Abstract

This research investigates the effect of individual users' absorptive capacity to the usage of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) at PT ABC, a transportation company in Indonesia. Utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This study tests the relationships between three facets of absorptive capacity and ERP usage. This study revealed that among aspects of absorptive capacity, only the capacity associated with applying ERP knowledge directly affects ERP usage. Meanwhile, prior understanding and proficiency in integrating ERP systems have a significant indirect impact on ERP usage performance. Based on these findings, it is suggested that PT ABC strengthens individual employees' absorptive capacities and encourages them to acquire ERP expertise before implementation. Moreover, cultivating a culture that supports collaboration and knowledge sharing is crucial for maximizing the benefits of ERP systems within the organization. Implementing these strategies is expected to improve ERP adoption outcomes at PT ABC

Abstract

Cross-border trade has existed for a long time and is growing rapidly. The World Trade Organization (WTO), founded in 1995, regulates international trade with principles inherited from GATT. Indonesia, as a member of the WTO, implements halal certification obligations for foreign products in accordance with Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021. However, this implementation can create trade barriers involving differences in requirements, costs, infrastructure limitations and consumer trust. This research aims to find out how the implementation of mandatory halal certification in Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021 on foreign products in Indonesia and to find out whether the implementation of mandatory halal certification in this regulation is an obstacle to trade from the perspective of the Technical Barrier to Trade Agreement. This research uses a type of normative juridical research which is also known as a literature approach. In addition, this research uses a comparative legal research model in which in this research there are two legal sources that are compared, namely Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021 and Technical Barrier to Trade Agreement. The research results show that the implementation of mandatory halal certification on foreign products through Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021 does not constitute an obstacle to trade from the perspective of the Technical Barrier to Trade Agreement because it aims to protect human health and protection for the Indonesian Muslim community as stated in article XX (b) of the TBT Agreement. The existence of Government Regulation no. 39 of 2021 which regulates halal certification obligations and its implementation for foreign products in Indonesia is actually in line with the principles of the TBT Agreement (Technical Barriers to Trade). In the context of the TBT Agreement, the government has the right to regulate products to maintain public health and safety and to ensure compliance with halal principles which are a religious requirement in Indonesia.

Abstract

Access to safe water remains a significant issue, with around 5.8 billion people lacking access to potable water globally. Rapid and accurate identification of water safety is thereby essential to reduce public waterborne diseases. However, conventional laboratory-based testing is typically time-consuming and expensive. On the other hand, machine learning provides time- and cost-effective assessments based on physicochemical properties. Unfortunately, most studies only evaluate a single model type in a small dataset, resulting in limited insight that makes it hard to determine the actual effectiveness of these models. To address this limitation, the present study conducts a comparative analysis of three machine learning paradigms: ensemble-based, neural network-based, and instance-based models. Using a publicly available dataset of 7,999 samples, each model is evaluated using key performance metrics, including accuracy, precision, and confusion matrix analysis. The evaluation results show that the ensemble-based model achieves the highest accuracy of 96.62% and precision of 96.53%, outperforming the neural network-based model, which achieves an accuracy of 94.75% and precision of 70.47%. Additionally, the instance-based model achieves an accuracy of 91.12% and a precision of 83.04%. These results indicate the effectiveness of the ensemble-based model for real-time water quality monitoring.
