Abstract

Implementation of Dual System Education in Public Vocational High Schools in Bandar Lampung City. This study aims to analyze the issues of dual system education in public vocational high schools (SMKN 1 and SMKN 4) Bandar Lampung focusing on the quality of dual system education management implementation through qualitative research approach. Research results show that both schools have already performed management functions including planning, implementation, and evaluation. However, the implementation phase in business and industry experienced several problems to be solved by coordination during industry work practices. Therefore, in order for quality and relevance of the public vocational high school graduates through dual system education can be achieved, the vocational high schools in Bandar Lampung need to build intensive cooperation among the stakeholders as partners in implementing dual system education. Keywords : management, dual system education, quality of graduates DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v6.i1.201601

Abstract

Abstract: The Implementation of Total Quality Management at Taman Siswa Elementary School. Objectives: This study aims to find out about the implementation of integrated quality management at Taman Siswa elementary school. Methods: This research method is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study type. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analyzed refers to Miles and Huberman. The validity of the data used source triangulation and technique triangulation. Findings: The findings of the study indicate that the implementation of integrated quality management at Taman Siswa elementary school has been carried out well and there needs to be continuous improvement in various fields. Abstract

Abstract: The Role of Teacher Response and Support in Fostering Smart Risk-Taking Behavior of K-12 Chemistry Students Through Learning Intention. Objectives: This study explores how teacher support influences K-12 students' learning intentions and risk-taking in Indonesian chemistry education, aiming to bolster creative and critical thinking. Methods: A quantitative survey aligned with the positivist paradigm examines the dynamics between teacher behaviours, classroom interactions, and students' willingness for intelligent risk-taking. Findings: It reveals the critical role of supportive teaching methods in promoting smart risk-taking, enhancing classroom engagement, and shaping students' educational interests and attitudes. These insights suggest a profound impact on educational practices in chemistry, highlighting the importance of supportive learning environments. Conclusion: The research emphasizes the need for fostering robust teacher-student engagement and creating conducive learning spaces, with broad implications for teacher training, curriculum design, and educational policy. Abstract

The Novel Work Environment Model to Improve Teacher Performance: A Study at SMAN 1 Sungkai Jaya, North Lampung. Objectives: This study aims to create a good environment in order to improve teacher performance in SMA Negeri 1 Sungkai Jaya, North Lampung. In this study, a combination of two aspects of the work environment model was carried out to create a reflective and appropriate work environment model. Methods: This study uses qualitative methods with 50 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). Findings: The results showed that the social environment at SMAN 1 was good enough to produce good teacher outcomes, but improving communication caused discomfort between the teacher and school principal relations. The artistic environment at SMAN 1 shows that the teachers in carrying out the assignments given by the principal are going well, in an orderly and disciplined manner, but the quality of the learning tools is better than the difficulties in time. Conclusions: Model The reflective work environment has a good status on the relationship between the principal and the teacher because the teacher and the principal are not directly related. Keywords: Reflective work environment model, school, teacher performance. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v9.i2.201906

Abstract

Islamic-Based Leadership in Education: A Literature Review. From an Islamic perspective, leadership issues receive considerable attention, because in Islam leadership is considered the most important instrument for the realization of an ideal society. Objectives: This article aims to examine the urgency of leadership in Islam, the concept of Islamic-based leadership in education and the implementation of Islamic-based leadership in education from various literature. Methods: This article uses a literature review method to find answers to scientific questions posed to help achieve the article's objectives by searching databases from Google Scholar and ScienceDirect with literature for the last 10 years regarding Islamic-based leadership, resulting in 27 international and national articles. Findings: The research results show that leadership is an important element in the core of Islam. Islam has provided special guidelines for selecting leaders and guiding leaders so that they can carry out their mandate to achieve the blessing of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. Islamic leadership is leadership based on the Al-Qur’an and hadith. In its implementation in education, Islamic leadership emulates the characteristics of the Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam with the main characteristics, namely: shiddiq, amanah, tabligh and fathanah. Islamic leadership in education integrates moral, spiritual, and professional growth, aligning worldly goals with worship to achieve holistic development. Conclusion: Islamic leadership is a concept rooted in the principles of the Qur'an and Sunnah, emulating the character of Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam. This leadership approach focuses not only on achieving organizational goals but also on seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty. Abstract

Organic waste shredding machine is a machine made to process and destroy various types of organic waste.Variations of organic waste that can be processed include grasses, vegetable remains, fruit skins, leaves, small twigs, and other organic waste. Innovation in science and technology is currently a support for writers in creating works that benefit society. Appropriate equipment is key in turning organic waste into a valuable economic resource. There has been an increase in organic waste treatment equipment. Currently, there is no technology available to process organic waste in the Tonjong area, Tajur Halang. The research methods used in this study consist of problem identification, problem formulation, data collection and Phal &Beitz designer methods. Abstract

Abstract The importance of school principal transformational leadership and its influence on teacher performance to improve student achievement attracted researchers to investigate it and this article discusses the results of a literature review conducted by the author. There are several articles reviewing the influence of school principals' transformational leadership on teacher performance to improve student achievement, especially in world contexts that can be found. The purpose of this review is to determine the influence of the transformational leadership of school principals on teacher performance to improve student achievement in the world context. Based on the results of a review of literature from various countries in the world, the authors found that the majority of school principal transformational leadership had a positive and significant influence on teacher performance for student achievement. Abstract

Many aspects affect the quality education, one of which is the professional competence of teachers. Teacher competence is interesting topic to learn. This article aims to examine the effect of teacher professional competence on quality education. The articles used in this literature review were those obtained through Google Scholar by using the keywords teacher professional competence and quality oeducation. Based on the results of the literature review, the authors found that the professional competence of teachers has a positive and significant effect on the education quality. Abstract

The issue of psychological well-being in education has emerged as an increasingly critical topic in recent years. This is due to the significance of psychological well-being in enhancing the performance of e ducational institutions, encompassing students, teachers, and the process of formulating school policies. This study sought to discover recent research on psychological well-being from an academic perspective. A total of 27 research articles were successfully gathered and reviewed based on the established criteria. This article review was conducted utilizing two databases (SCOPUS and WoS) and the following keywords: "psychological well-being" combined with "AND" and other search terms such as "school", "teacher", and "student". This systematic review offers a synthesis of results that can serve as the initial step in developing constructs of psychological well-being in educational institutions, thus implying the importance of psychological well-being for teachers and students. The results of the analysis from this systematic literature review have been discussed and concluded in this study.

Abstract

A comprehensive examination of the impact of instructional leadership provided by school principals on teacher commitment was carried out across different nations, including Indonesia. This research employed a literature review approach, scrutinizing journal articles that delved into the connection between the instructional leadership of school principals and teacher commitment. After applying predefined criteria to 120 chosen articles in this domain, only 15 articles met the specified criteria and were subsequently incorporated into the review. The findings of the literature review revealed that the instructional leadership of school principals and the resulting organizational commitment have a positive, and mostly said statistically significant, effect on teacher organizational commitment in various countries.
