Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of rewards and punishments on employee performance through work discipline. This study uses quantitative methods, data collection techniques by distributing respondent questionnaires. The sample in this study were 48 employees of PERUMDA Air Minum Tirta Batang Hari. This study uses Descriptive Analysis techniques using the SmartPLS 4.0.0 application as a data processing tool. The results of this study indicate that rewards have a positive and significant effect on performance. Punishment does not have a positive and significant effect on performance. Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on performance. Rewards have a positive and significant effect on work discipline. Punishment has a positive and significant effect on work discipline. Rewards have a positive and significant effect on performance through work discipline. Punishment does not have a positive and significant effect on performance through work discipline.

Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh workplace happiness dan employee engagement terhadap produktivitas karyawan dengan inovatif kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada upaya memahami mekanisme tidak langsung yang dapat menjelaskan kontribusi psikologis dan perilaku karyawan terhadap peningkatan produktivitas di sektor layanan publik, khususnya pada BPJS Kesehatan Cabang Jambi. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel sebanyak 74 responden ditentukan melalui teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan teknik Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4.0. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa employee engagement dan inovatif kerja memiliki pengaruh langsung yang signifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan. Selain itu, workplace happiness dan employee engagement juga berpengaruh positif terhadap inovatif kerja. Temuan penting lainnya adalah bahwa workplace happiness tidak memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap produktivitas, tetapi memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung melalui inovatif kerja. Implikasi: Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung keterlibatan dan kebahagiaan karyawan, serta menyediakan ruang untuk inovasi sebagai strategi peningkatan produktivitas jangka panjang, khususnya dalam organisasi sektor publik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi dan harapan guru honorer terhadap kebijakan kenaikan gaji yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah di SMA Negeri 7 Kecamatan Mendahara, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap sepuluh guru honorer sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak NVivo 14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru honorer merespons secara positif kebijakan kenaikan gaji, yang dianggap mampu meningkatkan motivasi, semangat, dan rasa dihargai. Namun, mereka juga menyoroti perlunya penyempurnaan implementasi agar lebih adil dan merata. Selain itu, harapan utama para guru adalah adanya perubahan status kepegawaian menjadi ASN atau PPPK, demi mendapatkan jaminan masa depan, stabilitas ekonomi, dan pengakuan profesional. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keberlanjutan, pemerataan, dan keadilan dalam pelaksanaan kebijakan menjadi elemen penting agar kebijakan benar-benar menjawab kebutuhan guru honorer secara menyeluruh.   Kata Kunci : Guru honorer, Persepsi, Kebijakan pemerintah, Kenaikan gaji, Harapan kepegawaian

Abstract

Work loyalty is a fundamental pillar in human resource management that plays a critical role in sustaining organizational development and enhancing employee productivity. This study aims to explore and analyze the strategies implemented by PT. Bank BTPN Syariah MMS Rantau Rasau in maintaining employee loyalty, particularly among Community Officers who serve as the frontline representatives of the bank in delivering services directly to local communities. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that work loyalty can be fostered through several strategies, including equitable and measurable reward systems, regular and relevant training, structured career development, and appropriate compensation and performance-based incentives. Additionally, leadership support and effective two way communication between management and employees play a crucial role in cultivating a sense of ownership and emotional attachment to the organization. These strategies significantly contribute to strengthening employee commitment, dedication, and the willingness to stay and grow with the company, ultimately leading to increased productivity in both quantitative target achievement and qualitative service delivery. This study offers practical implications for the development of human resource management policies in the Islamic banking sector and serves as a reference for other organizations facing similar challenges in maintaining employee loyalty and improving productivity. A comprehensive understanding of loyalty strategies enables organizations to build a sustainable and productive work environment.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan keterampilan komunikasi pemasaran pariwisata di kawasan Cagar Budaya Nasional Candi Muaro Jambi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat setempat dalam mempromosikan potensi wisata yang ada. Candi Muaro Jambi, sebagai salah satu warisan budaya yang berharga, masih kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat luas dan wisatawan. Melalui program pelatihan ini, masyarakat, pemandu wisata, khususnya kelompok usaha Bersama Putri mahliagi yang merupakan peserta dilatih dalam teknik komunikasi pemasaran yang efektif, termasuk penggunaan media sosial dan strategi pemasaran digital. Program ini melibatkan pelatihan intensif yang mencakup teori, workshop, lokakarya dan praktik dalam pemasaran pariwisata, serta pengenalan terhadap nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang dapat dijadikan daya tarik wisata. Dengan melibatkan masyarakat dalam proses promosi, diharapkan akan tercipta rasa memiliki dan tanggung jawab terhadap pelestarian cagar budaya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke Candi Muaro Jambi, serta memberikan dampak positif terhadap perekonomian lokal. Selain itu, peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi pemasaran diharapkan dapat memperkuat KUBE putri maghligai sebagai mitra strategi untuk memperkuat posisi Candi Muaro Jambi sebagai destinasi wisata yang menarik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai work-lifebalance, produktivitas karyawan dan kualitas kehidupan kerja pada PT. BankRakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatan kuantitaif dengan pengumpulan data kuesioner dan menggunakanSmart PLS 4. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawanPT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Jambi berjumlah 65 orang. Berdasarkanhasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance berpengaruh positif dansignifikan terhadap produktivitas karyawan. Kualitas kehidupan kerja memoderasihubungan antara work-life balance terhadap produktivitas karyawan secara positifdan signifikan (memperkuat).

