Abstract

Museums have progressively evolved from static repositories of cultural heritage into dynamic, learner-centred educational institutions that support informal, lifelong, and socially situated learning. This study aimed to systematically synthesise contemporary research on museum pedagogy in order to identify dominant theoretical orientations, pedagogical practices, and emergent challenges across diverse museum learning contexts. Employing a systematic literature review (SLR) design in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, the study analysed 18 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 in journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and SINTA 1–2. Thematic synthesis, supported by independent coding with an inter-rater reliability coefficient of κ = 0.82, was applied to examine patterns across the literature. The analysis identified six interrelated dimensions of contemporary museum pedagogy: (1) technology-enhanced museum learning, (2) experiential and constructivist approaches, (3) inclusive and accessible pedagogical practices, (4) cross-curricular integration, (5) visitor engagement and meaning-making, and (6) professional development of museum educators. The findings indicate a conceptual shift from isolated educational activities toward coherent pedagogical designs that integrate digital mediation, sociocultural participation, and inclusive learning principles. Persistent gaps remain in longitudinal assessment of learning outcomes, cross-cultural comparative research, and empirical operationalisation of inclusive pedagogical frameworks. This study contributes an integrative synthesis that advances theoretical coherence in museum pedagogy and provides evidence-based insights for researchers, museum practitioners, and policymakers seeking to design inclusive, pedagogically grounded, and digitally responsive museum learning environments.

Abstract

The proliferation of social media as a dominant mode of digital communication has engendered profound transformations in language practices within higher education, particularly at Islamic institutions where academic discourse intersects with religious communication ethics. This study investigates the influence of social media language creativity—encompassing slang, abbreviations, code-mixing, and neologisms—on the linguistic proficiency of students at the Faculty of Sharia, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Raden Intan Lampung. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach integrated with a systematic literature review, primary data were collected through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews with 60 students drawn from three study programs (Islamic Family Law, Sharia Economic Law, and Constitutional Law) via purposive sampling. Secondary data were obtained from peer-reviewed publications spanning 2020–2025. Findings reveal a dual impact of social media language use: on the one hand, digital platforms foster vocabulary enrichment, linguistic creativity, and innovative communicative strategies—including the adaptation of informal registers for digital da'wah; on the other hand, habitual exposure to informal digital language diminishes the consistency of standard Indonesian in academic contexts, manifesting as grammatical imprecision, register conflation, and reduced formal writing quality. Content analysis further identifies five principal factors driving slang adoption: the need to follow digital trends (93%), peer group influence (90%), social media as a vocabulary source (87%), communication efficiency (80%), and linguistic creativity (72%). Notably, students demonstrate context-dependent register switching, predominantly employing informal registers in peer communication (92%) while reverting to standard Indonesian in academic presentations (90%). These findings underscore the necessity of strengthening digital literacy programs, institutional language policies, and pedagogical interventions that balance creative expression with formal academic standards in Islamic higher education.

Abstract

Mathematics education has long been influenced by diverse learning theories that are frequently applied in isolation, leading to theoretical fragmentation in instructional design. This study addresses that gap by proposing the DECADE learning model as a theoretically integrated framework that systematically synthesizes cognitivism, constructivism, information processing theory, dual coding theory, and cognitive load theory within a coherent instructional architecture. The study aims to establish the epistemological foundation and structural validity of this multi-theory integration in the context of mathematics education. Employing a mixed-method developmental design, qualitative thematic analysis was conducted to map the five theoretical foundations into a progressive six-phase instructional structure, followed by quantitative expert judgment to assess content and construct validity. The results demonstrate strong conceptual stability, with mean validity indices exceeding 90% of the ideal score, indicating high alignment between theoretical rationale, instructional syntax, and structural coherence. Rather than claiming empirical effectiveness, this study confirms the theoretical and structural feasibility of DECADE as an expert-validated framework. The findings contribute to mathematics education by offering a principled synthesis that bridges constructivist meaning construction and cognitive regulation, thereby providing a consolidated theoretical foundation for future empirical investigation and instructional innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine senior high school students' early learning experiences, growth mindset, and academic resilience to provide baseline data for developing digital guidance services. A quantitative descriptive design was used, involving an online survey with 3,746 students. The survey included both open-ended questions to explore early learning experiences and closed-ended Likert scale questions to assess growth mindset and academic resilience. Data analysis revealed that 66.20% of students reported mixed early learning experiences, 30.25% reported positive experiences, and 3.55% reported less positive experiences. Regarding growth mindset and academic resilience, 77.95% and 83.08% of students, respectively, were categorized at moderate levels. The results indicate that while students exhibit adaptive potential, their growth mindset and coping strategies are still developing. These findings highlight the importance of understanding the factors influencing students' mindset and resilience. This study suggests the need for reflective e-guidance services to help students strengthen their growth-oriented beliefs and improve their academic resilience, providing a promising approach to supporting students' learning and development.

Abstract

The implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)-based education in civics education at the secondary school level reveals a gap between policy and classroom practice, particularly regarding the contextual integration of sustainability values and the values of Pancasila. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SDG-based education in secondary schools in Bandar Lampung City and to develop an operational learning model. The approach used is qualitative with an exploratory case study design. Data were collected through interviews with the principal, teachers, and students at SMA IT Baitul Jannah, participatory observation, and document analysis, and were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. Research findings indicate that the integration of the SDGs into teaching remains implicit and has not yet been systematically incorporated into the curriculum or pedagogical strategies. Teachers have linked course content to social and environmental issues, but have not explicitly utilized the SDG framework. The internalization of Pancasila values has taken place, though it remains predominantly normative and has not yet been reflectively connected to global issues. Limited teacher understanding, a lack of training, suboptimal use of technology, and weak collaboration are the main obstacles. On the other hand, students have shown enthusiasm for project-based learning and real-world issues. This study resulted in the Civic-SDG Transformative Learning Model (CSTLM), which integrates an SDG-based curriculum, transformative pedagogy grounded in critical pedagogy and deep thinking skills, digital technology, and the values of Pancasila. This model is implemented through the stages of issue identification, SDG analysis, value reflection, action, and evaluation. These findings provide conceptual and practical contributions to the development of sustainability-based civic education in Indonesia.
