Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of three government policies and the strong impact of COVID-19 on the economic recession in seven emerging market countries (China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Brazil, Turkey, and Egypt). T-test and independent-sample t-test. This study resulted in the findings of the ARDL Panel model, proving that the leading indicators of state-based financial system stability are China, India, and Brazil. In contrast, the order of the top policy indicators of policy/variable financial system stability is fiscal policy (GOV), monetary policy (I.R.), and policy macroprudential (NPL). The leading indicators of state-based economic stability are Indonesia and Russia. In contrast, the order of leading indicators of policy/variable-based economic stability is macroprudential policy (LDR), fiscal policy (Tax), and monetary policy (JUB). During the Covid-19 pandemic, the effectiveness of financial system stability, apart from China, all countries experienced economic instability. On economic stability, apart from China and Turkey, all countries experienced economic instability after the Covid-19 Pandemic. Recommendation: the policies needed to control financial system stability focus on macroprudential policies and fiscal policies. In contrast, the effectiveness of the procedures necessary to maintain economic stability is through macroprudential policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of government spending on education and health on GRDP and the human development index in North Labuhanbatu District. The data used in this research is secondary data in 2017-2021. The analysis tool used is path analysis. The software used to carry out the analysis is IBM SPSS Version 20. The results of the analysis show that an increase in government spending on education has a positive and insignificant effect on GRDP in North Labuhanbatu Regency . These results are in accordance with the hypothesis but not significant in terms of triggering an increase in GRDP. This could be due to the fact that educated graduates are still not optimal in absorbing labor in accordance with the demand for available jobs. The increase in government spending on health has a positive and significant effect on GRDP in North Labuhanbatu District. It can be concluded that there is a significant impact from the increase in the health sector budget spending on increasing GRDP in North Labuhanbatu Regency. Because GRDP will increase if everyone enjoys maximum health facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Project Citizen learning model and students’ creative thinking ability on the development of civic skills among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Tigapanah. The research was motivated by the observed low level of students’ civic skills, which is partly due to the limited use of innovative learning models that foster active participation and creative thinking. The study employed a quasi-experimental method using a 2×2 factorial design. The sample consisted of two classes—VII-1 as the experimental group taught using the Project Citizen model, and VII-2 as the control group taught using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model. Data were collected through tests measuring civic skills and creative thinking ability. The results of the two-way ANOVA analysis show that: (1) students taught using the Project Citizen model achieved higher civic skills scores (mean = 75.65) compared to those taught using the TGT model (mean = 60.62); (2) students with high creative thinking ability outperformed those with low creative thinking ability in civic skills (mean = 87.85 vs. 69.55); and (3) there was a significant interaction between the learning model and creative thinking ability (F = 7.06, p 0.05). These findings indicate that the integration of the Project Citizen model and creative thinking development significantly enhances students’ civic competence by fostering critical, analytical, and participatory learning experiences. The study highlights the importance of adopting innovative, student-centered approaches in civic education to cultivate democratic and socially responsible citizens.
