Abstract

Upaya pengembangan e-modul biologi berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal masih belum banyak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah-sekolah yang berada di Kota Ternate, salah satunya adalah mata pelajaran biologi. Dengan perkembangan dan kemajuan pendidikan dan tuntutan kurikulum saat ini maka guru dituntut mampu berinovasi dengan mendesain bahan ajar misalnya membuat bahan ajar menggunakan aplikasi canva design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul mata pelajaran biologi yang mengintegrasikan potensi dan kearifan lokal Ternate dalam setiap sub topik yang diajarkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (RD) dengan meggunakan model ADDIE. Pengembangan e-modul pembelajaran biologi kelas X SMA berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal sebagai penunjang pembelajaran abad 21 ini menggunakan model pengembangan addie, data penelitian diperoleh secara langsung dari lokasi penelitian yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan referensi yang sesuai untuk menghasilkan e-modul pembelajaran biologi yang dikembangkan. Hasil penilaian kelayakan e-modul pembelajaran biologi berdasarkan uji validasi ahli  secara keseluruhan dari kesepuluh aspek penilaian e-modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis potensi dan kearifan lokal  sebagai penunjang pembelajaran abad 21 di SMA yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori sangat valid dengan rata-rata persentase secara keseluruhan yaitu 81%. Hasi uji respon pengguna  dari kalangan guru yang mengajar mata pelajaran biologi mendapatkan persentase 82% ini memberikan informasi bahwa e-modul pembelajaran biologi yang dikembangakan sudah layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of the local potential-based Discovery Learning model on improving 21st-century skills and students' understanding of the science process in seventh-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Sahabat Cendikia Kota Ternate, who come from diverse cultural backgrounds. The research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, involving 40 students from classes VIIA and VIIB as samples. The instruments used were 21st-century skills tests and tests of the science process understanding of multiracial students. Inferential statistical analysis shows a significant effect (p0.05) of the implementation of local potential-based Discovery Learning on improving the 21st-century skills of multiracial students (p=0.013) and the understanding of the science process of multiracial students (p=0.000). This can be interpreted that the use of Discovery Learning based on local potential is effective in developing both aspects. Additionally, the results of this study reveal how multi-ethnic students with different learning styles can achieve the same learning goals and appreciate diversity during and after using Discovery Learning based on the local potential of Ternate Island.

Abstract

Setiap siswa akan memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap yang sesuai dengan standart pendidikan nasional. Hal ini dapat terjadi apabila seorang guru memiliki kemampuan dalam mendesain dan memodifikasi suatu model pembelajaran yang baik, sehingga berdampak pada keberhasilan peningkatan mutu dan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) melalui proses pendidikan yang telah dilakukannya. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan pendekatan STEAM terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII SMPS Dian Todahe. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada SMP Dian Todahe dan SMPN 9 Halmahera Barat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dari penerapan atau penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) berpendekatan STEAM yaitu dengan adanya peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif, artinya dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran PjBL berpendekatan STEAM terjadi peningkatan pemahaman pengetahuan siswa yang signifikan. Jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran yang hanya menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) tanpa pendekatan STEAM. Kondisi terlihat dari data hasil belajar kognitif yang rata-rata nilai hasil belajar pretest pada kelas eksperimen adalah 43.85, Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol rata-rata nilai prestest adalah 43.67. Setelah tindakan penelitian dilaksanakan yakni dengan pembelajaran model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berpendekatan STEAM rata-rata nilai postest mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dari rata-rata nilai pretest yaitu pada kelas eksperimen hasil belajar adalah 80,38. Dan pada kelas kontrol juga mengalami peningkatan nilai postest yaitu hasil belajar menjadi 73,67. Data hasil belajar kognitif yang diperoleh pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model PjBL berpendekatan STEAM lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil kognitif siswa yang proses pembelajaran yang hanya menggunakan model PjBL murni.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis validitas dari rancangan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) pembelajaran mikro reflektif untuk mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan. Validator ahli dalam penelitian ini adalah ahli bahasa dan ahli materi masing-masing berjumlah 9 orang. Instrumen untuk pengambilan data berbentuk angket. Data yang diperoleh dalam bentuk sekala rating kemudian ditransformasi menjadi data kuantitatif dalam bentuk persen. Data persen kemudian dikategorisasi validitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata persentase validitas SOP menurut ahli materi sebesar 94,7% dan dikategorikan sangat valid, sedangkan menurut ahli bahasa sebesar 96,5% dan dikategorikan sangat valid.

Abstract

The critical and creative thinking skills (CCTs) of junior high school students remain at a low level. Following this phenomenon, this research was conducted to explore the potential of the Problem Based-Learning model (PBL) to enhance students' CCTs, using a single class with a single group pretest-posttest design involving the ninth-grade students from State Junior High School in Malang, Indonesia. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data was gathered through evaluation instruments in the form of pretest and posttest results. In addition to the aforementioned instruments, teaching modules and student worksheets were employed in the data collection process. The data analysis was performed using a number of tests, including the Shapiro-Wilk data normality test, Wilcoxon test, and N-Gain test. In particular, these tests were carried out to evaluate changes in scores. The research findings indicated that the implementation of PBL was effective and significantly successful in improving students' thinking skills, especially their CCTs. This is evidenced by the Wilcoxon test results, which resulted a significance value of less than 0.05, as well as a high N-Gain increase for critical thinking (0.7001) and a medium category for creative thinking (0.5826). Therefore, these findings can serve as recommendations concerning the role of PBL in improving students' two thinking skills (CCTs).

