Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of leadership and competence on organizational commitment. To know and analyze the influence of leadership and competence on employee performance. To know and analyze the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance and to know and analyze the influence of leadership and competence on performance through organizational commitment. In this study, the population was 105 non-educational employees. The sample used was 105 people. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data, while the data collection technique used questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this study is the data analysis used in this study is sem. Leadership influences commitment. Competence affects commitment. Leadership affects employee performance. Competency affects the performance of employees. Commitment has a significant effect on employee performance. Leadership has a significant effect on employee performance through commitment. And competence has a significant effect on employee performance through commitment.

Abstract

Eucheuma cottonii is a seaweed cultivated in Galo-Galo Village, South Morotai District, Morotai Island Regency. The seaweed, Eucheuma cottonii, has not yet been processed into semi-finished or finished products. One of its components, carrageenan, can form a gel, which can then be used to create various products such as agar, dodol, and jelly candy. This study aimed to convert Eucheuma cottonii seaweed into jelly candy and to analyze consumer acceptance of the resulting product. A qualitative research method was employed for this study, with samples of Eucheuma cottonii collected from Galo-Galo Village. Ginger and citric acid were added as natural flavorings to enhance the candy's flavor and mask the seaweed's fishy taste. Before conducting the organoleptic test on the jelly candy, a preliminary study was conducted to determine the optimal formula. The organoleptic test used 60 untrained panelists. The results showed that the right formula for making jelly candy was to use 300 g of Eucheuma cottonii, 500 g of sugar, 300 g of gelatin, and 0.75 g of citric acid. The results of the organoleptic assessment by 60 panelists showed that Eucheuma cottonii jelly candy has a rather bright color, chewy texture, and pleasing to delicious taste. Thus, this study's results can positively contribute to the local economy and introduce new healthy and nutritious products to the community.

Abstract

Abstrak Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang kontekstual dengan mempelajari pola dan struktur angka dan simbol. Pada tahun 2022 PISA mengungkapkan bahwa Indonesia menduduki peringkat ke 69 dari 80 negara. Hal tersebut dikarenakan masih rendahnya kemapuan numerasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya yakni minimnya penerapan media pembelajaran yang menarik oleh guru, sehingga tahap pembelajaran menjadi kurang efektif serta tak berjalan optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi siswa dengan bantuan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yaitu Educandy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode RnD dengan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik uji validitas media, validitas materi, observasi, pretest, postest dan angket. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SDN Kemayoran 13 Jakarta sebanyak 22 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu Educandy dinyatakan dapat membuat proses pembelajaran menjadi efektif dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi sebanyak 22,85%. Kata Kunci: Educandy; Media Pembelajaran; Numerasi; Pengembangan AbstractMathematics is a contextual subject by studying patterns and structures of numbers and symbols. In 2022 PISA revealed that Indonesia was ranked 69th out of 80 countries. This is due to the low numeracy skills of students in the learning process. One of the factors causing this is the lack of application of interesting learning media by teachers, so that the learning stage becomes less effective and does not run optimally. This study aims to improve students' numeracy skills with the help of technology-based learning media, Educandy. This research uses the RnD method with the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques used media validity, material validity, observation, pretest, postest and questionnaire. The subjects of this study were third grade students of SDN Kemayoran 13 Jakarta as many as 22 students. The results of this study are Educandy is stated to be able to make the learning process effective and can improve numeracy skills by 22.85%.  Keywords: Development; Educandy; Media learning; Numeracy

Abstract

Background: Educational games are increasingly recognized as effective teaching tools, especially in elementary education. This study focuses on the application of a treasure hunt game in teaching mathematics, specifically time measurement concepts, to second-grade students at SD Islam PB Soedirman, Cijantung, East Jakarta.Aim: The primary aim of this research was to assess the impact of the treasure hunt game on the improvement of mathematical learning outcomes among the students.Method: This research adopted a quantitative experimental approach with a Post-test Only Control Group design. The sample consisted of 50 second-grade students divided into two groups: an experimental group (2D) and a control group (2G), each with 25 students. The experimental group was taught using the treasure hunt game, while the control group did not receive any special intervention. Data collection was conducted through observation and objective testing with 13 multiple-choice questions that had been validated. Data analysis was performed using SPSS for testing validity and reliability, as well as for prerequisite and hypothesis testing.Results: The prerequisite test results indicated that the data were homogenous and valid. The hypothesis testing, conducted using a paired t-test, showed a significant value of 0.003 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups.Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the treasure hunt game significantly influences the improvement of mathematical learning outcomes in time measurement for second-grade students. This suggests the effectiveness of game-based learning methods in the context of elementary mathematics education.

