Abstract

A steer-by-wire (SBW) system with linear sensors has been developed and implemented on a small electric vehicle (EV). This system comprises a steering wheel, an angle and torque sensor, a wheel angle feedback sensor, an electric motor actuator, linkages, and a controller. It is specifically designed to electrically control the wheel angles without utilizing a conventional steering gearbox. The electric actuator motor is mounted on the steering mechanism and directly connected to the left and right wheel knuckles via linkages. Two linear sensors are employed: one located on the steering wheel to generate steering wheel angle signal , and the other installed on the wheel knuckle mechanism to produce front wheel angle feedback signal . When the driver rotates the steering wheel, the controller calculates the pitch error based on inputs from the two linear sensors and subsequently adjusts the wheel angles by powering the electric motor actuator. Experimental testing revealed a response time of 0.3 seconds, with the pitch error maintained within an angle of less than 3° during straight-motion tests. During cornering motion tests, the measured backlash was approximately 0.06 rad, demonstrating the system's responsive performance. This SBW technology with linear sensors is anticipated to reduce system complexity while enhancing precision, accuracy, and response speed of wheel angle adjustments to steering inputs, effectively meeting driving requirements.

Abstract

Public street lighting (PJU) is critical because it affects the safety and security of road users, particularly at night when appropriate lighting is required. Inadequate street illumination can be harmful to society, increasing the likelihood of accidents and street crime. Mr. Muhammad, the Head of Gondosuli Village in the Pakuniran district, underlines the need for public street lighting. In this context, public street lighting is particularly required for activities in the region at night, so that it can encourage tourism, security, accessibility, and increase community welfare because the existing street lighting in Gondosuli is very inadequate. As a result, these partners considered the development of public street lighting (PJU) as a critical necessity in the region. Polycrystalline photovoltaics (PV) are a form of solar cell that generates electricity from sunlight. Polycrystalline PV is made from a semiconductor material like silicon that has been manufactured into tiny wafers with crystals aligned in diverse directions. Solar Photovoltaic Power Generation (PLTS) systems utilize polycrystalline photovoltaics (polycrystalline PV).

Abstract

In the contemporary era marked by the beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0), the world of education faces unprecedented challenges in preparing students to face the demands of a rapidly evolving technological and industrial environment. In response, educational institutions, especially vocational schools such as SMK N 2 Probolinggo, strive to improve the competencies of their students so that they can effectively navigate and contribute to the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This research initiative stems from the awareness of the critical need to align educational practices with emerging trends and the requirements of the contemporary industrial landscape. SMK N 2 Probolinggo recognizes the importance of equipping its students with relevant skills and competencies that will enable them to thrive in an industry marked by automation, digitalization, and technological advancement. The use of electric bicycle trainers as a new learning medium signifies a proactive approach in integrating innovative pedagogical methods with real-world technology applications. By utilizing electric bicycle trainers, students are provided with hands-on experiences that simulate real-world scenarios, enabling them to develop technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and adaptability that are essential for success in the Industrial Revolution 4.0

Abstract

Seboro Village is located in Krejengan District, Probolinggo, East Java Province, with an area of ​​94.75 ha (4.50 mi²) consisting of residential land, agricultural land, public facilities, and plantations. The main agricultural products in Seboro Village are rice in the rainy season and tobacco in the dry season. Seboro Village agriculture plays a very important role in maintaining food security because rice is the main raw material for food and also as the main agricultural producer. In the process of planting rice in Seboro Village itself, it is still relatively traditional, only using hands for the planting process in rice fields, so it requires a lot of workers so that the rice seedling planting process is completed quickly. On the other hand, the planting distance between rice seedlings is not the same so that it can interfere with the growth process between rice plants. Therefore, this community service activity proposes a hand-pushed rice planting tool or Smart Rice Transplanter (SRT) which is a tool to help plant rice in agricultural land efficiently and effectively without having to involve many workers. By using the Smart Rice Transplanter (SRT), it can also produce maximum rice harvest production because there is a system for providing planting distance when planting rice seedlings.

Abstract

Pelatihan desain logo dan video promosi yang diselenggarakan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan 1 Malang ini bertujuan untuk membekali peserta dengan keterampilan dasar dalam desain grafis dan videografi. Melalui perpaduan antara demonstrasi dan praktik langsung, peserta diperkenalkan dengan prinsip-prinsip dasar desain logo, seperti kesederhanaan, keunikan, dan relevansi visual, serta teknik dasar dalam membuat video promosi, meliputi storyboard, komposisi, dan pemilihan sudut kamera. Meskipun peserta tidak menghasilkan produk akhir berupa logo atau video promosi untuk produk Kopi Lapas, pelatihan ini memberikan dasar yang kuat dalam memahami visual branding dan komunikasi pemasaran. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peserta memahami dan menerapkan konsep dasar yang diajarkan, namun diperlukan sesi tambahan untuk mencapai tingkat keahlian yang lebih tinggi. Antusiasme peserta mencerminkan keberhasilan pelatihan dalam memberikan pengetahuan yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam upaya pemasaran di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The Technology and Innovation Dissemination Program in Kedungbanteng Village, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, aims to increase melon farmers' productivity through IoT technology and access to revolving funds. This village is known to produce high-quality melons with export potential, but farmers still face significant challenges. The main problems of partners are the low understanding of modern agricultural technology and limited access to capital. Most farmers still rely on conventional methods, such as manual greenhouses, which hinder production efficiency. The solutions offered include two main approaches. The first is the application of IoT technology in melon cultivation in greenhouses to increase productivity and efficiency. The implementation stages include needs identification, sensor installation, and farmer training. Second, farmers are provided access to revolving funds, accompanied by financial management training and the preparation of sustainable business plans. This program is designed to help farmers obtain capital at affordable interest rates and make adopting new technologies more accessible. The method of implementing the activity includes direct training to farmers on the use of IoT technology and financial management, installation and testing of IoT devices in greenhouses, and technical assistance on an ongoing basis. In addition, assistance is carried out by supervising revolving funds and farming training to ensure optimal implementation. The output targets of this program are an increase in melon productivity by 30% in a year, a reduction in operational costs by 20%, and an increase in farmers' understanding of IoT technology and financial management skills. This program is also expected to increase the greenhouse area and farmers' access to capital.