Abstract

The study aims to assess the direct impacts of core self-evaluation and emotional intelligence on workplace conflict and determine Diversity's mediating role in this relationship. Additionally, it seeks to understand the broader implications of these interactions for conflict management and diversity initiatives within the workplace. The research utilized a quantitative approach to distribute questionnaires to 94 lecturers to capture data on the specified variables. These results support developing targeted training programs that enhance emotional intelligence and effectively manage Diversity to mitigate workplace conflicts. Furthermore, the study advocates for organizational policies that foster inclusion, encourage open dialogue, and respect for Diversity, thereby promoting a healthy and inclusive work environment. This study contributes valuable insights into the factors influencing workplace conflict in academic settings. It highlights the crucial roles of self-evaluation, emotional intelligence, and Diversity in managing conflict and fostering a productive, inclusive workplace.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi employee engagement, kepemimpinan transformasional, dan budaya organisasi di DPMPTSP Muaro Jambi serta menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap employee engagement melalui budaya organisasi. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan sampel seluruh pegawai sebanyak 44 orang dengan instrumen kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SEM-PLS melalui program SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa employee engagement berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan kepemimpinan transformasional dan budaya organisasi berada pada kategori tinggi. Uji PLS membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement maupun budaya organisasi, dan budaya organisasi juga berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap employee engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of soft skills on job readiness through internship experience as an intervening variable in Management Study Program students, batch 2021, Jambi University. This study uses a quantitative method with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 142 respondents from various academic and professional backgrounds. Hypothesis testing utilizes descriptive analysis techniques with the support of SmartPLS software to examine the relationships between the identified variables. The findings of this study indicate that: (1) soft skills have a positive and significant influence on job readiness, (2) soft skills have a positive and significant influence on internship experience, (3) internship experience has a positive and significant influence on job readiness, (4) soft skills have a positive and significant influence on job readiness through internship experience as an intervening variable in Management Study Program students, batch 2021, Jambi University. These results emphasize the vital role of soft skills and internship experience in improving job preparedness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of educational background on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Jambi Province. The method used is quantitative analysis with a population of 64 employees and a sample of 63 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale-based questionnaire, and the analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS 3 software. The results showed that: (1) educational background has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) educational background has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, (3) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and (4) work motivation acts as an intervening variable that mediates the effect of educational background on employee performance. Based on the results, it is recommended that the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of Jambi Province organize relevant technical training related to their work areas, professional certification, and training based on actual work needs. It is also suggested to pay special attention to the quality of employee work, one strategy being continuous training focused on improving work accuracy, quality management, and more detailed and measurable standard operating procedures (SOPs). For work motivation, more attention should be given to providing opportunities for personal development, such as advanced skills training, opportunities for innovation in work, and involving employees in strategic decision-making according to their capacity.
