Abstract

This research explores the intricate relationship between psychoacoustic parameters and microphone selection for soundscape recording, drawing inspiration from foundational concepts introduced by Schafer and Cage. Motivated by the need to comprehend the influence of psychoacoustic dimensions—specifically frequency, sound intensity, and time—on the choice of microphones for capturing auditory environments, the study adopts Liu and Kang's systematic literature review method. This approach entails a comprehensive analysis of diverse sources to identify knowledge gaps and establish a robust theoretical foundation. The primary aim is to offer practical guidance to professionals and researchers in the field of soundscape recording. Findings underscore the efficacy of a cardioid condenser stereo microphone that aligns with the analyzed psychoacoustic parameters. This study not only contributes to advancing practices in soundscape recording but also deepens our understanding of the intricate dynamics between soundscape, psychoacoustics, and sound recording devices. By recognizing the significance of Liu and Kang's methodology, the research serves as a foundation for future experimental designs and field testing. Acknowledging Liu and Kang's contributions, the study highlights the pivotal role of their systematic literature review method in shaping the research landscape, underscoring the importance of methodological rigor in advancing our understanding of complex auditory phenomena. This research provides a comprehensive overview of the nuanced relationship between psychoacoustic parameters and microphone selection for soundscape recording, contributing to the broader discourse in the field of auditory research. The implications of this research extend to the field of sound environment recording and psychoacoustics, providing a deeper understanding, improving recording quality, developing practical guidelines, encouraging recording technology innovation, and contributing to the field of psychoacoustics.

Abstract

This article tryes to initiate the concept of Minangkabau rhythm syllables, which is a method in music learning related to audiation in rhythm learning, the urgency in this study explores the basic elements of the audiation system that can be applied to music learning related to rhythm syllables based on local approaches, taking into account previous concepts that have been popular in recent schools. In West Sumatra, the concepts of syllable rhythm such as Zoltan Kodaly, Kannokol, American Style Syllables, and Edwin Gordon are not so popular, but environments such as schools and art studios have their own ways of approaching learning music related to pronouncing sounds, so that in this study it is addressed as an interesting and crucial thing to study and formulate further into formulations. The method used in this research uses a qualitative paradigm with a literature review approach. Where the concept of previous rhythmic syllables is used as a reference in analyzing, bringing up findings, and juxtaposing the findings with the initiated Minangkabau rhythmic syllable formula, so that the Minangkabau rhythmic syllables can be generalized and adapted, but still referring to the habits of the local community material. Based on the results of the analysis, like Gordon’s concept, it is found that syllables or audiation appear after the formation of rhythms, patterns and sound colo.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan pertunjukan Angklung Dogdog Lojor dalam siklus upacara Seren Taun pada masyarakat Kasepuhan Ciptagelar, Kasatuan Adat Banten Kidul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan di lapangan dan wawancara mendalam. Berdasarkan penelitian disimpulkan bahwa pertunjukan Angklung Dogdog Lojor dalam upacara Seren Taun bukan semata-mata hanya sebagai seni pertunjukan dalam paradigma Barat atau kelengkapan ritual, akan tetapi merupakan salah satu media do’a dalam upacara ritual ngadiukeun pare sebagai upacara pokok dalam rangkaian upacara Seren Taun. Pertunjukan Angklung Dogdog Lojor merupakan ekspresi budaya masyarakat Kasepuhan Ciptagelar. Bagi para pemainnya, Ngangklung merupakan tugas pokok atau kewajiban sebagai anggota masyarakat adat. Angklung Dogdog Lojor Performance in Seren Taun Ritual Ceremony. This paper describes Angklung Dogdog Lojor performance in Seren Taun ritual ceremony on Kasepuhan Ciptagelar community. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method that is based on the data in the form of text, the analysis in the form of interpretation, and the prototype in the form of in-depth interviews. The conclusion is that Angklung Dogdog Lojor in Seren Taun ritual ceremony is not solely as an art performance in the Western paradigm or completeness of any rituals. Angklung Dogdog Lojor is one of the ‘prayer’ media of various ‘prayer’ media in Seren Taun rituals, especially in ritual of ‘ngadiukeun pare’ as the main ritual in a series of Seren Taun ceremonies. Angklung Dogdog Lojor performance is an expression of culture Kasepuhan Ciptagelar Communities. Ngangklung, for the players, is a kind of the main duty or obligation to their community as indigenous people.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This paper analyzes characteristic and musical identity of garap karawitan Jaipongan which is focused on the identity of laras and rumpaka. The identity of karawitan Jaipongan is a genre of today’s Sundanese karawitan which developes without any acculturation influence. Most verbal form of rumpaka on garap karawitan Jaipongan Jugala represents a dialogue or text that requires comprehension of the content. The characteristic of laras and rumpaka which are verbal and musical in garap karawitan Jaipongan show a multidimensional artistic expression. Keywords: characteristic, laras, rumpaka, Jaipongan, and jugala    ABSTRAK Tulisan ini menguraikan ciri-ciri atau identitas musikal garap karawitan Jaipongan Ju- gala yang dititikberatkan pada identitas laras dan rumpaka. Identitas karawitan Jaipongan merupakan suatu genre karawitan Sunda kiwari yang berkembang tanpa pengaruh besar akulturasi. Bentuk verbal rumpaka pada garap karawitan Jaipongan Jugala sebagian besar merepresentasikan suatu pembicaraan atau teks yang menuntut pemahaman isi. Abstract

