Abstract

The aims of these research are to find out the comparison of the ratio of lauric acid molar and ethanol  (m/v), the time of mixing and the best catalyst volume to produce lauric ethyl with the highest degree of esterification by using volumetric method. Synthesize of ethyl lauric from lauric acid with ethanol did by using thick sulphate acid p.a as the catalyst with comparison of lauric acid with ratio 1:3, 1:4, 1:5, 1:6, 1:7. The variation of mixing time are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 hour. The catalyst variation are 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 mL. This research used random variable in the confidence interval 95%. The result of this research showed that the best molar lauric acid ratio and ethanol is 1: 7 (m/v) and esterification degree is 59,701 %. The best mixing time is 5 hour, and esterification is 53,283%, While catalyst volume variation is 1 mL with esterification degree 87,611 % Keywords : Lauric Acid, Ethyl Lauric, Esterification Degree, Volumetric Method

Abstract

The research about “The Effect of Variation of the Type of Acid on Gelatine Yield from Cakalang Fish Bone (Katsuwonus pelamis)”. The aim of this research was to determine the higher gelatine rendament using various of type of acid. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), each treatment was done in duplo.The acid variation in this research were Chloride, Sulphate, Phosphoric, Acetic, Oxalate and Citrate acid respectively. The result showed that the highest rendament was 14,658% at 5% of phosphoric acid. The analysis of the treatment has fulfilled the standard. Keywords : Gelatine, Cakalang fish bone, Isolate, Yield

Abstract

Synthesis of surfactant methyl ester sulfonate (MES) of methyl laurate has been done. This study aims to determine the best mole ratio between the methyl esters of lauric acid with sulfonated agent NaHSO3 in sulfonated methyl laurate. Mole variation used in this study are 1:1; 1:1,2; 1:1,4 and 1;1,6 (v/w). Best value MES emulsion stability, acid value and the surface tension is 94,5 minutes,1.3 ml KOH/ g sample, 39.3 dyne/cm in 1:4 ratio produces. MES synthesis produced by sulfonate group shown in the FTIR spectra in the wave number around 1366.52 to 1015.30 cm. Keywords : Surfactant Methyl Ester Sulfonate, Methyl Laurate.

Abstract

Fenolat retention of porridge instant functional for storage at room temperature. Has been done this study aims to determine the retention of instant porridge phenolics during storage as well as to determine the shelf life of instant porridge at room temperature. Estimation of shelf life or expiration period using the model of reaction kinetics. The treatment phase of the study include purple sweet potato flour manufacture, processing, instant porridge, instant porridge and storage at room temperature. Analysis of phenolics in instant porridge be done every 7 days for 56 days using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 765 nm. The data obtained is used to determine the shelf life of instant porridge. The results obtained show the retention levels of phenolics on day 0 was 100% and at day 56 was 27.911% and the expiration of a functional instant porridge is 55 daysKeywords: Phenols, functional porridge, Fenolat Retention, Shelf Life, reaction kinetics model

Abstract

The research about study of content phenolic and antioxidant activity extract ethanol tempeh gembus of a variety of incubation has been done. This study aims to know the time of incubation and time extraction that produced levels of the total phenolic and the best antioxidant activity. Determination of total phenolic using the method of folin-ciocalteu and antioxidant activity using the method DPPH. The achievement of goals be done through the application of the treatment of the time of incubation and time extraction of level of phenolic and antioxidant activity. The influence of the time of incubation is applied five levels of 0 hours; 12 hours; 24 hours; 36 hours and 48 hours. While the influence of time extraction is 1 hours, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 2.5 hours, and 3 hours. From the result obtained by the incubation is at the time of incubation 36 hours which resulted in levels of total phenolic of 7.75 % and the value of IC50 0f 1098.88 µg/mL. The use of time extraction is 1,5 hours that produces levels of total phenolic of 5.26 % and the value of IC50 of 1198.95 µg/mL.Keyword: tempeh gembus, total phenolic, antioxidant activity, time of incubation, time extraction

Abstract

Research using active charcoal leather peanut (Arachis hypogaea) as adsorbent in carotene production of crude palm oil olein fraction has conducted. This study aims to determine the ratio between active charcoal and olein that can produce the highest carotene shake time for 3 hours. Carotene analysis was conducted using UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The study design is applied is completely randomized design (CRD), with 5 variations adsorbent ratio is 1: 5; 1,5: 5; 2: 5; 2,5: 5; 3: 5 w/v and each stage is repeated twice. Results of this research showed that the ratio of peanut skin adsorbent 2: 5 w/v have the best adsorption weighing carotene obtained at 0,72 mg and percent absorption by the adsorbent reaches 97,3%.Keywords: Peanut Leather, Adsorbents, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, Carotene.

