in Indonesia. This study adopted a qualitative research method with a field approach, using direct observation and in-depth interviews involving 12 informants. The informants included app users, culinary entrepreneurs, and app developers. With the rapid development of digital technology, various business sectors are required to continuously innovate through the use of modern apps, including online food ordering services. Platforms such as GoFood, GrabFood, ShopeeFood, and other similar apps have now become part of the urban lifestyle. However, amidst the dominant Muslim population in Indonesia, the lack of a feature specifically indicating the halal status of food presents a challenge. This lack of clarity can raise concerns among Muslim consumers and limit their choices in accessing food that aligns with religious principles. Halal labels play a crucial role in assuring trust in a product. Therefore, the presence of halal information features in food delivery apps is an urgent need that cannot be ignored, to ensure the fulfillment of Muslim consumers' rights to food that aligns with their religious values.

Abstract

Silk woven fabric is a cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation in Wajo Regency, one of which is in Walanga Village. The increasing demand for silk woven fabric shows that consumers are still interested in it, this also makes it one of the economic drivers in Walanga Village. The increasing demand is not supported by the high bargaining value of silk woven fabric. This is caused by the absence of product packaging. So far, silk woven fabrics have been sold without packaging. Community service activities carried out by partners go through several stages, namely: socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring and evaluation, and monitoring. The objective of this activity is to enhance the market value of silk weaving artisans, thereby contributing to the economic growth of the Walanga Village community. The outcomes of this program indicate improvements in product quality and increased income for the community. Attractive packaging has further boosted the product's market value, positively impacting the community's welfare.

Abstract

Background: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is still a global health problem. The incidence rate has statistically increased every year. The causes are excessive eating patterns and lack of physical activity, which cause blood glucose levels to be uncontrolled. Uncontrolled blood glucose levels, then chronic complications arise in patients with Type 2 DM, namely diabetic foot ulcers. Therefore, appropriate physical activity therapy is needed to prevent the early emergence of chronic complications of type 2 DM. The right therapy is diabetic foot exercise therapy. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of diabetic foot exercise on preventing chronic complications of type 2 DM. Methods: The research design employed is a rigorous pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The study population consisted of 20 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients registered at the Tempe Health Center, Wajo Regency. The study was meticulously conducted in the Tempe Health Center area, Wajo Regency, and data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test statistical test with a significant level (p-value <0.05). Results: Diabetic foot exercise therapy is significantly related to changes in ABI values, Diabetic Foot Pain Scale, and GDS in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus before and after therapy. (p-value <0.05). Conclusion: From these findings, researchers concluded that regular diabetic foot exercise holds significant promise. It can effectively increase blood flow to the peripheral parts of the body, control blood glucose levels, and reduce foot pain. This underscores the potential of diabetic foot exercise as a proactive measure to prevent chronic complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus, instilling hope for improved patient outcomes.
