Abstract

This study aims to develop a 3D animation-based relaxation video tutorial to help reduce students’ exam anxiety. The objectives are to (1) identify the need for the media, (2) design its prototype, (3) test its validity, and (4) assess its practicality. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection involved interviews, the TAI-G scale, and questionnaires. Ten students from SMAN 2 Luwu Utara joined a small group trial. The results showed that the media was highly needed, with landscape orientation, animated characters, a counseling room background, formal dress, cartoon animation style, balanced colors, and warm lighting. The prototype lasts about 15 minutes with five segments: introduction, breathing relaxation, muscle relaxation, Guided Imagery, and closing. Validation by two material experts scored 93% and 88% (very valid); two media experts gave 98% (very valid). The practicality test by a Guidance and Counseling teacher scored 89% (very practical) and students’ responses reached 92% (very practical). These results indicate that the relaxation video is valid, practical, and feasible for use in Guidance and Counseling services to help students manage exam-related anxiety.

Abstract

This study examines the learning interests of students from broken homes and how they are handled at a vocational high school in Soppeng. The objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the learning interest of student AIS, (2) identify the factors that influence AIS’s learning interest, and (3) explain the efforts made to address AIS’s learning interest issues. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subject is one student, referred to as AIS. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that: (1) AIS’s learning interest is categorized as low, indicated by frequent school absences, tardiness, lack of enthusiasm, indifference to lessons, and rarely completing assignments. (2) The factors contributing to AIS’s low learning interest include a lack of intrinsic motivation, limited parental support, and emotional neglect following the death of AIS’s mother. (3) The intervention to address AIS’s low learning interest was carried out through reality counseling using the WDEP system, consisting of four stages: exploring Wants, Doing, self-Evaluation, and Planning.

Abstract

his research examines the implementation of group counseling services using the role-playing technique to improve students' interpersonal relationships at SMP Negeri 49 Makassar. The main objectives of this research are: (1) To determine the description of the level of interpersonal relationships before and after being given group counseling services using the role-playing technique, (2) To understand how the implementation of group counseling services with the role-playing technique can improve the interpersonal relationships of students at SMPN 49 Makassar, (3) To identify the effect of group counseling services using the role-playing technique on improving students' interpersonal relationships at SMPN 49 Makassar.This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Based on calculations using SPSS 20 with an independent t-test, the significance value (2-tailed) was found to be less than 0.05, namely 0.002 < 0.05, indicating that the implementation of group counseling services using the role-playing technique can significantly improve students’ interpersonal relationships

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of cognitive restructuring techniques in reducing self-injurious behavior among students at State Vocational High School XYZ. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group. The sample consisted of ten students selected purposively based on indications of self-injurious behavior, divided into two groups: five students in the experimental group and five in the control group. Data were collected through non-participant observation and a self-injury  behavior scale, and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results revealed a significant decrease in self-injurious behavior scores in the experimental group after receiving cognitive restructuring intervention, shifting from a high to a low category, while the control group showed no meaningful change. Statistical analysis indicated a significance value of 0.009, confirming a significant difference between the two groups. These findings demonstrate that cognitive restructuring techniques are effective in helping students identify, challenge, and modify negative thought patterns that trigger self-injurious behavior, thereby enabling them to develop more adaptive and healthy coping strategies in managing emotional distress.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of local UMKM-based E-Modules to increase high school students' entrepreneurial interest. Using a pretest-posttest one group design, this pre-experimental quantitative research involved 12 students who were randomly selected to take part in career guidance services with information materials from the Local UMKM-Based Career E-Module. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing relying on the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results showed a significant increase in students' interest in entrepreneurship after the intervention, with statistical analysis confirming the effectiveness of the E-Module. In conclusion, contextualized education in career guidance, supports wider application to increase entrepreneurial interest among high school students. The main findings are in line with the SCCT theory, which explains that exposure to local MSME actor models can increase students' entrepreneurial interest. Future research suggestions should involve a larger and varied sample from different schools and different locations.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a serious issue that impacts students' well-being. Addressing this problem effectively requires innovative preventive approaches. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a group guidance module designed to prevent bullying behavior in high schools. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method based on the modified Borg and Gall model, encompassing needs analysis, planning and development, expert validation, and small group trials. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires at UPT SMAN 1 Pangkep. The results indicate that the developed module was rated highly suitable by experts, with an average feasibility score above 80%. Small group trials demonstrated the module's effectiveness in raising students' awareness of bullying and promoting positive behaviors. Overall, the module was well-received by students and teachers as a preventive tool for addressing bullying. In conclusion, this group guidance module proved to be effective and can be implemented to create a safe and conducive learning environment, enhancing students' social skills in preventing and addressing bullying.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the needs of high school students for entrepreneurial career guidance to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. A descriptive quantitative approach with a survey model was employed, involving 30 randomly selected students from a high school in Sidrap Regency. The survey questionnaire was validated by experts and distributed online via Google Forms. The validity and reliability tests indicated that all items in both questionnaires were valid for use. Data analysis utilized the general percentage formula for Respondent Achievement Level (RAL). As shown in Table 1, students indicated a preference for E-Modules (90%), followed by projects or simulations (82%), and social media (70%). According to Table 2, students were interested in content such as success stories of young entrepreneurs (92%), the importance of entrepreneurial spirit (86%), and key entrepreneurial concepts (86%). These findings provide guidance for counseling teachers to develop E-Module products that include young entrepreneur success stories, the importance of entrepreneurship, key entrepreneurial concepts, and utilize social media support as well as project or simulation-based evaluations in entrepreneurial career guidance.