Abstract

Settlement maps serve not only as visual tools but also as a basis for developing local policies. Creating settlement maps in Tiley Village involved various methods, including field surveys, geospatial data collection, and data analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS) software. This approach allows for an accurate depiction of settlement distribution, infrastructure, and land use. The purpose of the community service was to create settlement maps for neighborhood units (RT/RW) in Tiley Village, involving the community, and to explore the potential benefits of such mapping for the local community. The community service activity was held in November 2024 at the Tiley Village Hall, South West Morotai District, Morotai Island Regency. Activities included field surveys, discussions with the community, direct interviews with the village government, map creation, handover, and outreach. The method is a participatory approach involving elements of the village government and the local community. The results of the settlement map of the neighborhood units (RT/RW) in Tiley Village show variations in settlement patterns and land use. The resulting map depicts the distribution of settlements, land use, and existing infrastructure. One interesting finding from the settlement map is the concentration of settlements around clean water sources. This indicates that access to clean water is a significant factor in the community's choice of settlement locations. After the settlement map was completed, the final stage was community outreach to understand the benefits of the map. This outreach was conducted through meetings at the village hall, where the community was explained the benefits of the settlement map and how to access the information contained within the map.ABSTRAKPeta pemukiman bukan hanya berfungsi sebagai alat visual, tetapi juga sebagai dasar dalam pengembangan kebijakan lokal. Proses pembuatan peta pemukiman di Desa Tiley melibatkan berbagai metode, termasuk survei lapangan, pengumpulan data geospasial, dan analisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak GIS (Geographic Information System). Pendekatan ini memungkinkan penggambaran yang akurat tentang distribusi pemukiman, infrastruktur, dan penggunaan lahan. Tujuan pengabdian adalah proses pembuatan peta pemukiman lingkungan RT/RW di Desa Tiley dengan melibatkan masyarakat, serta mengeksplorasi manfaat yang dapat diperoleh dari pemetaan tersebut bagi masyarakat setempat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2024 bertempat di Balai desa Tiley Kecamatan Morotai Selatan Barat, Kabupaten Pulau Morotai. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan meliputi survei lapangan, diskusi dengan masyarakat, melakukan wawancara secara langsung dengan pemerintah desa, pembuatan peta, penyerahan dan sosialisasi. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan unsur pemerintah desa dan masyarakat setempat. Hasil dari pembuatan peta pemukiman lingkungan RT/RW Desa Tiley menunjukkan bahwa terdapat variasi dalam pola pemukiman dan penggunaan lahan di wilayah tersebut. Peta yang dihasilkan menggambarkan dengan jelas distribusi pemukiman dan penggunaan lahan, serta infrastruktur yang ada. Salah satu temuan menarik dari peta pemukiman adalah adanya konsentrasi pemukiman di sekitar sumber air bersih. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa akses terhadap air bersih menjadi faktor penting dalam pemilihan lokasi pemukiman oleh masyarakat. Setelah peta pemukiman selesai dibuat, tahap terakhir adalah sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang pemahaman manfaat dari peta tersebut. Sosialisasi dilakukan melalui pertemuan di balai desa, dimana masyarakat diberikan penjelasan mengenai manfaat peta pemukiman dan cara mengakses informasi yang terdapat dalam peta.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Leo-Leo Rao, Kabupaten Pulau Morotai, oleh Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Pasifik Morotai. Masalah yang dihadapi mitra adalah rendahnya pemanfaatan potensi lokal, khususnya dalam sektor perikanan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengolah produk perikanan menjadi produk bernilai tambah, seperti kerupuk kamplang dan tuna krispi. Manfaat kegiatan ini termasuk peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat dan pengembangan keterampilan yang berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi sosialisasi dan pelatihan, yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan melibatkan 37 peserta dari masyarakat setempat dan 12 orang tim pelaksana yang terdiri dari dekan, dosen, dan mahasiswa. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pengolahan produk perikanan, serta potensi desa yang dapat dimanfaatkan lebih optimal. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat pesisir untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka.

Abstract

Rendahnya literasi matematika siswa Indonesia menegaskan perlunya strategi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan gaya belajar dan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas V pada materi pengukuran satuan. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dengan melibatkan 30 siswa melalui kuesioner gaya belajar, tes literasi matematika, wawancara, dan observasi kelas. Data dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman untuk memastikan validitas dan kedalaman interpretasi. Hasil menunjukkan gaya belajar visual mendominasi (53,3%) dengan nilai rata-rata tertinggi (79,31) dan keunggulan dalam merepresentasikan data. Gaya belajar auditori (13,3%) lebih menonjol dalam penalaran dan komunikasi verbal, sedangkan gaya belajar kinestetik (33,3%) unggul dalam penggunaan alat matematika dan penerapan praktis. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang menyesuaikan modalitas belajar untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kinerja matematika, sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran adaptif yang mendukung program Merdeka Belajar. The low level of mathematical literacy among Indonesian students, highlights the need for teaching strategies tailored to students’ learning characteristics. This study aims to analyze the relationship between learning styles and the mathematical literacy skills of fifth-grade students on unit measurement material. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving 30 students through learning style questionnaires, mathematical literacy tests, interviews, and classroom observations. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model to ensure validity and depth of interpretation. The results show that visual learning styles dominate (53.3%) with the highest average score (79.31) and strengths in data representation. Auditory learning styles (13.3%) are more prominent in reasoning and verbal communication, while kinesthetic learning styles (33.3%) excel in using mathematical tools and practical applications. This study concludes that differentiated instruction that accommodates various learning modalities is crucial for improving mathematical understanding and performance, while providing practical recommendations for teachers to design adaptive learning that supports the Merdeka Belajar program.

