Abstract

Dance performance is not merely a sequence of artistically arranged movements. Instead, a dance performance serves as a cultural communication medium between the creator and the audience. In the presentation of dance, expressed through each movement, there is meaning that goes beyond the physical aspects alone. Whether through harmonious movement or the selection of specific themes, a dance performance acts as a window that opens the audience's view into the world of emotions, values, and stories intended by the creator. The Bubuka Lawang Dance during Nyiar Lumar in Kawali, Ciamis Regency, West Java, showcases a community that continues to preserve and uphold its culture through Nyiar Lumar activities held every two years. Since 1998, Nyiar Lumar has been organized with the aim of building social solidarity through artistic activities in public spaces. This article aims to describe the research findings on the presentation of the Bubuka Lawang Dance during Nyiar Lumar in Kawali, Ciamis Regency. The research method employed is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results reveal three stages in Nyiar Lumar: ngawalan (Opening ceremony), lalampahan (Journey), and magelaran (Performance). Additionally, there is a distinctive dance always featured during Nyiar Lumar titled "Tari Bubuka Lawang," with a different concept each year. Nyiar Lumar is closely related to the historical event of the Bubat War, which serves as the theme for Nyiar Lumar. The stage concept utilized is an outdoor stage with lighting relying on torches and candles. The movements are categorized into locomotion, pure movement, and symbolic gestures. Nyiar Lumar has become a biennial event to commemorate the history of West Java, Indonesia.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how Senam Bedincak can be an alternative recreational sport for the people of Bangka Belitung. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the choreographic and musical structure of Bedincak Gymnastics in Bedindak Gymnastics so that it becomes an alternative recreational sport for the people of Bangka Belitung. The method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. Bedincak Gymnastics is a community sport that adopts traditional Bangka Belitung dance movements such as Kedidi Dance, Dincak Dambus Dance and Measles Dance. The purpose of Bedincak Gymnastics is to improve the overall health and fitness of the community as well as to introduce and preserve Bangka Belitung culture to the community. Bedincak Gymnastics consists of 7 movement structures, namely opening movement, pattern 1 movement, pattern string movement, bedincak basic movement, pattern 2 movement, pattern 3 movement and closing movement.

Abstract

The Bakti Purnamasari traditional ceremony serves as a vessel for the community to engage in spiritual practices that have been passed down through generations, based on references from the Pantun Pajajaran Bogor manuscripts. Additionally, this traditional ceremony serves as a social platform for communal activities. The Bakti Purnamasari Ceremony transcends beyond a mere series of religious rituals; it becomes a manifestation of cultural continuity and social involvement laden with values and meaning. In this context, the ceremony not only embodies spiritual values but also significantly contributes to the formation of community identity and the reinforcement of social solidarity. In the context of this article, the aim is to describe and analyze the research findings related to symbols, subsequently elaborating on their meanings and the trisilas value namely, silih asih,silih asah, and silih asuh embedded in the Bakti Purnamasari traditional ceremony in Sukabumi. The research methodology employed is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. Participants in the study were selected from cultural figures in the city of Sukabumi, deemed valuable sources of information due to their rich knowledge and experiences associated with the Bakti Purnamasari Ceremony. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentary studies, with data analysis using triangulation. The research results indicate that the symbols in the traditional ceremony are reflected through offerings with intended meanings expressing gratitude for the blessings received. The trisilas values in the Bakti Purnamasari ceremony portray sincere expressions of love and affection, mutual filling or synergy, and a sense of selfless care.

Abstract

Kebudayaan merupakan gagasan atau hasil karya yang tercipta melalaui kehidupan sehari-hari, tari merupakan budaya asli yang harus dijaga dan dilestarikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan teks dan konteks tari Anomsari melalui kajian etnokoreologi. Etnokoreologi adalah suatu disiplin ilmu untuk mencari teks dan konteks dalam sebuah tari etnis. Teori BASTE merupakan teori mengenai koreografi tari yang meliputi body, action, space, time, energy. Analisis koreografi pada penelitian ini menggunakan teori BASTE. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Ide penciptaan tari Anomsari diadaptasi dari gerak sehari-hari yang mengalami distorsi dan distilasi. Adapun dalam koreografi tari Anomsari memiliki 12 gerak pokok rias dan busana yang digunakan bertujuan untuk menambah nilai estetis dan penguatan karakter pada tari Anomsari. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menambah wawasan, pengetahuan, literasi untuk beberapa pihak mengenai ide penciptaan, koreografi serta rias dan busan atari Anomsari.

