Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of gamification on financial knowledge through student enjoyment and student engagement. This study employed a quantitative approach and used a survey to examine the relationships between variables. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with 289 students who have previously received financial education at a public university participating as respondents. The research instrument utilized a questionnaire developed based on prior studies. The results were tested using Variational Bayesian Structural Equation Modeling (VB-SEM) to analyze the influence between variables. The findings showed that gamification had a positive impact on student enjoyment and student engagement. This study demonstrates that gamification does not directly influence students' financial knowledge. Student engagement fully mediated the effect of gamification on students' financial knowledge, whereas enjoyment does not affect students' financial knowledge. This study underscores the importance of fostering student engagement in gamification to enhance financial knowledge. The implications of this research include strengthening student engagement through various strategies, such as apperception, motivation, and interaction during the use of gamification in financial education.

Abstract

Gestures was an important in mathematics teaching and learning because it can increase student’s cognitive load. however, many teachers pay little attention to gestures in carrying out learning in class. This study aims to describe and compare the gesture of primary school teacher in mathematics teaching and learning. Qualitative of case study used in this study. Two teachers in “Islam Athirah” of elementary schools consist of one senior teacher and one prospective teacher as research subjects. Data was collected through audiovisual material and interview. The teachers were observed and recorded when performing mathematics teaching and learning. Interview were conducted with ten selected students to find out feedback from learning activity. The finding showed that pointing gesture was frequently used in mathematics teaching and learning. Furthermore, senior teacher better in performing gesture than pre-service teacher. Senior teacher has an excellence in pointing and writing gesture, while pre-service teacher has an excellence in performing representing gesture.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the performance of the Barru POMU Steam Power Plant (PLTU) Unit 2 through testing of Net Plant Heat Rate (NPHR), Specific Fuel Consumption (SFC), and Net Capability (Daya Mampu Netto - DMN). The tests were conducted at four variations of operating load, namely 75%, 85%, 92%, and 100%, using the input-output method and the heat loss method in accordance with the ASME PTC 4 standard. The test results show a Net Capability (DMN) of 44.64 MW. The lowest NPHR value was obtained at 100% load, which was 3,794.04 kcal/kWh with a Net SFC of 0.96 kg/kWh, while the highest NPHR was at 75% load, which was 4,166.23 kcal/kWh with a Net SFC of 1.02 kg/kWh. Boiler efficiency using the heat loss method ranged from 81.60% to 83.02%, increasing with the increase in load. The analysis indicates that operation at full load provides optimal efficiency with the lowest specific fuel consumption. This research provides baseline data for operational optimization and power purchase agreements in the context of PLN's generation consolidation into the Subholding Generation Company.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi secara mendalam efektivitas administrasi dan supervisi pendidikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di SDIT Ikhtiar UNHAS Makassar. Informan penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang akademik, pengawas sekolah, guru-guru di berbagai tingkatan kelas, dan staf administrasi yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem administrasi pendidikan di SDIT Ikhtiar UNHAS Makassar telah terstruktur dengan baik, mencapai tingkat kelengkapan dokumen pembelajaran 96%. Program supervisi akademik dilaksanakan secara sistematis dan berkelanjutan dengan frekuensi 2 kali per semester, mencakup observasi kelas, konferensi reflektif, analisis dokumen pembelajaran, dan rapat koordinasi supervisi. Integrasi sinergis antara administrasi yang efisien dan supervisi yang terstruktur telah meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru sebesar 21%, kepuasan guru terhadap proses supervisi mencapai 92%, dan penggunaan metode pembelajaran inovatif meningkat 30%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa dari 76% menjadi 88% dan rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 74,2 menjadi 81,6. Meskipun menghadapi hambatan seperti keterbatasan waktu guru dan beban administratif yang tinggi, faktor-faktor pendukung berupa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang inspiratif (95%), budaya sekolah yang kolaboratif (92%), dan dukungan pengawas dari dinas pendidikan (98%) telah memungkinkan implementasi yang efektif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa efektivitas administrasi dan supervisi pendidikan memiliki pengaruh signifikan dan berkelanjutan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, profesionalisme guru, dan prestasi belajar siswa di SDIT Ikhtiar UNHAS Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Gambaran penggunaan media pembelajaran tangram siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 291 LIU Kabupaten Wajo, (2) Gambaran pemahaman konsep bangun datar siswa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran tangram di kelas IV UPTD SDN 291 LIU Kabupaten Wajo, (3) Pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran tangram terhadap pemahaman konsep bangun datar siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 291 LIU Kabupaten Wajo. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media pembelajaran tangram, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah pemahaman konsep bangun datar. Pemilihan sampel yang dilakukan yaitu menggunakan teknik perposive sampling dengan hasil kelas IV B sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IV A sebagai kelompok kontrol, masing-masing terdiri dari 29 jumlah siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian yaitu tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data dikumpulkan dari pemberian tes pada ranah kognitif kemudian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial menggunakan uji Independent sample T- Test. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Gambaran penggunaan media pembelajaran tangram terlihat berdasarkan lembar observasi, dari tahapan-tahapan pembelajaran yang diamati pada setiap pertemuan proses pembelajaran terlihat meningkat melalui kegiatan siswa maupun guru, (2) Gambaran pemahaman konsep bangun datar siswa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran tangram, pada perolehan hasil pretest kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol masuk dalam kategori kurang. Sedangkan, pada perolehan hasil posttest kelompok eksperimen berada pada kategori sangat baik dan kelompok kontrol masuk dalam kategori baik, (3) Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik inferensial diperoleh nilai probabilitas pada posttest kedua kelompok yaitu P= 0,000 lebih kecil dari α= 0,05. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran tangram memberikan pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep bangun datar siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 291 LIU Kabupaten Wajo.