Abstract

Upaya untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran pedagogi mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Seni Budaya dilakukan melalui pengembangan konten Learning Management System (LMS) yang inovatif dan terintegrasi dengan proyek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila di sekolah mitra. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap seni budaya, serta terbangunnya karakter yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan desain LMS yang interaktif, pelatihan guru, dan implementasi proyek di sekolah mitra. Hasil dari upaya ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterlibatan mahasiswa dan efektivitas pembelajaran yang signifikan, serta penguatan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Implementasi LMS yang inovatif ini memberikan dampak positif dalam pembelajaran seni budaya dan pengembangan karakter mahasiswa PPG, yang tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan seni budaya tetapi juga memperkuat landasan karakter yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila.

Abstract

Mutu guru SMK dipandang perlu ditingkatkan. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh tingginya guru SMK belum memiliki sertifikat pendidik dan sertifikat kompetensi keahlian. Sertifikasi pendidik menjadi indikator bahwa guru tersebut telah ditetapkan memenuhi syarat dan lolos uji kompetensi menjadi guru profesional. Di sisi lain, penetapan tersebut menjadi indikator guru SMK tersebut menguasai ilmu kompetensi tertentu. Masalahnya tidak semua guru mendapatkan kesempatan mengikuti program/pelatihan baik yang diselenggarakan resmi pemerintah maupun swasta untuk meningkatkan penguasaan substansi ilmu. Tim pengabdian masyarakat S1 Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif UM melatih guru-guru teknik otomotif di SMK untuk meningkatkan substansi ilmu-nya. Survei lokasi, materi pelatihan, jadwal, peralatan, perlengkapan, dan evaluasi instruktur adalah semua pendekatan pelatihan. Pelatihan fail-safe system dilaksanakan secara offline sesuai prokes di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Malang, hasilnya terjadi peningkatan substansi ilmu guru yang dibuktikan dengan rerata skor posttest (85,88) > rerata skor pretest (55,88). Perbedaannya signifikan, Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 pada 0,05.

Abstract

Penerapan Self Adhesive Labelling Machine di Dusun Sanggrahan, Desa Jugo, Kecamatan Kesamben, telah meningkatkan efisiensi pelabelan kemasan produk bagi usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi pelabelan sekaligus mengurangi biaya produksi. Mesin ini mengurangi waktu pelabelan hingga 50% dibandingkan dengan metode manual, meningkatkan produktivitas dan memungkinkan UMKM memenuhi permintaan pasar dengan lebih efektif. Teknologi ini tidak hanya meminimalkan kesalahan manusia, tetapi juga meningkatkan konsistensi dan profesionalisme produk, yang berdampak pada manfaat ekonomi seperti penurunan biaya tenaga kerja dan peningkatan margin keuntungan. Adopsi teknologi ini, didukung oleh program pelatihan, juga mendorong pola pikir yang lebih inovatif di kalangan pengusaha lokal, memastikan praktik bisnis yang berkelanjutan dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Peningkatan konsumsi kopi di Indonesia, khususnya di Malang, telah menciptakan peluang kerja signifikan di industri kopi, terutama bagi barista. Menjadi barista terampil membutuhkan pelatihan khusus. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ini, program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) oleh LPPM Universitas Negeri Malang dilaksanakan di Lapas Kelas 1 Malang. Tujuan program ini adalah memberikan pelatihan teknik dasar pembuatan kopi dan keterampilan barista kepada narapidana, membekali mereka dengan keterampilan praktis untuk masa depan setelah masa penahanan. Program ini melibatkan Lapas Kelas 1 Malang sebagai mitra, dengan peserta narapidana dan staf penjara. Metode pelaksanaannya mencakup survei awal untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pelatihan, analisis masalah, dan pemecahan masalah melalui koordinasi dengan pihak lapas. Pelatihan dipimpin oleh Dr. Otto Fajarianto dan instruktur barista profesional Bapak Hikmat Ramdhani. Peserta diberikan demonstrasi langsung teknik pembuatan kopi dan praktik langsung, diikuti evaluasi keterampilan yang diperoleh selama pelatihan. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan praktis peserta, peningkatan rasa percaya diri, dan dampak positif pada dinamika sosial di dalam penjara. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini berhasil memberikan keterampilan yang relevan dan penting kepada narapidana, yang diharapkan dapat membantu reintegrasi mereka ke masyarakat secara lebih efektif setelah masa penahanan mereka.