Abstract

Tari Khudat berada di Keratuan Darah Putih Desa Kuripan Kecamatan Penengahan Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, yang ditarikan dalam upacara ngakahak. Penelitan ini memiliki tujuan  untuk menemukan  fungsi, koreografi, tata busana serta  iringan musik Tari Khudat dalam arak-arakan Keratuan  Darah Putih .Tari Khudat adalah salah satu tari yang berasal dari Keratuan Darah Putih di Desa Kuripan Kecamatan Penengahan Kabupaten Lampung Selatan yang tergolong dalam masyarakat Lampung adat Saibatin. Payung penelitian ini menggunakan etnokorelogi yang dipadu dengan teori fungsi,  koreografi, busana dan iringan musik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian multidisplin metode kualitatif deskriptif analisis  dengan pendekatan etnokorelogi dan di analisis dengan disiplin ilmu antropologi, sosiologi, folklore dan ilmu tari. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui, observasi, wawancara, studi literatur dan dokumentasi.Temuan dalam penelitian ini  menghasilkan bahwa, Tari Khudat hanya ditarikan pada upacara “ngakhak” dalam rangka acara ruwah, khitanan, maupun pernikahan masyarakat di Keratuan Darah Putih, koreografi Tari Khudat didominasi pada gerak gesture dengan desain gerak asimetris dan memiliki ciri gerak yaitu pada gerak innani gerakan yang dimaknai sebagai penghormatan keluarga baru yang akan diterima masyarakat. Busana dalam Tari Khudat menggunakan model pakaian teluk belanga (pakaian melayu) yang menunjukan identitas masyarakat Lampung dengan iringan tabuhan musik hadrah serta syair-syair didalamnya sebagai pujian kepada Tuhan. Dengan demikian Tari Khudat adalah  tari  penerimaan dan perkenalan anggota keluarga baru masyarakat adat Saibatin yang mencerminkan Pi’il Pesenggiri yang bermakna kehormatan dan harga diri masyarakat Lampung.

Abstract

Tari Kembang Cabik sebagai tari tradisi di masyarakat ini muncul dengan latar belakang sebagai suatu tari yang disiapkan dalam penyambutan tamu agung sebagai bentuk penghormatan kedatangannya ke Desa Tebing. Fenomena dalam penelitian ini diangkat dengan tujuan untuk dianalisis nilai etika masyarakat Desa Tebing terkait penghormatan di dalamnya. Teknik dalam penelitian ini terarah atas metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnokoreologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Kenyataan yang terdapat dalam hasil penelitian atas analisis yang ada bahwa Tari Kembang Cabik memiliki nilai etika penghormatan yang dibangun dalam penciptaannya oleh masyarakat pengampu tari ini sebagai wujud rasa syukur, merendah diri, toleransi, ikatan persaudaraan dan kebanggan yang ingin diungkapkan dalam sebuah proses penyambutan tamu agung yang datang ke wilayah masyarakat Desa Tebing, yang dimana ia tampak secara empiris melalui tekstual tari dengan saling timbal balik akan kaitannya dengan kontekstual tari. Kesimpulan penelitian terkait fenomena yang diangkat ini bahwa keberadaan Tari Kembang Cabik di masyarakat Desa Tebing menyibolkan satu penghormatan, yang di mana kenyataan ini menjadi manfaat untuk diketahui bagi masyarakat Desa Tebing itu sendiri khususnya, sebagai upaya pemahaman etika berperilaku dalam masyarakatnya, serta menjadi satu rujukan terhadap penelitian Tari Kembang Cabik di kemudian hari dari aspek yang terkait lainnya.

Abstract

This research explores the intricate relationship between psychoacoustic parameters and microphone selection for soundscape recording, drawing inspiration from foundational concepts introduced by Schafer and Cage. Motivated by the need to comprehend the influence of psychoacoustic dimensions—specifically frequency, sound intensity, and time—on the choice of microphones for capturing auditory environments, the study adopts Liu and Kang's systematic literature review method. This approach entails a comprehensive analysis of diverse sources to identify knowledge gaps and establish a robust theoretical foundation. The primary aim is to offer practical guidance to professionals and researchers in the field of soundscape recording. Findings underscore the efficacy of a cardioid condenser stereo microphone that aligns with the analyzed psychoacoustic parameters. This study not only contributes to advancing practices in soundscape recording but also deepens our understanding of the intricate dynamics between soundscape, psychoacoustics, and sound recording devices. By recognizing the significance of Liu and Kang's methodology, the research serves as a foundation for future experimental designs and field testing. Acknowledging Liu and Kang's contributions, the study highlights the pivotal role of their systematic literature review method in shaping the research landscape, underscoring the importance of methodological rigor in advancing our understanding of complex auditory phenomena. This research provides a comprehensive overview of the nuanced relationship between psychoacoustic parameters and microphone selection for soundscape recording, contributing to the broader discourse in the field of auditory research.
