Abstract

This paper examines the effect of tilt angle and tracking modes on energy performance of a PV system under Iraqi weather conditions. A 5-kWdc rooftop residential PV system is modeled and simulated using system advisor model (SAM) to investigate its optimal configuration of tilt angle and tracking axes for maximum energy extraction. The system is simulated with meteorological datasets for all 18 Iraqi provinces. The effect of soiling losses due to dust accumulation on incident irradiance and energy generation is considered as most Iraqi territories suffer from frequent dust storms yearly. The system annual AC energy and optimal tilt angles are evaluated and compared in five different scenarios including fixed-axis with tilt at latitude, fixed-axis with tilt at annual optimal angle, fixed-axis with tilt at monthly annual angle, one-axis tracking and dual-axis tracking. The results showed that considerable amount of energy is left unharnessed in fixed-axis scenarios when tilt angles are adjusted at latitude and optimal annual values. Using optimal monthly tilt with fixed-axis improved energy extraction by 5-6% for all locations. Energy performance is further improved with one axis tracking. Dual-axis tracking achieved highest energy yield compared to other scenarios. Overall, mid-south provinces provided highest energy opportunities among others.

Abstract

The New Student Admission (PPDB) process in high schools is complex and requires efficient management to avoid long queues and errors in data processing. Until now, the Re-registration of New Student Admissions in high schools has always involved hundreds of prospective students in one school, resulting in long service and waiting times. Therefore, a solution is needed to address these issues and optimize available resources. This study uses the Multi Channels Single Phase (M/M/c) method with the Multi Channels Multi Phase (M/M/s) method. Modeling and simulation can help identify factors affecting latency, service time, and the number of students that can be served within a specific period. This can assist schools in planning their student population and optimizing the use of available resources. Based on data analysis, discussion, and conclusions from the comparison of two Modeling and Queue Simulation Methods in the re-registration process of New Student Admissions at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang, namely the Multi Channel-Single Phase and Multi Channel-Multi Phase Methods.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the user experience of MyTelkomsel application using the Modular Evaluation of Key Components of User Experience (MeCUE) 2.0 method. The growth of telecommunications technology and increased smartphone usage highlights the importance of apps that efficiently meet user needs. Although MyTelkomsel offers a wide range of services, many users have reported difficulties using certain features and dissatisfaction with the service, as seen in reviews on platforms like the Play Store, indicating challenges with user experience. This research focuses on identifying where the app meets user needs and where improvements are necessary. The findings show that while the app performs well in terms of usability and usefulness (scoring 6.31 and 6.25, respectively), it scores lower in commitment (4.64) and intention to use (4.74). These results suggest that while the app is functionally effective, improvements are still needed to enhance user loyalty and engagement.
