Abstract

Penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui tentang performa produksi dan analisis usaha ayam broiler yangdipelihara pada kandang closed house. Penelitian dilakukan pada kandang system closed house dengan kapasitas11.000 ekor. Variabel yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan ayam, konsumsi pakan, efisiensi penggunaan pakan,deplesi serta aspek ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa berat badan rata-rata pada umur 30 hari adalah1620 g/ekor, deplesi sebesar 2,13%, FCR sebesar 1,56 dan Indek performa 339,2. Secara ekonomis pemeliharaanayam broiler dengan sistem close house menguntungkan, yang ditunjukan oleh pendapatan bersih Rp. 2.781/ekordan R/C rasio sebesar 1,10. Break Event Point (BEP) harga usaha pemeliharaan ayam broiler adalah: Rp. 16.032/kg.Kata kunci: ayam broiler, produktivitas, closed house

Abstract

This study aims at determining the performance and carcasses composition of young female pig which arereared intensively and fed good quality rations and probiotic supplementation Saccharomyces sp. This researchwas conducted at Experimental Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Udayana University, Bukit, Jimbaran. Thedesign using a randomized block design (RBD) with basic weighting grouping. This design is used randomly groupedin basic body weight. The bali pigs were allocated randomly into four treatments i.e. ration without additionalprobiotics (A), ration with 0.20% additional probiotics (B), ration with 0.25% additional probiotics (C), and rationwith 0.30% additional probiotics (D). The treatments were conducted in 4 times replication so there are 16 pigsand kept in individual pens. The variables observed were the performance and composition of carcass. Based onthe results, ration consumption, additional of body weight, FCR, digestibility rations and carcasses compositionshowed not significant differences. It can be concluded that the additional of probiotics in the ration of youngfemale Bali pigs did not effect to the variable performance and carcass characteristic up to 0.30% addition level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lysine, methionine and tryptophan amino acid supple- mentation on low-quality rations on the performance of bali pigs. The material used was 12 bali pigs with an initial weight of 11.41 ± 0.91 kg. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment P0 (50% yellow corn + 49% pollard + 0.5% mineral 10 + 0.5% NaCl), P1 (Ration P0 supp- lemented with 0.75% lysine, 0.20% methionine and 0.07% tryptophan of the total rations), P2 (ration 40% yellow corn + 43% pollard + 16% concentrate CP152 + 0.5% mineral 10 + 0.5% NaCl). The variables observed were body weight, weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio. The results showed that the supplementation of amino acids lysine, methionine and tryptophan on the performance of bali pigs showed a significantly different effect (P<0.05) on the variables of body weight, weight gain, ration consumption and feed conversion ratio. It can be concluded that the basal ration supplemented with essential amino acids 0.75% lysine, 0.20% methionine and 0.07% tryptophan in bali pork rations can increase body weight, gain weight, consume rations, and feed conversion ratio.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu fermentasi pada imbangan konsentrat dan jeramipadi terhadap produk fermentasi secara in-vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai Mei 2018 diLaboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Udayana Bali. Rancangan yangdigunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas empat perlakuan dan empat ulangan. Perlakuanyang dicobakan adalah lama waktu fermentasi yaitu 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 6 jam (W1, W2, W3, W4, dan W6) pada imbangankonsentrat dengan jerami padi yaitu konsentrat 0% : jerami 100% (A), konsentrat 25% : jerami 75% (B), konsentrat50% : jerami 50% (C), konsentrat 75% : jerami 25% (D). Variabel yang diamati adalah koefisien cerna dan lajukecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Koefisien cerna bahan kering dan bahan organik semakin tinggi seiringdengan lama waktu fermentasi in-vitro sampai 6 jam dan ditemukan laju kecernaan tertinggi diperoleh pada waktuantara 4 - 6 jam. Dapat disimpulkan kecernaan tertinggi dengan waktu fermentasi 6 jam dan laju kecernaan terbesarpada 4-6 jam.Kata kunci: fermentasi in-vitro, konsentrat, jerami padi

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa babi bali yang dipelihara dalam kandang dengan alaskandang yang berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan mulai bulan Agustus sampai November. Penelitianmenggunakan babi bali dengan berat 12-13 kg. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acaklengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu babi bali yang dipelihara dalam kandang dengan menggunakanalas tanah (A) sebagai kontrol, kandang dengan menggunakan alas beton (B), kandang dengan menggunakan alaslitter (bapuk) (C). Peubah yang diamati pada penelitian adalah performa produksi, kecernaan nutrien, iklim mikro,analisis ekonomi, dan kepadatan lalat pada kandang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berat badan akhir,pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi ransum, kecernaan bahan kering, kecernaan bahan organik, kecernaan lemak,kecernaan serat kasar, kecernaan abu, dan iklim mikro pada kandang menunjukkan hasil yang sama (P>0,05).Feed convertion ratio (FCR) dan kecernaan protein menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik pada alas beton dan bapuk(P<0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah performa babi bali yang dipelihara dalam kandang denganmenggunakan alas yang berbeda tidak memberikan pengaruh. Biaya produksi paling efisien dan hasil produksipaling tinggi didapatkan pada kandang babi bali yang dipelihara dengan menggunakan alas tanah.Kata kunci: babi bali, kandang, performa, analisis ekonomi

Abstract

Penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian hijauan dan konsentrat yang mengandung urea-kapur dan ubi kayu terhadap produktivitas kambing. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Ke empat perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah Perlakuan A: ransum dengan 75% konsentrat (mengandung 4% urea, 2% kapur dan 50% ubikayu) dan 25% hijauan (40% gamal dan 60% rumput raja), perlakuan B: rasnsum yang terdiri 60% konsentrat 40% hijauan, perlakuan C: ransum dengan 45% konsentrat dan 55% hijauan dan perlakuan D: ransum dengan 30% konsentrat dan 70% hijauan. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa produktivitas kambing yang mendapat ransum dengan level konsentrat 45% sampai 75% tidak berbeda sedangkan yang mendapat ransum dengan level konsentrat 30% lebih rendah. Ransum yang memebrikan nilai ekonomi tertinggi adalah ransum yang mengandung konsentrat antara 45% sampai 60%.