Abstract

The objective of this study was to ascertain the impact of critical thinking skills on the learning outcomes of junior high school students, with the Self- Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) learning model serving as the experimental framework. The research methodology employed was quasi- experimental, with a research design of nonequivalent control group design. In this study, the experimental class was Grade 8 A Class, while the control class was Grade 8 C class. The SOLE learning model demonstrated a statistically significant effect on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes, as evidenced by the t-test results with a value of 0.05 < 0.000. The N-gain score for the SOLE learning model revealed that 51.5% of the learning outcomes were less effective, while 56.8% of the critical thinking skills were moderately effective. In contrast, the control class in the Discovery Learning learning model achieved 32.3% in learning outcomes and 38.2% in critical thinking skills, both of which were ineffective. The results of the research indicate that critical thinking skills and junior high school science learning outcomes are significantly influenced by the SOLE learning model.

Abstract

Facing the era of Society 5.0, competence and adaptation are important aspects in education. The transition from Industrial Revolution 4.0 to Society 5.0 demands 21st century skills, with a focus on 4C skills (Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, and Inventiveness and Innovation), needs to be integrated in the teaching and learning process. But in reality, collaboration skills and student learning outcomes are still low, especially in the circulatory system material which is considered difficult. This research aims to develop Enjoyable Learning-based learning media, which is expected to improve collaboration skills and student learning outcomes. The method used was R&D with the ADDIE model which involved analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this research were 44 8th grade students and 2 junior high school science teachers at SMP Nasional Malang. The results of validation by experts showed that ELCOCS (Enjoyable Learning for Collaboration Skills on Circulatory System) media has a very valid category with a media validity percentage of 84.4% and material validity of 87.91%. The practicality test by teachers and students also showed a very practical category with a percentage of teacher practicality of 94.4% and student practicality of 87.65%. The excellent results from the validity and practicality tests indicate that this media is not only suitable for use but also has the potential to improve collaborative skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Students' scientific literacy skills are currently relatively low, one of the influencing factors is the lack of use of learning media that can train students' scientific literacy skills. This research aims to develop ELGASE (Enjoyable Learning Gangguan Sistem Ekskresi) media that is valid and practical. The media developed is not only to train students' scientific literacy skills, but also as an effort to make learning strategies more enjoyable for students. The method used in this research is RnD (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model including needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. At the implementation stage, this research stopped at the teacher and student practicality tests. The results indicate that the ELGASE learning media is both valid and practical, receiving high scores from 2 expert evaluations and positive feedback from students and teachers. The media validation results have a very valid category, namely 91.4% for media validation and 92.5% for material validation. The results of the practicality test by teachers and students obtained presentations of 82.4% and 92% respectively in the very practical category. In conclusion, the developed ELGASE learning media is valid and practical for use in educational settings, providing a valuable tool for improving science literacy and making learning more enjoyable for students.

Abstract

Mangrove merupakan ekosistem yang merupakan habitat bagi berbagai biota perairan maupun di darat. Penelitian yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan distribusi dan struktur komunitas hutan mangrove di Pulau Donrotu, Guratu dan Manomadehe Kecamatan Jailolo Selatan, Kabupaten Halmahera Barat, Maluku Utara. Pelaksanaan penelitian pada bulan April-Juni 2019. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan metode spot check. Analisis data distribusi mangrove dilakukan secara kualitatif, sedangkan struktur komunitas secara kuantitatif meliputi kerapatan jenis (Di), kerapatan relatif jenis (RDi), frekuensi jenis (Fi), frekuensi relatif jenis (Rfi), penutupan jenis (Ci), penutupan relatif jenis (RCi), Nilai penting (VIi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mangrove jenis Rhizophora stylosa pada ketiga pulau (Pulau Donrotu, Guratu dan Manomadehe) memiliki nilai kerapatan jenis dan kerapatan relatif jenis yang lebih tinggi. Penutupan jenis dan penutupan relatif jenis bervariasi. Jenis R. stylosa juga memiliki nilai penting yang lebih tinggi di ketiga Pulau. Kerapatan mangrove tertinggi ditemukan di Pulau Donrotu (0,96 ind/m2), kemudian Pulau Guratu (0,46 ind/m2) dan Pulau Manomadehe (0,32 ind/m2).

Abstract

Bioinformatika saat ini telah menjadi ilmu yang penting bagi para saintis. Kenyataanya, pemahaman para guru dalam materi bioinformatika khususnya dalam pemanfaatan data GenBank masih perlu ditingkatkan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan keterampilan pemanfaatan fungsi GenBank dan analisis dendogram pada guru-guru biologi. Pengabdian berupa pelatihan Bioinformatika bagi guru-guru MGMP Biologi SMA se-Kota Ternate. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 21 guru biologi dari sembilan SMA negeri dan swasta. Keterampilan peserta termasuk kategori sangat baik yakni nilai 95 pada keterampilan memanfaatkan fungsi GenBank dan 84 pada keterampilan analisis dendogram. Peserta juga merespon positif dengan kategori baik sekali terhadap pemateri dan isi materi dengan memberikan nilai rata-rata yakni 95,87 untuk pemateri dan 93.68 terhadap konten yang disampaikan. Secara umum, pelatihan bioinformatika ini termasuk sangat berhasil dan dapat dilanjutkan dengan sasaran yang lebih luas meliputi Kota Tidore dengan materi yang lebih bervariatif.