Abstract

Teachers have a role that determines the success of learning, including in early childhood education (PAUD). Scientific learning is one of the recommended approaches in PAUD, but the competence of teachers in implementing it is still low even though they have attended various related trainings. Peer coaching is one of the professional development models inherent in the work of teachers, but teachers need to be prepared to apply it consistently and sustainably. The peer coaching model developed prepares teachers in a series of collaborations with fellow teachers starting from determining focus, making observations, reflecting on observations, providing inspiring feedback and actively making improvements and strengthening so as to ensure the continuity of the professional development of PAUD teachers. From the results of the development and internal testing of the model, it is proven that the model is feasible to be applied. The results of field trials also prove that the peer coaching model is effective in increasing the competence of PAUD teachers in implementing scientific learning through the three stages of the peer coaching cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for developing marine ecotourism in Tolandono Island, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi, to support environmental sustainability and improve the welfare of local communities. A qualitative descriptive method with a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) approach was employed to identify potentials and challenges in ecotourism development. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews with 55 respondents, and focus group discussions (FGD) involving tourism business actors, local communities, tourists, and relevant institutions. The findings reveal that Tolandono Island possesses high marine biodiversity and conservation status, despite challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, low capacity of local human resources, and threats to marine ecosystems from destructive activities and climate change. Four main strategies were formulated: 1) technology-based promotion and development of tourism facilities (SO); 2) human resource training, institutional strengthening, and infrastructure improvement (WO); 3) resource management to address environmental threats (ST); and 4) conservation education and livelihood diversification (WT). The implementation of these strategies is projected to increase tourist visits by 20% annually, contribute up to IDR 2 billion per year to the local economy, and reduce marine ecosystem damage by 25%. This study highlights the importance of collaboration between the government, local communities, and stakeholders to ensure sustainable community-based ecotourism in Tolandono Island.

Abstract

Desa Liya Togo memiliki potensi besar untuk mengembangkan agrowisata pesisir sebagai upaya peningkatan ekonomi lokal berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji tingkat partisipasi masyarakat, mengidentifikasi tantangan utama, dan merumuskan strategi pemberdayaan yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik untuk menggali keterlibatan masyarakat, hambatan, dan peluang yang ada.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Desa Liya Togo, kelompok perempuan dan pemuda berperan aktif dalam budidaya rumput laut, pengolahan singkong menjadi makanan tradisional (Kasoami), minuman herbal (Saraba, Teh Kelor dan Madu Hutan), budidaya bawang merah, serta promosi wisata (Wisata Kebun Edukatif) melalui media sosial. Namun, tantangan seperti infrastruktur jalan yang belum memadai, keterbatasan pelatihan kewirausahaan, dan akses pasar yang terbatas masih menghambat perkembangan agrowisata pesisir. Strategi pemberdayaan yang disarankan meliputi pelatihan rutin berbasis kebutuhan lokal, pembentukan BUMDes wisata, serta integrasi antara agrowisata dan ekowisata bahari.
