Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of social status, family economic conditions, and student motivation on the learning achievement of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 26 Matekko, located in the Kecamatan Gantarang of Kabupaten Bulukumba. The research employed a quantitative Ex Post Facto design, collecting data from 45 students using questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. The analysis involved multiple regression to explore the relationships between the variables. The findings indicate that all three factors—social status, family economic conditions, and student motivation—positively and significantly affect learning achievement. Notably, social status emerged as the most influential factor. These results suggest the need for targeted interventions addressing socio-economic disparities and enhancing student motivation. Future research should consider a broader range of variables and a longitudinal approach.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of community-centered management strategies on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and their surrounding communities, aiming to uncover insights into fostering inclusive growth. Employing a systematic literature review, the study synthesizes existing research to analyze the implications of such strategies on SME performance, resilience, and socio-economic development. The methodological approach involves the examination of key empirical studies and theoretical frameworks to elucidate the multifaceted dimensions of community-centered management. Findings indicate a positive correlation between SME engagement in community practices, such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and stakeholder engagement, and enhanced financial performance, competitiveness, and societal well-being. Moreover, the research highlights the critical role of organizational culture, leadership commitment, and institutional support in driving SME involvement in community development initiatives. Despite the potential benefits, challenges such as resource constraints, lack of awareness, and regulatory hurdles hinder SMEs' adoption of community-centered practices. However, collaborative efforts among stakeholders from various sectors can mitigate these barriers and create an enabling environment for SMEs to embrace sustainable business practices. Overall, this study underscores the importance of community-centered management strategies in advancing inclusive growth and sustainable development agendas. The findings contribute to scholarly understanding and inform evidence-based policymaking and practice aimed at promoting SME resilience and socio-economic progress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of the Social Studies Teacher Forum in improving pedagogical competence, teacher professionalism, and innovation in Social Studies learning at the UPT SPF SMP Negeri 4 Makassar. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, the head of the subject teachers’ working group, and four social studies teachers who were also members of the subject teachers’ working group. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analysis including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results showed that the teacher forum contributed to improving teachers’ pedagogical competence through understanding the material, preparing lesson plans, and evaluating learning. However, the effectiveness of the Teacher Forum depends on the active participation of teachers and school support. In addition, the Teacher Forum also plays a role in improving teachers' professional competence, especially in mastering subject matter, utilising technology, and developing continuous professionalism. Nevertheless, the active participation of teachers and school support is essential to maximise the benefits of the Teacher Forum. The Teacher Forum also encourages innovation in social studies learning, but its success is influenced by teacher involvement, school support, and student readiness. Therefore, more concrete efforts are needed to optimise the role of the teacher forum in developing innovative learning strategies.
