Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut pendidik anak usia dini untuk memiliki kesiapan dalam mengintegrasikan pembelajaran yang relevan dengan tuntutan abad ke-21, salah satunya melalui pembelajaran coding. Pengenalan coding sejak usia dini berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir komputasi, logika, dan pemecahan masalah anak. Namun, keberhasilan implementasi pembelajaran coding sangat dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapan guru Taman Kanak-Kanak dalam penerapan pembelajaran coding untuk anak usia dini di Kota Jambi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 guru TK yang berasal dari enam TK di Kota Jambi, yaitu TK AI-Moestafa, TK Al-Azka, TK An-Nahl, TK Pertiwi II, TK Kasih Ibu, dan TK Al-Falah. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket tertutup dengan skala Likert yang mencakup tiga indikator kesiapan guru, yaitu pengetahuan dan keterampilan, perencanaan dan pengelolaan kelas, serta sikap dan perilaku. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa 24 dari 25 butir pernyataan dinyatakan valid, sedangkan uji reliabilitas memperoleh nilai Cronbach's Alpha sebesar 0,940 yang menunjukkan reliabilitas sangat tinggi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru berada pada kategori siap, dengan persentase respon setuju sebesar 58,61% dan sangat setuju sebesar 34,31%. Indikator sikap dan perilaku memiliki persentase tertinggi dibandingkan indikator lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru TK di Kota Jambi pada umumnya telah memiliki kesiapan yang baik dalam menerapkan pembelajaran coding untuk anak usia dini, meskipun masih diperlukan pelatihan dan pendampingan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru agar kesiapan tersebut dapat berkembang ke kategori sangat siap.

Abstract

This study was conducted due to the limited application of learning activities aimed at developing logical thinking skills in early childhood at TK Pertiwi II Telanaipura. Observations indicated that the logical thinking abilities of children aged 5–6 years had not developed optimally, as shown by difficulties in recognizing patterns, sequencing, classifying objects, distinguishing sizes, and demonstrating constructive thinking. This study aimed to examine the effect of unplugged coding games on the logical thinking abilities of children aged 5–6 years.The research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 12 children. Data were collected through observation using a validated instrument and analyzed using hypothesis testing. The results showed a significant improvement in logical thinking abilities, with a t-value of 24.163 exceeding the t-table value of 2.201 at α = 0.05. The mean score increased from 21.5 to 42.5, and the effect size analysis (Cohen’s d = 5.24) indicated a strong effect. These findings conclude that unplugged coding games significantly improve children’s logical thinking abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the cognitive development of hyperactive children aged 5 and 6 years at Adhyaksa 1 Kindergarten in Jambi, focusing on the memory domain based on Bloom's Taxonomy. These early childhood children are in the golden age, when appropriate stimulation is crucial, but children with hyperactivity disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) often have difficulty concentrating and controlling behavior that has a negative impact. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach, a case study type. Data were collected through interviews and observations five times every month with parents as informants. Four measures of memory ability—naming, recognizing, imitating, and matching—were included in the research tool. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. The results showed that the cognitive development of hyperactive children in the memory domain was more prominent in the ability to imitate and recognize, while the ability to name and match still requires continuous stimulation.

Abstract

Language development is an important aspect of early childhood development because it supports children’s ability to communicate, express ideas, and interact with their social environment. However, in learning practices, some children still experience limitations in language abilities due to the lack of engaging and interactive learning media. This study aims to examine the effect of the Magic Box (Mystery Box) media on the language skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK Negeri 54 Talang Bukit. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 24 children divided into two groups: 12 children in the experimental group and 12 children in the control group. Data were collected using an observation sheet containing 15 indicators of children's language skills. Data analysis was conducted through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the average language skill score in the experimental group increased from 27.91 to 48.5, while the control group increased from 24.58 to 27.5. The hypothesis test indicated that t-count (6.584) > t-table (1.717) at a significance level of 0.05 with an effect size of 2.79, categorized as a strong effect. These findings indicate that the Magic Box media is effective in improving early childhood language skills through interactive and enjoyable learning activities.

Abstract

Early childhood education plays an important role in supporting children’s development, particularly receptive language skills. Observations at TK Al Azhar Jambi indicated that some children aged 4–5 years still experienced difficulties in actively listening and understanding teachers’ instructions. This study aimed to describe the implementation of Wordwall games in stimulating receptive language development in early childhood at TK Al Azhar Jambi. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with 11 children aged 4–5 years as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that Wordwall games improved children’s receptive language skills, indicated by increased listening focus, the ability to understand two simple instructions simultaneously, and the ability to repeat vocabulary during learning activities. Therefore, Wordwall games can be used as an effective learning medium to stimulate receptive language development in early childhood.

Abstract

Pada masa PAUD anak dibimbing untuk mengembangkan kemampuan-kemampuan yang mendukung anak tersebut dalam menjalani jenjang selanjutnya. Transisi PAUD-SD adalah proses perpindahan kegiatan belajar dan pemerolehan pengalaman oleh anak didik dari PAUD atau TK menjadi peserta didik SD, dengan proses pembelajaran dan adaptasi pada situasi serta keadaan yang baru. Sekolah harus menganggap bahwa anak yang masuk ke sekolah dasar memiliki kesiapan dan kemampuan dasar yang sama sehingga tujuan pembelajaran pada kelas awal dapat disesuaikan dengan tahapan perkembangan peserta didik.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana persepsi guru TK dan SD terhadap pelaksanaan transisi PAUD-SD. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penetian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan di RA Iththihadul Wathoniyah dan PAUD Kurnia serta SD Negeri 200117/26 Padangsidimpuan tentang bagaimana pemahaman guru TK dan SD tentang pelaksanaan transisi PAUD-SD ditemukan bahwa pemahaman tentang transisi PAUD ke SD oleh guru TK dan SD sudah baik. Penelitian yang dilakukan di RA Iththihadul Wathoniyah dan PAUD Kurnia mengungkapkan bahwa kesiapan anak usia dini untuk memasuki Sekolah Dasar (SD) dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, baik yang bersifat kognitif, sosial-emosional, maupun fisik. Guru sepakat bahwa anak-anak yang memiliki keterampilan sosial yang baik, seperti mampu berbagi, bergiliran, atau bekerja sama dengan teman-temannya, cenderung lebih siap memasuki SD. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data angket persepsi Guru SD terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran adalah sebesar 80% yang artinya jika diinterperstasikan ke dalam intersperstasi skor termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik.
