Abstract

Sebanyak minimal 20 warga mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil evaluasi awal menunjukkan sebagian besar peserta memiliki pengetahuan terbatas terkait manfaat gizi, pemanfaatan kulit jeruk, dan teknik pengolahan. Setelah pelatihan, terjadi peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan sebesar 56,25%.

Abstract

This article presents a critical review of Morgan Housel’s bestselling book, "The Psychology of Money", through the lens of behavioral finance. Housel argues that financial outcomes are driven more by human behavior and psychological factors than by technical knowledge or intelligence. The review evaluates key themes in the book—such as risk, luck, greed, patience, compounding, and the emotional dimensions of money-while linking them to foundational theories in behavioral economics by scholars like Kahneman, Tversky, Thaler, and Shefrin. Although the book lacks formal empirical methodology, its narrative-driven approach effectively communicates complex financial ideas to a broad audience. The review also highlights the pedagogical value of the book and its relevance to personal finance education. Limitations regarding academic rigor and global applicability are discussed. Overall, the review underscores the importance of incorporating behavioral perspectives into financial decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readability and semantic equivalence in the translation of a bilingualchildren’s book entitled The Amazing Invisible Tiger. The primary focus lies in how meaning from thesource text is transferred into the target language while considering the characteristics of child readers, particularly in terms of sentence structure, word choice, language style, emotional expression, andcultural context. A qualitative descriptive method was employed to analyze the translation data, withspecific categories including sentence length and complexity, lexical familiarity, child – appropriatelanguage style, as well as lexical accuracy, emotional nuance, and cultural adaptation. The findingsindicate that while most of the translations are lexically accurate, several shifts and shortcomingsremain in the expressive style and cultural relevance, which affect readability and reader engagement.Overly literal translations tend to produce rigid and emotionally flat sentences, reducing the story’sappeal for children. Furthermore, the lack of cultural adaptation contributes to narrative dissonancewithin the local context. These findings highlight the importance of a multidimensional approach inchildren’s book translation one that not only emphasizes accuracy but also ensures the languageremains vivid, emotionally engaging, and relatable to children’s linguistic and social experiences. Thisresearch is expected to contribute to children’s translation practices and offer insights into strategies that are more responsive to the psychological needs of young readers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the types and objectives of questions in the trial of cyanide coffee cases. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The source of research data is the trial conversation of Jessica Wongso's case in the form of video recordings from the Kompas TV YouTube channel. The research corpus was drawn from four trial videos asked in 2016. Data was collected by observation techniques and recording techniques. The research instrument is a human instrument. The transcribed data was analyzed using matching and distribution data analysis techniques. The validity of the data is carried out by theoretical triangulation. Based on the results of the research, two conclusions can be drawn. First, 1585 data consisting of four types of questions were found. The four types of questions include 543 or 34.3% declarative questions, 501 or 31.66% wh questions, 397 or 25% polar questions, and 144 or 9.1% disjunctive questions. Second, when viewed by objective, these types of questions consist of three objectives, namely 713 or 45% of questions constructed for confirmation purposes, 603 or 38.1% of questions aimed at obtaining information, and 267 or 16.9% of questions for clarification. Thus, the process of analyzing the data of the question in the trial of the cyanide coffee case is interrelated between the type and purpose of the question.