Abstract

Due to the limited information received by the community, the service team carries out community service activities by conducting outreach on protected animals and mentoring teenagers who love turtles it is hoped that they will provide understanding to the community so that things that can threaten the sustainability of turtles can be avoided. The objectives of this activity are: 1). to increase public awareness about protected marine biota through outreach provided by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences service team, Pacific University, Morotai. Socialize the importance of efforts to protect turtles as protected animals. 2). Increase institutional capacity, knowledge, and skills of youth groups who love turtles or what is abbreviated as Reptiles. Service activities will be carried out in June 2023 in Tiley Pantai village, including the preparation, implementation, and closing stages. Based on the results of the service activities, the socialization of providing material about protected biota can increase the knowledge of the community, both adults, teenagers, and children, about sea turtles. Apart from that, assistance in making proposals can be understood and increase knowledge and skills for teenagers who love turtles in Tiley Pantai Village regarding how to make proposals, which they still poorly understand.ABSTRAKTerbatasnya informasi yang diterima masyarakat maka tim pengabdi melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan melakukan sosialisasi hewan dilindungi dan pendampingan remaja pecinta penyu sehingga diharapkan memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat sehingga hal-hal yang dapat mengancam kelestarian penyu dapat dihindari. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah 1). untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang biota laut yang dilindungi melalui penyuluhan yang dibuat oleh tim pengabdi Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Pasifik Morotai. Mensosialisasikan pentingnya upaya perlindungan penyu sebagai hewan yang dilindungi. 2). Meningkatkan kapasitas kelembagaan, pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok remaja pecinta penyu atau yang disingkat Reptil. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2023 di desa Tiley Pantai, meliputi tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan penutupan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi pemberian materi tentang biota dilindungi mampu meningkatkan wawasan kepada masyarakat baik orang dewasa, remaja maupun anak-anak tentang penyu. Selain itu pendampingan pembuatan proposal dapat dipahami dan menambah pengetahuan serta ketrampilan bagi remaja pecinta penyu di Desa Tiley Pantai terkait bagaimana cara pembuatan proposal yang selama ini masih kurang dipahami oleh mereka.

Abstract

The low level of spatial literacy among elementary school students in geometry is one of the main challenges in mathematics education. This issue is largely due to the lack of interactive learning media and the limited use of instructional methods that support spatial understanding. This study aims to develop a multimedia-based interactive e-book on plane geometry to ence the spatial literacy of fifth-grade students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Debelopment, Implementation, Evaluation). The participants were 32 Fifth-grade students from SDN Kebon Jeruk 08, West Jakarta. Resesrch instruments included observaitions, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessment. The validation results indicated that the interactive e-book is feasible for use, with a feasibility score of 94%. The effectiveness test showed a significant improvement in students’ spatial literacy, with a t-test revealing a mean difference of 26.48 points (p<0.001) between the pre-test and post-test scores. Students became more active, motivated, and cable of communicating spatial ideas more effectively. Therefore, the interactive e-book has proven to be an effective innovarive learning medium for improving elementary students’ spatial literacy. This study recommends the integration of e-books into geometry instruction and teacher training programs to optimize the use of digital media in the classroom.

Abstract

The phenomenon of cultural and religious acculturation in Indonesian society is often reflected in local rituals that are rich in religious meaning, one of which is the Angnganro tradition among the Kajang people in Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. This study aims to analyze the form of the Angnganro tradition and examine the ritual practice from the perspective of Islamic law, particularly in relation to its status as a form of vow or expression of gratitude for the fulfillment of prayers. This study uses a qualitative method with a sociological approach to law in the context of field research. Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with traditional and religious leaders, and documentation of rituals, then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that Angnganro is a collective ritual performed by the community as an expression of gratitude for recovery from illness, safety from disaster, or success in achieving a specific goal. This ritual is centered in a sacred forest area and led by a traditional leader (Amma Toa), with a series of preparations that can last for months, culminating in seven consecutive days involving extended families and traditional communities. From an Islamic legal perspective, this practice can be categorized as a form of ghairu mahdhah worship which is mubah, as long as it does not contain elements of shirk, bid'ah dhalalah, or violations of the principles of tawhid. Research confirms that the Angnganro tradition is a form of local cultural acculturation and an expression of religiousness that is acceptable in Islamic jurisprudence, provided that the practice remains based on the principle of tawhid and does not conflict with sharia law.
