Abstract

Plug-in electric vehicles are seen to be one way to address environmental problems. Plug-in electric vehicle penetration causes additional issues for the distribution network as the network's load rises. When determining the best location and management plan for a charging station, the primary considerations are power loss, voltage stability, and distribution network dependability. Roads and electrical grids are involved in the challenging task of charging station planning. The charger placement problem examined in this paper was resolved using the Hybrid between Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization (HGAPSO). The HGAPSO strikes an excellent mix between exploration and exploitation. Moreover, HGAPSO reduces the possibility of getting trapped in local optima and early convergence. In comparison to other metaheuristics like Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the HGAPSO in resolving the charger location problem

Abstract

Isolator luar ruang pada sistem tenaga listrik sering mengalami penurunan kinerja akibat kontaminasi polutan dan kelembapan lingkungan.  Kontaminasi berupa garam NaCl dapat meningkatkan konduktivitas  permukaan isolator sehingga memicu terjadinya arus bocor yang  berpotensi menyebabkan kegagalan isolasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menganalisis pengaruh tingkat polusi yang dinyatakan sebagai Equivalent  Salt Deposit Density (ESDD) serta pengaruh proses pengeringan  (selfhealing) terhadap karakteristik arus bocor pada isolator piring keramik berlapis hidrofobik. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui simulasi distribusi  medan listrik menggunakan perangkat lunak Finite Element Method  Magnetics (FEMM) dan pengujian arus bocor di laboratorium tegangan  tinggi. Variasi tegangan uji yang digunakan adalah 10 kV, 20 kV, dan 30 kV  dengan tingkat polusi ESDD sebesar 0 mg/cm²; 0,02 mg/cm²; 0,04 mg/cm²;  dan 0,06 mg/cm². Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan polutan  meningkatkan nilai maksimum medan listrik pada permukaan isolator.  Hasil pengujian laboratorium menunjukkan bahwa arus bocor meningkat  seiring dengan kenaikan ESDD dan tegangan uji. Selain itu, proses  pengeringan mampu menurunkan arus bocor akibat mekanisme  pemulihan hidrofobisitas (self-healing) dari lapisan silikon pada permukaan  isolator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi  tingkat polusi dan tegangan operasi sangat mempengaruhi performa  isolasi isolator keramik, sehingga perlu diperhatikan dalam perencanaan  dan pemeliharaan sistem tenaga listrik. Abstract

Peningkatan penggunaan kendaraan listrik sebagai solusi transportasi ramah lingkungan mendorong pengembangan sistem pengisian daya  yang lebih cepat dan efisien. Salah satu kendala utama dalam  implementasi fast charging adalah waktu pengisian yang relatif lama serta  adanya ripple arus pada keluaran konverter DC-DC yang dapat  menurunkan efisiensi sistem dan mempercepat degradasi baterai. Oleh  karena itu, diperlukan topologi konverter yang mampu menhasilkan arus  keluaran yang lebih stabil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis  karakteristik topologi konverter multifasa DC-DC dalam mengurangi ripple  arus pada sistem fast charging kendaraan listrik serta menentukan  topologi yang optimal. Kinerja konverter dievaluasi berdasarkan  karakteristik ripple arus keluaran serta kestabilan arus pengisian, serta  dibandingkan dengan konverter konvensional satu fasa. Hasil penelitian  diharapkan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan topologi multifasa dengan  metode interleaving mampu meningkatkan kualitas arus keluaran dan  mendukung performa sistem fast charging yang lebih andal. Abstract

Small-scale wind turbines (SSWT) encounter a primary issue in power extraction, making the integration of DC-DC converters with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) crucial for performance enhancement. This study focuses on an evaluation of basic DC-DC converters, which offer many benefits when applied to SSWT systems. By considering efficiency, suitability, and electrical stress aspects, six DC-DC converter topologies consisting of boost, buck-boost, SEPIC, Cuk, zeta, and Luo, were tested under perturb and observe (P&O) and incremental conductance (INC) MPPT strategies. A 6.5-kW SSWT system, including a DC-DC converter and MPPT was designed in detail using PSIM. The results show that boost converter demonstrated the best overall performance in terms of power extraction, efficiency, and stress reduction, although its operation was limited to a narrower wind speed range. The zeta converter achieved efficiency and power extraction comparable to the boost converter with stable operation over a broader wind speed range, while the buck–boost converter offered step-up/step-down capability but experienced higher voltage and current stress. The SEPIC and Cuk converters showed low overall performance compared to others, whereas the Luo converter was better suited for low-wind-speed conditions.