ABSTRAKArtikel ini adalah kajian Etnokoreologi yang dipadudengansosiologidan folkloreyang digunakanuntukmenganalisistariRampoeyang merupakan tariankolektif dari lima tarian Aceh, yaitu Seudati, Pho, Laweut, Ratoh Duek dan Saman. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengungkapkan karakteristik masyarakat Aceh serta keterkaitannyaantara struktur pemerintahan adat dankepemimpinan dalam tari, serta keterkaitan antara pola tatanan masyarakat danesensi syair maupun gerak tari Rampoe. Untuk itudibutuhkan analisis yang tajam terhadap teks dan konteks pada tarinya.Penelitiankualitatifini, membuktikan hasil, bahwa: (1) bentuk kepemimpinan tari diadopsi dari pemerintahan adat, (2) sifat masyarakat Aceh yang tegas, memilikihargadiri yang tinggi, kompak, setia kawan, menjunjung nilai-nilai persaudaraan, dan pantang menyerah, tercermin dalam esensi gerak dan syair pada tari Rampoe.Kata kunci: Tari Rampoe, Etnokoreologi, karakteristik masyarakat AcehABSTRACT This article is a study of ethnochoreology wich combined with sociology and folklore, and used to analyze ‘Rampoe’ dance that consists of five Aceh dances such as namely ‘Suedati, Pho,Laweut, RatohDuek and Saman’. The objective of this study is to reveal the characteristics of the Acehnese and its associations between traditional governance structure (sultan, ulama,ulleebalang), andleadership in the dance (syekh, aneuksyahi, apiet), as well as the relation pattern of social order with the essence of poetry and movements of ‘Rampoe’ dance. So it needs a sharp analysis of the text and the contexts of dance. Theresult of thequalitative research that related to the essence of movement and poetry, are: (1) The form of leadership in the dance adopted from traditional administration:, (2) The nature of Acehnese attitudesarefirm, having high self concept, compact, loyal, uphold the brotherhood values, and never give up.Keywords: ‘Rampoe’ dance, Etnochoreology, Acehnese characteristics.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai Kesundaanyaitucageur, bageur, bener, pinter, singer yang telah luput dari kehidupan siswa. Terkikisnya nilai-nilai budaya lokal menimbulkan permasalahan, yaitu degradasi karakter yang dipengaruhi oleh lemahnya etika dan estetika.Penelitian ini terdiri atas dua tahapan, yaitu mengkaji tari dengan menggunakan Teori Etnokoreologi yang dibantu dengan pendekatan Etnopedagogik dan Folklor, serta implementasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Teori Lickona dan Gardner. Hasil kajian tari memperoleh nilai-nilai yang berkenaan dengan nilai cageur, bageur, bener, pinter, tur singer yang kemudian diimplementasikan melalui sebuah pembelajaran tari etnis yaitu Tari Pakujajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran sinektik.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Action Research dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan proses yang telah dilakukan, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan yang dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya daya imajinasi serta pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran dan sikap siswa yang peduli serta saling menghormati baik pada guru maupun antar sesamanya. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menghasilkan model pembelajaran tari etnis.Kata Kunci :Nilai-nilai Kesundaan, Tari Pakujajar, Implementasi Pembelajaran Tari ABSTRACTThis research aims to inculcate the Kesundaan’s values that is cageur, bageur, bener, pinter,singer that have been disappeased from life of students. The erosion of local cultural values creates problems, as well as character degradation that influenced by the weakness of ethics and aesthetics. This research consist of two steps, that is review the dance by using Etnochooreology Theory with Etnopedagogy approach and Folklore, while the implementation of dance learning using Lickona and Gardner Theory. The results of dance studies obtain the values contained inside it, with pertains to cageur, bageur, bener, pinter, tur singer and these values are implemented through an ethnic dance learning that is Pakujajar Dance by using sinektik learning model. This research uses Action Research method with qualitative approach. Based on the process that have been done, there is a significant increase that is shown by the increasing the imagination power and understanding of studentsto the subject matter, and student’s attitudes who care and mutual respect both of teachers and each other. Abstract