Abstract

The  aim  of  this  experiment  was  to  analyse  chemical  composition  and  functional  properties  of  corn  starch  from various  corn  varieties  extracted  with  natrium  bicarbonat  solution.  Corn  kernels  of  N35,  Sticky  corn,  yellow  Srikandi  and yellow local varieties were processed into starch. The starch was extracted with 1% natrium bicarbonat solution (1:10 [w/v]).  Starch of commercial corn was used as a control. This experiment used Randomized Block Design with three replications. Results of this experiment indicated that the highest starch, amylose, fibre and free fatty acid contents were obtained at starch of yellow local variety; and the highest sugar, protein and lypide contents were found at yellow Srikandi variety, whilst the highest ash content was achieved at N35 variety. Starch of sticky  corn possessed the lowest amylose  content, but had the highest amylopectine content. The highest water absorbtion and solution rate were obtained at starch of yellow local variety.  Furthermore, the highest oil absorbtion rate was achieved at starch of sticky corn variety. Corn starch extracted with natrium bicarbonat solution had a lower quality compared to commercial corn starch, and therefore the corn starch recovered here apparently should not be recommended as a food source.

Abstract

Keberadaan kasus stunting dan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang lambat di Desa Binangga menjadi pendorong untuk melakukan pengabdian. Metode yang digunakan dalam menangani kasus melalui pendekatan barbasis produk daerah. Makanan fungsional dari tepung ampas kelapa dan daun kelor dapat digunakan untuk menangani stunting dan menumbuhkan ekonomi masyarakat. Penanganan stunting dan pemulihan ekonomi dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu persiapan, produksi, standarisasi, penerapan, dan evaluasi. Tahapan persiapan meliputi indentifikasi dan diskusi masalah, serta sosialisasi dan penerapan pembentukan produk diikuti 45 orang yang terdiri dari ibu-ibu PKK, kader puskesmas, orang tua yang anaknya terindikasi stunting, dan petani kelapa. Dari identifikasi dan koordinasi dengan ibu-ibu PKK diperoleh data sekitar 10 anak yang terindikasi stunting berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, tinggi, dan berat badan anak. Tahapan selanjutnya dilakukan produksi dan standarisasi makanan fungsional. Tahapan penerapan dan evaluasi dilakukan dengan intervensi makanan fungsional selama 2 minggu dan pengukuran tinggi dan berat badan anak setiap minggu. Diperoleh hasil telah terjadi pertambahan tinggi dan berat badan anak rata-rata masing-masing 0,71 cm dan 0,48 kg tiap minggu. Keberhasilan intervensi makanan fungsional dalam meningkatkan tinggi dan berat badan anak dapat menjadi alternatif penanganan stunting. Keberhasilan ini juga dapat menjadi motivasi buat ibu-ibu PKK untuk mengembangkan dan memasarkan berbagai produk melalui platform digital.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Koperasi Purun Al-Firdaus memiliki beberapa permasalahan diantaranya sumber daya manusia  bagian keuangan tidak mampu mengoperasikan komputer dan melakukan pencatatan operasional keuangan meliputi penjualan, pembelian, penerimaan dan pengeluaran kas dengan benar. Pencatatan transaksi masih dilakukan secara manual. Hal ini, menyebabkan sering terjadi kehilangan buku catatan penjualan dan pengeluaran kas sehingga berdampak pada proses pertanggungjawaban laporan keuangan bulanan yang menjadi terkendala. Proses pemasaran pun masih dilakukan secara tradisional menggunakan pamflet dan status aplikasi chat yang berdampak pada pangsa pasar kerajinan purun ini terbatas di Kalimantan saja.Tujuan: Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan tujuan memberikan pelatihan kepada anggota koperasi yang mayoritas adalah ibu rumah tangga yang memiliki kemampuan dalam menghasilkan kerajinan purun supaya bisa menggunakan Web aplikasi keuangan SFIA (Smart Financial Application)  dan web promosi serta, memberikan pendampingan dalam mengkreasikan model kerajinan purun.Metode: Metode Pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dengan sistem Warrior Four Missing melalui metode Missing Based Learned yang akan dilakukan secara luring.Hasil: Menunjukkan bahwa terdapat para pengrajin yang mampu menggunakan Smart Financial Application (SFiA) untuk pencatatan transaksi dan pembuatan laporan keuangan serta pengetalasean produk untuk dipasarkan di dalam web SFiA. Simpulan: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk pengrajin Purun Al-Firdaus ini dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahapan warrior four mission meliputi motivation class, Coaching Class, Creative Class dan The Day Intercamp yang telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan di ikuti oleh banyak peserta PKM.

Abstract

Moringa seed oil is rich in oleic acid which has benefits for treating skin health. The use of Moringa seed oil as a basic ingredient for making transparent solid soap increases the advantages of soap because it has moisturizing and skin softening properties as well as antimicrobial. The manufacture of transparent solid soap based on Moringa seed oil aims to determine the mass of Moringa seed oil which produces solid soap with the highest foam and pH stability values, as well as the level of soap irritation. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design (CRD) with the independent variable being the mass of Moringa seed oil consisting of four levels of 27.5 grams (A1), 30 grams (A2), 32.5 grams (A3), and 35 grams (A4), while the dependent variables include foam stability and pH stability which were determined after 3 weeks of testing. The best formula was further tested with a solid soap irritation level test. The best formula for transparent solid soap was found in using 30 grams of Moringa seed oil (A2) with foam stability of 93.56%, pH stability of 9-9.6, and low irritation level of only 20% after five days of use.
