Abstract

This study investigates the influence of learning motivation, student discipline, and ethics on sixth-grade students’ learning attitudes in IPAS at UPT SPF SD Negeri Ujung Tanah 1 Makassar. Employing a quantitative approach with a saturated sample of 65 students, data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression with SPSS 26. The results demonstrate that motivation, discipline, and ethics each positively and significantly affect students’ learning attitudes. Simultaneously, these variables jointly influence learning attitudes significantly. Among them, student ethics was identified as the most dominant predictor. These findings suggest that fostering ethical behavior and enhancing motivation and discipline is critical in shaping positive learning attitudes among elementary students in the context of IPAS.

Abstract

The role is an activity that can influence people who are willing to work together to achieve certain goals they desire. A leader, in influencing subordinates, can do so in various ways, such as providing rewards, delegating authority, giving recognition, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and guiding towards improvement. However, there are still teachers who lack understanding in developing Teaching Modules and understanding student needs. This issue is the focus of the thesis with the objectives: (1) To determine the role of the school principal in improving teachers' pedagogical abilities at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency. (2) To identify the obstacles faced by the school principal in performing their role to enhance teachers' pedagogical competence at the school. The approach used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects in this study are the school principal, two teachers, and nine students. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the principal of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Bangkala, Jeneponto Regency, has shown good performance despite not yet achieving 100% in enhancing teachers' pedagogical abilities. This is evidenced by the principal's continuous efforts in finding ways to improve teachers' capabilities through training, seminars, and workshops. The obstacles faced by the principal in enhancing teachers' pedagogical abilities include financial constraints, time constraints, and insufficient discipline levels ABSTRAKPeran adalah aktivitas yang dapat mempengaruhi orang-orang yang mau bekerja sama untuk mencapai beberapa tujuan yang mereka inginkan. Seorang pemimpin dalam mempengaruhi bawahannya dapat dilakukan dengan macam- macam cara, antara lain dengan memberikan imbalan, melimpahkan wewenang, memberi penghargaan, memberi tugas dan tanggung jawab, dan mengajak ke arah yang lebih baik. Akan tetapi dalam hal ini masih ada guru yang kurang memahami dalam penyusunan Modul Ajar, dan kurang memahami kebutuhan Murid. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi fokus kajian dalam Tesis dengan tujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kemampuan pedagogik guru di UPT SMP Negeri 1 Bangkala, Kabupaten Jeneponto (2) untuk mengetahui Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi Kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan perannya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru di sekolah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, dua orang guru dan sembilan orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah UPT SMP Negeri 1 Bangkala Kabupaten Jeneponto telah menunjukkan kinerja yang baik walaupun belum terlaksana 100% dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pedagogik guru dibuktikan dari cara kepala sekolah yang terus menerus mencari cara dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru melalui: pelatihan-pelatihan, seminar, training dan workshop. Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kemampuan pedagogik guru yaitu dari segi biaya dan waktu dan tingkat kedisiplinan yang masih kurang.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of class teachers and parents on the entrepreneurial interest of grade V students at UPT SPF SDN Kapota Yudha, Makassar, using a quantitative approach. Using 37 students as samples through saturated sampling technique and data analysis using regression as well as t-test and F-test with SPSS 26, the results showed that both the influence of class teachers and parents on students' entrepreneurial interest are statistically significant. The probability value for both variables is 0.007, with t counts of 2.872 for class teachers and 2.732 for parents, both greater than the t table of 1.688. The simultaneous test revealed a significant effect together with a sig. value of the F test of 0.000, indicating that both independent variables contribute to students' entrepreneurial interest. The unstandardized Beta coefficient shows that parental influence (0.147) is more dominant than the class teacher (0.142). In conclusion, parental influence is the main factor influencing the entrepreneurial interest of grade V students in the school. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untukmengeksplorasi pengaruh guru kelas dan orangtua terhadap minat kewirausahaan siswa kelas V di UPT SPF SDN Kapota Yudha, Makassar, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Menggunakan 37 siswa sebagai sampel melalui teknik sampling jenuh dan analisis data menggunakan regresi serta uji-t dan uji F dengan SPSS 26, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik pengaruh guru kelas maupun orangtua terhadap minat kewirausahaan siswa adalah signifikan secara statistik. Nilai probabilitas untuk kedua variabel adalah 0,007, dengan t hitung masing-masing 2,872 untuk guru kelas dan 2,732 untuk orangtua, keduanya lebih besar dari t tabel 1,688. Uji simultan mengungkapkan adanya pengaruh signifikan secara bersama-sama dengan nilai sig. uji F sebesar 0,000, menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel independen berkontribusi terhadap minat kewirausahaan siswa. Koefisien Beta tidak terstandarisasi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh orangtua (0,147) lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan guru kelas (0,142). Kesimpulannya, pengaruh orangtua adalah faktor utama yang mempengaruhi minat kewirausahaan siswa kelas V di sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate classroom management by Economics teachers in overcoming differences in students' intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence in Class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Takalar. This research was conducted in the 2023/2024 school year using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation to assess how classroom management pays attention to differences in students' intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. The results showed that effective classroom management involves different strategies for each type of intelligence. In addressing intellectual intelligence, classroom management is done by considering problem-solving skills and language use. For emotional intelligence, teachers focus on self-control, empathy and student motivation. Meanwhile, for spiritual intelligence, classroom management emphasizes flexibility, awareness, and the ability to face challenges. The findings provide insights into how classroom management strategies tailored to intelligence types can improve student learning outcomes, and recommend further research to develop more adaptive classroom management practices. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan kelas oleh guru Ekonomi dalam mengatasi perbedaan kecerdasan intelektual, emosional, dan spiritual peserta didik di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Takalar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk menilai bagaimana pengelolaan kelas memperhatikan perbedaan kecerdasan intelektual, emosional, dan spiritual siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan kelas yang efektif melibatkan strategi yang berbeda untuk setiap jenis kecerdasan. Dalam mengatasi kecerdasan intelektual, pengelolaan kelas dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan penggunaan bahasa. Untuk kecerdasan emosional, guru memfokuskan pada pengendalian diri, empati, dan motivasi siswa. Sementara itu, untuk kecerdasan spiritual, pengelolaan kelas menekankan fleksibilitas, kesadaran, dan kemampuan menghadapi tantangan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana strategi pengelolaan kelas yang disesuaikan dengan jenis kecerdasan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, serta merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengembangkan praktik pengelolaan kelas yang lebih adaptif.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental instrument in preparing competitive Human Resources (HR) in the era of globalization, as mandated by Law No. 20 of 2003 on National Education System (Sisdiknas). Educational success highly depends on the central role of teachers, particularly in classroom management competence and the ability to stimulate students' learning motivation. This research aims to analyze the influence of classroom management on students' learning motivation at SMA Jaya Negara Makassar, where preliminary findings indicated low student learning motivation. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consists of 160 students, with a sample of 40 individuals selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaire instruments with a Likert Scale to measure Classroom Management and Learning Motivation. Data analysis involved descriptive and inferential statistics (Simple Linear Regression and t-test). Descriptive results indicate that Classroom Management is in the Poor category (average 71), while Learning Motivation is in the Medium category (average 65). Inferential test results show a significant influence between Classroom Management and students' Learning Motivation (P-value 0.001 < 0.05). The conclusion affirms that teachers' skill in managing the classroom is an important predictor in enhancing students' drive to learn. It is recommended to implement a collective increase in teacher competence in classroom management to maximize student motivation and participation.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the influence of teacher Self Efficacy on students’ learning motivation in Economics Social Studies; (2) determine the influence of teachers’ teaching creativity on students’ learning motivation; (3) determine the influence of teacher attitudes on students’ learning motivation; (4) analyze the simultaneous influence of teacher Self Efficacy, teaching creativity, and teacher attitudes on students’ learning motivation; and (5) identify the most dominant variable affecting students’ learning motivation at SMP Negeri 9 Marusu, Maros Regency. The research was conducted from September to November 2025 using an associative quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design. The sample consisted of 155 students selected through proportional random sampling. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability testing. Data were analyzed using classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results of the study indicate that: (1) teacher Self Efficacy has a significant partial effect on students’ learning motivation (t = 3.606, Sig. = 0.000), but becomes insignificant in the simultaneous model (t = –0.531, Sig. = 0.596); (2) teaching creativity has a positive and significant partial effect (t = 5.852, Sig. = 0.000); (3) teacher attitudes have a positive and significant effect (t = 8.008, Sig. = 0.000) and are the most dominant variable, as shown by the highest regression coefficient (B = 1.456; Beta = 0.916); (4) simultaneously, teacher Self Efficacy, teaching creativity, and teacher attitudes significantly influence students’ learning motivation (F = 38.854, Sig. = 0.000); and (5) teacher attitudes are the most dominant predictor, as indicated by B = 1.456 and Beta = 0.916. This means that the more positive the teacher's attitude, the higher the students' learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) examine the effect of an entrepreneurship program using a Design thinking approach on the entrepreneurial spirit of Grade V students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Baraya 1, Makassar City, and (2) examine the effect of an entrepreneurship program using a Design thinking approach on student independence of Grade V students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Baraya 1, Makassar City. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental group that received an entrepreneurship program based on Design thinking and a control group that did not receive the treatment. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring students’ entrepreneurial spirit and independence, supported by documentation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing through an independent samples t-test. The results indicate that the entrepreneurship program using a design thinking approach had a significant positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial spirit and independence. The independent samples t-test revealed that the program significantly improved students’ entrepreneurial spirit (p = 0.002 < 0.05) compared to the control group. Likewise, a very significant effect was found on student independence, with a significance value of p = 0.001 < 0.05. These findings confirm that the application of a design thinking–based entrepreneurship program effectively enhances key entrepreneurial attributes, including creativity, initiative, responsibility, and independence among fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, tingkat motivasi guru, dan tingkat kinerja guru. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SMPN 14 Tanralili Maros yang berjumlah 23 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode sampling jenuh sehingga jumlah sampel sama dengan populasi, yaitu 23 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel (6,292 > 2,086). Motivasi guru juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel (7,236 > 2,086). Selain itu, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi guru secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru SMPN 14 Tanralili Maros dengan kontribusi sebesar 89,4%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi guru berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru di SMPN 14 Tanralili Maros.