Abstract

Pikiran irasional yang dialami oleh konseli EM secara tidak langsung menghambat proses kelancaran EM dalam bersosialisasi dengan teman sebaya. Pikiran irasional tersebut menjadikan konseli memiliki kecemasan dan kebimbangan untuk bersosialisasi. Apalagi konseli termasuk perantau di Pulau Jawa ini dan tidak bersama orang tua, sehingga membutuhkan teman untuk curhat. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang pendekatan rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) dengan teknik dispute kognitif mengatasi pikiran irasional terhadap orang lain pada siswi XII TAV di SMK Gamaliel 1 Madiun. Pemberian bantuan dengan menggunakan REBT diterapkan untuk memperbaiki cara pandang pasien terhadap keadaan yang sedang dihadapi. Teknik cognitive dispute mengubah pikiran irasional konseli menjadi rasional. Pada tahap ini konseli diajarkan bahwa mereka mempunyai potensi untuk mengubah hal tersebut. Pada Tahap pertama yang dilakukan konseli adalah melakukan pembekalan mengenai proses konseling, tahap kedua konseli dibantu untuk yakin bahwa pemikiran dan perasaan negatif tersebut dapat ditantang dan diubah, Tahap ke tiga, konseli mengembangkan pikiran rasional agar tidak terjebak pada masalahnya, dan untuk tahapan ke empat ini, mengevaluasi kemajuan konseli. Dengan cognitive dispute dapat memberikan perubahan positif pada konseli, dapat mengelola dampak dari pikiran irasionalnya. Hal tersebut dapat ditunjukkan dengan adanya perubahan pikiran rasional konseli.

Abstract

Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi kecemasan setelah diberikan layanan konseling individual melalui pendekatan REBT dengan teknik kognitif. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa siswi di SMP Marie Joseph. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menyusun RPL konseling Individual yang berisi tentang penerapan pendekatan REBT dengan teknik kognitif dikaitkan dengan kasus yang dialami konseli. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 3 kali konseling dengan konseli yang berbeda beda dalam kasus yang relatif-mirip. Ada beberapa tahab konseling ada yang dilakukan oleh konselor beberapa di antaranya ialah identifikasi, diagnosa, tindakan konseling. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan konselor adalah wawancara dan observasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi pengurangan kecemasan. Hal ini dapat terlihat setelah mengikuti konseling konselor dapat melihat dari hasil lembar evaluasi dan observasi perilaku konseli. Terlihat bahwa konseli dapat mengurangi rasa cemas yang selama ini di alami oleh konseling.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is, 1. To determine the description of self-esteem before and after the implementation of group counseling based on the philosophy of siri’ na pacce, 2. To determine the implementation of group counseling based on the philosophy of siri’ na pacce, 3. To determine the effect of group counseling based on the philosophy of siri’ na pacce in increasing student’s self-esteem at SMP IT Anugrah Hidayah Makassar. This research used true xperimental with pre-test post-test design. The population in this study amounted to 20 people and the sample 16 people used the proportionate stratified random sampling method. The result of the data analysis test show 1. The level of self-esteem before being given treatment is in the low category and after being given treatment the level of student’s self-esteem increase, 2. The implementation of these services includes the planning, design, implementation and evaluation stages, 3.after being given treatment in the form ogf group counseling based on the philoophy of siri’ na pacce, it is found that student’s self-esteem incerased.