ABSTRACT For 350 years, Indonesia was under the rule of foreign countries before gaining independence in 1945. This colonization had a significant impact on the social, cultural, economic, and political aspects of Indonesian society. The people expressed their resistance through traditional performing arts, such as angklung sered in Balandongan, Tasikmalaya, West Java. This art form served as a tool of struggle against the colonizers. The objective of this research is to discover the values of social ideology embedded in angklung sered within the community of Balandongan. The research methodology employed semiotic analysis, focusing on the text and context of the angklung sered performances. Text analysis emphasizes the musical instrument used in the performance, while contextual analysis examines the artistic function of angklung sered before and after independence. The research data was obtained through interviews and documentary studies. The findings reveal that angklung sered served as a symbol of resistance before independence, while after independence, the emphasis shifted towards the aesthetics of the performance. Angklung sered also became a social ideology for the community, reflected in its meanings and symbols, serving as the foundation of their beliefs in everyday life. Keywords: Social Ideology, Culture, Traditional Art, Angklung Sered, Traditional Performing Arts ABSTRAK Selama 350 tahun, Indonesia dikuasai oleh negara-negara asing sebelum merdeka pada tahun 1945. Penjajahan ini berdampak besar pada sosial, budaya, ekonomi, dan politik bangsa Indonesia. Masyarakat menunjukkan perlawanan melalui seni pertunjukan tradisional seperti angklung sered di Balandongan, Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Seni ini dijadikan sebagai alat perjuangan melawan penjajah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan nilai-nilai ideologi sosial masyarakat dalam angklung sered di Balandongan. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis semiotika, fokus pada teks dan konteks pertunjukan angklung sered. Analisis teks berfokus pada alat musik angklung yang digunakan, sedangkan analisis konteks memeriksa fungsi kesenian ini sebelum dan setelah kemerdekaan. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan angklung sered sebelum kemerdekaan menjadi simbol perjuangan, sementara setelahnya lebih menekankan estetika pertunjukan. Angklung sered juga menjadi ideologi sosial masyarakat, tercermin dalam makna dan simbolnya yang menjadi dasar keyakinan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly impacted the promotion and presentation of Tari Ronggeng Ketuk. This study aims to describe how Sanggar Asem Gede Losarang utilizes digital technology to promote this dance. The main subject of the research is the owner of the sanggar, Dede Jaelani, while the object of the research is Tari Ronggeng Ketuk. This study is based on the grand theory of Cultural Studies, employing a qualitative paradigm with a multidisciplinary approach encompassing digital marketing and non-formal education (sanggar) and a descriptive analysis method. Data was collected using triangulation techniques, including interviews, observations, and document studies. The data analysis process in this research includes data reduction, presentation, and systematic verification to ensure data validity. The results indicate changes in the presentation of Tari Ronggeng Ketuk regarding the number of dancers, accompanying music, and performance duration due to the digital era. Promotion strategies include using the sanggar's blog, collaborating with influencers on social media platforms, partnering with photography communities, and participating in cultural activities such as Napak Jagat Pasundan. This research is expected to support the preservation of traditional dance and promote cultural heritage for the future. AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi digital telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap promosi dan penyajian Tari Ronggeng Ketuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana Sanggar Asem Gede Losarang memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mempromosikan tari ini. Subjek utama penelitian ini adalah Dede Jaelani, pemilik sanggar, sementara objek penelitiannya adalah Tari Ronggeng Ketuk. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada grand theory Cultural Studies menggunakan paradigma kualitatif dengan pendekatan multidisiplin (pemasaran digital dan pendidikan non formal). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi dengan proses analisis data meliputi reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data secara sistematis untuk memastikan keabsahan data. Strategi promosi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tiga langkah: (1) perubahan konten yang disesuaikan untuk penampilan digital, (2) kerja sama dengan komunitas seni Napak Jagat Pasundan, dan (3) pemanfaatan media sosial seperti blog, Facebook, Instagram, dan YouTube sebagai sarana promosi. Strategi tersebut telah meningkatkan jumlah viewers tayangan Tari Ronggeng Ketuk sehingga leih dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat mendukung pelestarian tari tradisional dan mempromosikan warisan budaya untuk masa depan.Kata Kunci: digital; promosi; studi budaya; tari ronggeng ketuk

Abstract

Pembelajaran musik pada usia sekolah dasar memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung perkembangan kemampuan kognitif, motorik, dan emosional anak. Dalam konteks pembelajaran drum, metode pengajaran yang tepat menjadi kunci keberhasilan untuk meningkatkan koordinasi motorik, pemahaman pola ritmik, dan ketepatan tempo pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas metode Gots dalam meningkatkan keterampilan drum siswa sekolah dasar di Favore Music. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menggambarkan proses pembelajaran melalui observasi partisipatif, serta peneliti terlibat langsung sebagai guru dalam pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian melibatkan siswa yang mengikuti kelas drum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode “Gots” mampu membantu siswa secara bertahap memahami pola ritmik, teknik dasar drum, permainan beat, dan variasi fill-in melalui interaksi aktif antara guru dan siswa. 90% siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam ketepatan ritme setelah dua sesi pembelajaran menggunakan metode Gots. Secara khusus, metode ini menunjukkan efektivitas yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan teknis dan musikal siswa. Dampaknya, metode “Gots” dapat menjadi alternatif pengajaran yang mendukung pembelajaran musik yang interaktif dan progresif, khususnya bagi siswa usia sekolah dasar.