Abstract

This community service program aims to increase the economic value of corn in Kampung Sakui-Kui by empowering youth members of Karang Taruna as the main partners in developing creative economic products made from corn. Although the area has abundant corn production potential, its contribution to household income remains low because most harvests are sold in raw form without any added-value processing. To address this issue, the program was implemented through a series of technical trainings on corn processing, production assistance, and capacity building in business management and marketing. This initiative resulted in the creation of value-added corn-based products, particularly corn marning, which offer greater market opportunities. The outcomes show significant improvements in production skills, increased motivation and entrepreneurial awareness among Karang Taruna youth, and emerging potential for enhancing family income through diversified corn-based products. Overall, this program has the potential to serve as a sustainable model for rural creative economic empowerment through the optimization of local agricultural commodities

Abstract

This classroom action research investigates efforts to enhance sixth-grade students’ ability to work together in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning at UPT SDN Unjuruiya No. 45 Selayar Islands by implementing the Team Pair Solo cooperative learning model. The study was conducted to address students’ low collaboration skills and limited positive learning attitudes, which impeded the achievement of optimal learning outcomes. Through two learning cycles consisting of sequential group (team), pair, and individual (solo) activities, the research aimed to improve students’ cooperative abilities and attitudes toward IPAS learning. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and learning attitude assessments, then analyzed descriptively to determine changes in performance. The findings indicated a significant improvement in students’ cooperative skills, as reflected in the increase in the average percentage of collaboration indicators from 69% in Cycle I to 92% in Cycle II, covering aspects of participation, communication, responsibility, tolerance, and emerging leadership. Furthermore, students’ learning attitudes also improved, with mastery increasing from 45% in the initial condition to 100% in Cycle II, and an average score of 87 surpassing the minimum completeness criterion (KKTP) of 70. These results demonstrate that the Team Pair Solo model effectively fosters collaboration while strengthening students’ discipline, responsibility, and enthusiasm in learning. Thus, the model is proven to be a relevant strategy for enhancing cooperative skills and positive learning attitudes in IPAS instruction at the elementary level.
