Abstract

The concept of pricing mechanism in Islam has been initiated by the thinkers Yahya bin Umar and Ibn Taymiyyah. The purpose of this study is to find out how the relationship between the pricing mechanisms of the two Islamic thinkers in the halal industry. Descriptive analytical with qualitative research methods and a historical approach are used in this research. As a result, Yahya bin Umar and Ibn Taymiyyah's approaches to the pricing mechanism provide different perspectives but are in line with the context of healthy and fair pricing. Yahya bin Umar views that prices are determined by the ideal market mechanism, while Ibn Taymiyyah emphasizes the importance of healthy competition and wise government intervention. The price mechanism in the halal industry should reflect the intrinsic value of the product, ensure fairness in transactions, and support the sustainability of the industry. The government can use the price mechanism to set a minimum price or ensure halal products meet certain standards. Fair and competitive pricing will enable wider access to halal products and maintain consumer confidence over a longer period.

Abstract

The difference of religious understanding does not have a significant relationship with economic behavior, especially entrepreneurship. The difference of religious understanding to traditional understanding and modern understanding becomes no longer significant to be associated with economic behavior. This means that the study of economic behavior associated with the difference of religious understanding to traditional understanding and modern understanding is very biased. This is because the most decisive variable in understanding the flow of economic behavior is not religious understanding, but rationality in economic decisions taken based on traditions, values, and straightforward arguments. This study have different conclusion with finding of Max Weber, Robert N. Bellah, David C. McClelland, and Clifford Geertz theories, in the context of socio-economic disciplines which states that there is a correlation between modern religious understanding and economic behavior. Their conclusion were not true base on is the fact that people who have an understanding of modern religious relate to economic behavior. In fact, based on this research, religious understanding that relates with economic behavior is precisely traditional religious understanding. Variables that determine the flow of economic behavior is not a religious understanding, but the rationality in economic behavior. Therefore, the emphasis of the conclusions formulated by Max Weber, Robert N. Bellah, David C. McClelland, and Clifford Geertz is not in its modern religious ideas, but in the rationality held by economic actors. Their conclusion may be justified if there is any further explanation that the modern religious understanding is rational and has implications for other aspects of life, including the aspect of economic activity. Besides, their finding could not generalized and gone into effect to other place owning different characteristic.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS) in Indonesia's modern fiscal policy framework. The research method involves analysing the impact of ZIS on economic growth, wealth distribution, and social inclusion. The background problem arises because although ZIS has been proven to contribute positively to the welfare of society, its integration as a critical component of fiscal policy is still limited. Challenges involve regulatory formulation, efficient fund management, public awareness, and harmonisation of sharia objectives. This research is expected to provide recommendations to policymakers to design effective strategies for integrating ZIS in fiscal policy, with positive impacts on Indonesia's economic efficiency, social cohesion, and economic justice.

This paper aims to capture the role and position of Bank Indonesia (BI) as a monetary policy maker in overcoming the rate of inflation. The author uses descriptive qualitative methods of literature study and philosophical normative approaches. The results of this paper analysis state that Bank Indonesia plays an important role in suppressing the rate of inflation. Bank Indonesia plays a role in establishing and implementing monetary policy, regulating and maintaining a smooth payment system, and regulating and supervising banks. Bank Indonesia conducts open market operations in the rupiah money market, including foreign exchange intervention in order to stabilize the rupiah. BI sets the BI rate as the benchmark interest rate. BI has established a mandatory minimum reserve policy for banks. BI conducts comprehensive analysis and studies in assessing the effectiveness of monetary instruments and monetary policy transmission channels, analyzing and reviewing various information variables, conducting discussions with various parties such as business actors, government agencies, banks, and academics, comprehensively identifying factors that cause inflationary pressures, and formulating monetary policy exposure.