Abstract

This research is aimed to know the growth and yield of butterfly pea (Clitoria ternatea L.) at various level of water content and bio-slurry fertilizers. This research was conducted for 4 months at Tropical Forage Science Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. The experiment design used a completely randomized design (CRD) in split plot pattern. Main factor or main plot is various level of water content: water content 60% (K1), 80% (K2), and 100% (K3) of field capacity, while sub factor or sub plot is level of fertilizer dosage: 0 ton ha-1 (D0), 10 ton ha-1 (D1), 20 ton ha-1 (D2), 30 ton ha-1(D3). The treatment repeated as much as 4 times. The variables observed in this study are growth and forage yield. The result of this research showed that giving various level of water content with different dosage bio-slurry fertilizer give significant effect (P<0,05) to growth and forage yield of butterfly pea (C. ternatea). There is no interaction between the treatment of level water content with the dosage of fertilizer to growth and the forage yield of butterfly pea (C. ternatea). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the 80% (K2) level water content and 20 ton ha-1 (D2) fertilizer resulted in the best growth and forage yield of butterfly pea (C. ternatea). Abstract

The existence of 500 kv extra high voltage transmission lines causes some area of villager’s farms to be under the transmission lines, so the research is urgently needed to see how the exposure of magnetic fields of 500 kv extra high voltage transmission lines influences the growth of plants. The aim of this research main function is to know the growth response of green mustard with the exposure to the extra high voltage magnetic field. Observation is focused on the area of leaf, amount of chlorophyll, weight of dry leaf, and net assimilation rate .The research applies completely randomized design repeated 3 times and 4 kinds of treatments with the different exposure of magnetic field. The data are quantitatively analyzed using analysis of variant method. The result of this research shows that the exposure of magnetic field influences the reduction of green mustard leaf, amount of leaf chlorophyll, net assimilation rate and the dry weight of green mustard leaf. Based on the result of the research it can be concluded that the exposure of magnetic field can reduce the growth of green mustard witch are under 500 kv extra high voltage transmission lines

Abstract

Photoelectric cells is an equipment made of semiconductor material of Silicone (Si14) functioned to catchand converse sun light to become electric energy directly. Through photoelectric phenomenon, that sun lightas particles with frequency/wavelength of certain light can release electrons in a material. This electrons’movement can produce electric current. The aim of this research was to find out the performance of aphotoelectric cells collector in conversing sun light to become electric energy due to the rotation of solarradiation in Nusa Penida.The research was conducted at PLTS electric home solar system Nusa Penida for 5 days the measurementto the parameter of Current (Isc) and Voltage (Vsc). Each measurement had duration of lighting for 8 hourseach from 09.00 until 16.00 Central Indonesian Time, with time interval of 30 minutes. Measurement anddata analysis produced in the research on Saturday, June 29th 2013 obtained: the amount of solar radiationarrived at earth’s outer atmosphere was 1321.90 W/m2, and passed along to earth’s surface at 621.29 W/m2,and received by photoelectric cells collector as heat power at 113.63 Watt, and efficiency produced was 25.3%,and electric power produced was 28.74 Watt, and can be equalized with fossil energy of 0.0237 liter ofgasoline, or equivalent to 106.65 rupiah. It meant that, photoelectric cells collector with area of 50 x 110cm2in a day can protect earth from global warming of 28.74 Watt, in using of fossil energy at 0.0237 liter ofgasoline.The efficient performance of photoelectric cells was still considered small. In order to achieve big capacityof electric power required a lot of collector modules and large area, so that with the growing of semiconductortechnology, it is expected that whenever possible it can reduce electron binding energy on material, andoptimize solar lighting system to photoelectric cells collector modules, so that the efficient performance ofphotoelectric cells can be expected to be above 90%.

Abstract

Timuhun irigation channel is one of the irigation water sources which is located in the District of BanjarangkanKlungkung Regency of Bali Province which is flowing from its origin at Bubuh River which flows passses three villagesof Bangbang, Nyanglan, and Timuhun villages.The objective of this study was to determine the properties of pollutant of kacang koro as well as to determine theperception of the owner/industry workers and the community at the Timuhun village produced during the washingprocess.This study was conducted from December 2007 to Januari 2008. The sample of the irigation water of Timuhunwas taken from nine locations and the sample of the waste water was taken from three locations. The index of thepollution was calculated and compared to the Governor Regulation Number 8 of 2007 while the community perception onthe waste impact of the kacang koro washing was analyzed using percentage formulae.The finding of the study shows that the pollutant properties of of the waste water have exceeded the maximumlevel of quality standard covering parameters of TSS, COD, BOD5 and ammonia. The pollution of the Timuhun irigationby the waste water from the kacang koro washing is indicated by the high property of the water quality parameter onBOD5 and COD. Based on the pollution index (PI), it was found that the water quality of Timuhun irigation reached amild pollution in all criteria of water quality of class I, class II, class III, class IV except the origin location which is stillin good condition. The perception analysis on the waste water impact showed that the community of Timuhun have a badperception, so the owner and industry workers have a good perception.
